Great video. I'm having trouble setting up midi for Matrix 1000 panel. I can't get the panel to receive or send any midi information. Just trying stand alone. Using Alesis 49 keyboard Midi Out -> matrix 1000 Midi In, Matrix 1000 Midi out -> babyface interface Midi In. Not able to route it correctly to work with Ctrlr matrix 100 panel, no response to data dump or anything. Getting audio from matrix 1000 just fine so midi keyboard and midi in is working. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Mmmmm, not sure what you're issue is but at I guess I think if you're trying to use a MIDI Keyboard and a Ctrlr Panel at the same time you'd need: 1 Set the MIDI Input and Output Ports in the Ctrlr Panel to the Ports the Matrix 1000 is connected to, then: 2 Set the Alesis 49 Keyboard as a 'Controller' Input on the Ctrlr Panel, and play around with the 'MIDI Thru' Options on the Ctrlr Panel till you got the MIDI Note On/Off to go through the Ctrlr Panel and end up at the Matrix 1000 This is something that I do need to try at some point :-(
@@spiffosmith2177 Hi Spiffo - I am not able to try your ctrlr build for lexicon pcm 70 and 80 on the ctrlr site because it says the link is expired! Am I doing smth wrong or is there any chance for you to upload them again soon? would be really greatly appreciated. And keep up the good work! All the best
i installed 5.3.201 but im getting an error msg every time i try to open a panel. the panel open just fine if i open them outside of the ctrlr environment. wwhen i try opening a panel in ctrlr, i get [ERROR ][21:50:39:000205]; CtrlrPanel:: openXmlPanel unknown file type. any ideas?
On a related topic, I was able to play your sounds on the Jx-8p with Ctrlr using the JAX '8p panel (I think you used this in one of your videos). One thing I couldn't do is have the settings on Ctrlr change values when I switched patches on the JX-8p. I can edit the tones, but knobs I don't touch don't show actual values. Another problem I had is that when I attempted to extract tones from a Jx-10 patch bank, it said "push ok" to start, but after pushing Ok, nothing happens. Any suggestions?
When you switch patches on the JX-8P it spits out the Patch Parameters which should be captured by the JAX-8P panel, this does work on my setup. It sounds like you have one way communication between the JX-8P and the Ctrlr Software. I would check your MIDI Input Device Settings on the Ctrlr Panel and if that is correct then try another cable. Incidentally when I move a parameter on the JX-8P only some of the JAX-8P Faders move in sympathy, some stay fixed and don't respond, I've never got to the bottom of that one. I don't think I quite understand the JX-10 problem, what exactly says 'Push OK'?
@@spiffosmith2177 Ctrlr says something like "This looks like a Jx-10 patch back. Will extrtact all tones. Push 'OK' to begin", but then nothing happens.
Think this will get my dusty TG77 back in use again, Thanks.
Just what I needed, thank you.
This platform looks awesome!
Thanks for making this introductory video ❤️
thank you good sir !!
