Shea, I’m becoming more fashion conscious and your cheery videos are helpful and entertaining! I appreciate your opinions and perspectives. You are bringing to my attention habits I never thought about before! Keep them coming!
Samantha Elizabeth AGREED. I asked my bridesmaids to wear nude heels in they had them for the wedding and I was shocked how many of them don’t have light/nude heels.
For the legging/butt question, I say it’s up to the individual! I’ve never cared if someone chose to or to not have their legging clad butt covered 🤷🏻♀️
If you haven't done a video on pattern mixing, could you? It intrigues me when done well, but I'm a bit fearful to try it without some guidance. I don't want to look like a mix and match day for an elementary school spirit day.

See at least Shea gives her friend Lauren credit for the question. There are just a lot of youtubers that don’t do that and it’s just refreshing to see a youTuber actually give credit.
I actually think the butt is coverage is less important then the cutchie cover in the front. Both should be covered when day to day activities, yes working out let it all hang out. Thanks for point it out.
1. buying the same outfits repeatedly 2. light coloured clothes, light shoes - skip the black! 3. cut the thread at the back of the blazer 4. leggings - cover your butt or not? (opinion) 5. wearing wrong undies - wear a bra that fits! 6. too much going on - choose between a statement necklace or earrings, not both 7. choose colours and patterns wisely. (personally i follow a 3 colour palette) 8. don’t wear heels higher than 3 inches / 100 mm
This is good 😂 I’d love to see a video on wardrobe! For example, what to fold, what should be hung instead of put away in a drawer, ways to store shoes, etc!
LOL... This was so entertaining and helpful! I see these fashion mistakes almost everyday. I, myself, have been guilty of #1 and 2. But the high heels had me going! Thanks!

Sort of agree on the leggings / butt issue... definitely ok to show at the gym but I think it’s also fine at the grocery store or for running errands! Just make sure it’s not three sizes too small 🤣 and of course cover it up for office work environment 🤷🏼♀️

I cant, let's be honest. Leggings are tights. I have Spanx tights which r equal to leggings but I dont wear as pants. 🤔🤔🤔 Again, leggings r not pants, unless u were working out, ummm...just no.

I read in a book many years ago that if you want to save a lot of money on shoes but still have them looking great, find a good cobbler, go through your shoes every season and get any repairs done to them, then only throw them out when they are in such a bad state that they are beyond resuscitation. I did what they said and my shoes now last years longer and I have saved a lot of money which can then go into other things. It was really good advice.
I like that you addressed the show/not show butt situation! I work at a clothing outlet and the rule is that our butts have to be covered if we wear leggings... So there's a stance from a professional wardrobe code
I'm glad you brought this up. You do NOT wear leggings and show your butt!!! Leggings are not pants!!! ALWAYS wear a tunic or a long top. That is a major fashion mistake that I see way too often. It's very class-less to wear leggings as pants. Even my boyfriend is put-off when he sees it lol. He says those women have no sense of fashion.
I have been purging my closets, yes I said closets! I’m 80, don’t work anymore, don’t go to fancy places much, so yes I really need to purge! Like you were talking about the same kind of sweater...that was me with tops...20 white tee shirts, blouses, etc 🤪WHY??? Same goes for other colors. Purses, O my gosh I got rid of 20 and still have more that need to go!! Shoes, well feet change as you age and don’t fit the same...I don’t need 15 pairs of heels, don’t wear lace tennis shoes anymore, flats that are to high, etc etc! Love your videos and I get a really big kick out of you..hugs💜💜
Just yesterday - 10 year old walks into my closet: “can I pick out what you’re going to wear today?” Me: “okaaaaaay.......?” 10 year old: “All you have is black pants” Me: “Not true!.........I also have..........black skirts.......” 10 year old - rolls eyes as she exits my closet.
About the "busy" outfits - in the 1960s I saw a brochure that gave points for each standout item in your outfit. A pattern was 1 point, fancy shoes 1 point, each piece of jewelry 1 point, even eyeglasses were 1 point, makeup 1 point. The brochure suggested limiting your outfit to x number of points, something like 8 to 12 points. Below that was too dull; above that was too busy. Some people like me need a guideline.
Hi Shea, I throw my Adidas in the washing machine on the cold cylce with a little bleach and they come out like new. I do it once or twice a year. 😁 I've had mine about two or three years now and they are still as good as new when I wash them. 😁 Great video! I really like your tips. 😁
You could do a whole 'how should it fit video on bra, underwear and shoes. Also when to wear what shoes both for health and fashion reasons and knowing when to get shoes fixed via DIY or find a good cobbler.
I TOTALLY get stuck on certain bras, I've had some literally like over 10 years lol but they're so beautiful. God I wish I owned Louis Vittons sorry if spelt wrong, God they're SO stunning 😍
Great tips! Great question about the leggings. Great answer too! Love your videos. I love what you said about the undergarments. I have this issue all the time. I always get measured for a new bra but when my cycle comes it doesn’t fit properly so now I feel like I should get measured during that time of the month and get a bra specifically that time. It’s crazy! 🤷🏽♀️
Fan of leggings in everyday life as well as the gym! They are comfy, easy, and sporty which is a lifestyle I appreciate. I personally always like to rock tucked in- fitness look
Yup. I like the hi rise Lulu ones Shea is wearing, I have the same in grey and black, but have to say the camo looks very nice. Maybe I should splurge? I wear them with no thought to my ass. I put on a sweat shirt or t shirt, and often tuck on the side.
Point #3 on cutting the thread 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 YAAAAAAS!!!!! I see the thread not removed on a lot of coats as well! I’ve also seen men wearing suit jackets with the designer name label still on the end of the jacket sleeve - you know what I am referencing, right? It burns my eyes when I see that. 😭😭😭😭
Agreed - cover the butt! As far as having eight of the same color, that’s just sweaters, right? Not handbags...I’m typing this as I’m looking at all my black bags......
My brother only wore suit jackets that covered his ...’junk’. He was funny about it. I think he thought of it like a suit of armor and the work-a-day world a battlefield. I agree completely about covering up... female or male.
Remove any price tags or stickers from underneath your shoes way too often people forget, same with the fabric care tags inside tshirts that are thin kinda see-through like the ones on the side
A fashion designer suggested women should wear different colors besides black, because if brings a glow to the face. I decided to try it. I bought a vintage, cranberry colored fuzzy cardigan.Every time I wear it I get a compliment on how great the color looks on me. Good to step out of the comfort zone
Great observations! I notice though that you have a great sparkly and upward or bouncy energy when you express yourself and yet your choice of beige, together with the long willow tree hair and draping blouse evokes a different vibe, which clashes in terms of aesthetic, with your vibrant nature. It’s like going to a TGIF’s but the indoor decor and music being like that of a massage parlor/spa.... creating a conflicting vibe from what is expected. I’d suggest you wear more vibrant colors to match your bubbly nature and crisp fabrics or anything that makes a zippy sound... and shorter happy hairstyle. Many people make a similar choice in dressing the opposite to their nature but when we recognize and accept and embrace it and dress it up to match it actually helps people accept the way we are because we aren’t creating a false or mismatched image to begin with. Wishing you the best and don’t change who you are!
Adrienne Dull i think you have NAILED IT! I am borderline plus, actually plus on top and rather fit waist down. Tiny butt, nice legs. But the tummy...ugh! Challenging to show the Assets!
The jewelry and patterns one: YES THANK YOU. I do see a lot of people doing this. As someone who wears alternative fashion, I think that one of the only times you can go "overboard" with accessories or colours and patterns is when wearing certain alternative styles that do it tastefully like dolly kei, mori kei, and EGL. Because there is an art to fashion and if you don't know what you're doing, you're going to mess up big time if you try too hard.
I totally agree that you should wear a longer top with leggings. French women don't count leggings as pants, and they even wear skirts and dresses over leggings. I think it doesnt look classy to have your butt exposed, but yeah if you work out I think it's okay. Oh, and I LOVED the video💕💕💕 Xoxo
you are such positive bright energy! thanks for great tips, I will implement(lists are lifesavers! 10 min clean & laundry basket from room to room great also) super enjoy watching your videos, even tho I'm a "Lazy diva" and am not so not into fashion.(minimalist, because i'm an equestrian..good excuse, but hey #reallifehours)
I only wear my butt out working out and am covered otherwise. I know younger woman can get away with it more than older but still! Funny that I saw a girl at the gym this morning with skin color leggings and thought the same thing. Please don't wear those! For me its attention getting in a weird and creepy kind of way and yet I have to make myself not look LOL. Thanks Shea for these tips! Love your videos.....short, funny, and informative! Oh and I've been watching and didn't realize I hadn't subscribed so DONE!!!
Lil Confused.... i think the CL 100 mm is closer to 4 inches (3.97) and the 85mm closer to 3 inches... so which is preferred to keep it at 3” heel or 4”
Shea! I just love listening to you! You are funny and intertaining and you give us the truth! in a very positive way! I have never been much for being stylish lol and I have learned a lot from you....and go figure, I do the majority of the fasion mistakes that you bring up HAHA! Keep it up! you are beautiful and just an amazing person and I do not see you stuck up in the least ( your words in your videos lol) Much love to you and your family! : )
I'm really happy that someone shared this! I HATE wearing leggings with a short top, i love it when my top covers my butt and the front part too. I really hate how Leggings look and how it shows stuff! Thanks for sharing
Marion Tia yoga pants are a better alternative because it shows off every inch of your body. Now we are in a generation where dressing conservatively is not appreciated by the majority of men. They would like to see some skin and there is no harm in doing that. 😋 this is called being kind to the male species. I am certain that Shea has to live up to her strict hubby's rules and standards that he sets for her hence she has to dress conservatively or else consequences may occur. 😋🧸🐰💕🐆
Lane4305 there shouldn't be any laws as to how everyone should dress themselves unless there is a dress code for where you work and makes you abide by the rules or else you won't be able to pay your bills but in my belief, telling others what's appropriate or not, it’s just utterly absurd and wrong. As you can see from the beginning of this video, she clearly mentioned that these are just what she experienced and she is not trying to impose her opinion onto others. I don't understand why people feel the need to exaggerate everything and pass their non-sense judgement onto others. We only live once and no one has a right to tell us how we should live and what standards we have to set for ourselves whether it’s morally right or wrong. Bottom line, it's no one business and should not concern you as long as no harm is being done. Peace ✌️ 🧸😋🐰
OMG I’m a dancer and liiiive in leggings. Other girls I work with also always wear leggings. We don’t always have a long shirt over ... I’ve never heard of the show vs no-show butt thing 😳😳😭
I liked every one of those eight beige sweaters 😊
Omg me too!!! Seriously haha!

Totally agree with the black shoes! Drives me nuts when I see girls wearing light or colorful dresses with black heels!!
Yep!!! Same here!!
Samantha Elizabeth AGREED. I asked my bridesmaids to wear nude heels in they had them for the wedding and I was shocked how many of them don’t have light/nude heels.
Samantha Elizabeth they are such a great basic - I love my nude heels
Y’all are over analyzing it lol
I'm petite so black shoes cut my legs, I prefer nudes which elongates the look.
For the legging/butt question, I say it’s up to the individual! I’ve never cared if someone chose to or to not have their legging clad butt covered 🤷🏻♀️

Yes it's hard but looks so good when pulled off correctly! Good video idea for sure!!

I also would appreciate a video on mixing patterns. I’ve seen so many of them lately and not sure which ones are correct.

You’re spot on about black shoes! They’re quite versatile but don’t look great with all outfits.
I actually have the same opinion on leggings. The long shirt snags on things, flaps around, or is distracting to you when you're being active or working out. But when you're going about your everyday life wearing a long shirt seems to feel appropriate in most situations.

I agree with you on the leggings issue.
I actually liked the white sneakers before cleaning better! especially with the frayed jeans, it looked relaxed/natural/lived in.
omgggggggggg a Shea videooo,, it's 12:45 am here rn and i'm cheering like a kid,, ly girl ♥ ♥ ♥
Ahhh you're the best!!! Thank you!!!
I’m 5ft and I’ve given up on heels.
Love your tips xx
I totally agree that you should wear a longer top with leggings. French women don't count leggings as pants, and they even wear skirts and dresses over leggings. I think it doesnt look classy to have your butt exposed, but yeah if you work out I think it's okay.
Oh, and I LOVED the video💕💕💕
Xoxo
Agree!!! Its so distasteful
you are such positive bright energy! thanks for great tips, I will implement(lists are lifesavers! 10 min clean & laundry basket from room to room great also) super enjoy watching your videos, even tho I'm a "Lazy diva" and am not so not into fashion.(minimalist, because i'm an equestrian..good excuse, but hey #reallifehours)
I agree with you on the butt legging situation! I wish everyone would heed that advice! Also no skin color leggings!!
Love all your videos! They are so helpful and your style is so cute 🙂
I love you!! Couldn’t agree more about the leggings 😉
This video is much appreciated!!! About 99% of my shoes are black!!! Wheww, I felt like a million dollar tip for me. Love all you videos!!!!
Lil Confused.... i think the CL 100 mm is closer to 4 inches (3.97) and the 85mm closer to 3 inches... so which is preferred to keep it at 3” heel or 4”
Agree--those heels look taller than my 3" heels for sure. Maybe remeasure.
That’s right Azalea’s Rutledge, 10 cm = 4 inches. For me 2,5 inches would be the most. Everything above that isn’t sexy, It’s trashy.
Hi Shea. Your fashion video is educational and useful. Thank you.
Buying beige sweaters is a real problem I have 😂🤷♀️
I'm really happy that your video popped up on my youtube page! Love your content and energy! Ps.I was guilty of the therad for years....
I'm really happy that someone shared this! I HATE wearing leggings with a short top, i love it when my top covers my butt and the front part too. I really hate how Leggings look and how it shows stuff! Thanks for sharing
When your hair is dark, you appear balanced with dark shoes. You wear your hair with every outfit, shoes in your hair color always work.
shea you are right about alot of mistakes
Yay I’m early!!!!!!!! Love the tips and tricks videos!!!!!
Woohoo!!! I love them too!
Couldn’t agree more on the statement necklace/earrings...less is more...always!
I agree the butt should be covered when your out not exercising.
Love the bright lipstick!
Agree on leggings. Outside of the gym, leggings aren’t pants!
Yes!!!!! Leggings not pants! So glad I'm not only person who knows/thinks that.👍
Marion Tia yoga pants are a better alternative because it shows off every inch of your body. 😋🧸🐰💕🐆
Mary S yes 🙌🏼
If somebody gots killer legs leggins are ok outside the gym
Great video! You mentioned quite a few items that some of us would never think of. Thanks for the info!
I want that long shirt you covered the leggings with! So cute! Where is it from?
OMG I’m a dancer and liiiive in leggings. Other girls I work with also always wear leggings. We don’t always have a long shirt over ...
I’ve never heard of the show vs no-show butt thing 😳😳😭
