Thank you very much for your kind words! I think everyone has their different strengths. I'm still always awed by Chris Cheng's color combinations, Olivier Oderant's vision, Laura Rafferty's capability with different mediums, and Zucchini Kitty's incorporation of paper crafting, as well as many other artists here. I love that we can all learn from each other on this platform!

Did you gesso a page in Romantic Country? Did this solve the problem? Was thinking of buying this book, but I like using watercolour pencils.
I haven't done it yet! I plan on making a video for it when I do!
About that blue pilling up on you. It's not the book - it's not the mediums - it's the color. Blue.
I know watercolor painters that chose their blues just for the blue granulating or not. Watercolorists like getting texture without effort and blues will granulate. It's in the nature of how blue color is made. Have some fun and try out all your blues, see which ones granulate and which don't. Some browns/tans will do this, too.

This is fantastic to know, thank you! I will definitely be doing some more testing and swatching. I've been so busy with school, but I'm just finishing up a term so hopefully I will be able to upload a video or two over the next two weeks. Then I'm hoping next quarter will be a little more relaxed than this one was. We'll have to see!
