Thank you for keeping people updated. We have family in Jamaica vacationing now. They don't want to leave. Jamaica's reports are telling tourists it's coming in at a Cat 2. No problem. Not comfortable with this at all.

Well well.... All the sudden more models are showing it turning into the US towards TX & LA. Which I'm sure local weather stations will wait 24 - 48 hrs before it makes landfall to evacuate. Water temps are very high in the gulf. 😏 Thanks Jesse for the updates!! You're the best!!

My wife and a group of friends are there. They’ve been trying to leave since Monday there were no flights going out. They couldn’t find any flights. The government there ceased air travel.

Thanks Jesse! That's a 'bad' storm! It made me think of the movie, 'Twister' when they were all sitting around the dinner table talking about the different levels of a tornado. And someone asked, 'What's the level called if it goes about a 5?' And the answer was, 'It's the 'Finger of God'. And everyone got silent. This storm is a scary one, to me! I've been been in a few, but like you said, I'd be looking for a plane ride out of harm's way! That's for certain! Prayers for all!❤

2017, Hurricane Maria ripped and stripped the Carribean naked! No trees or houses were left.
That year we watched 3 hurricanes form one after another. Each one hit the Carribean and Puerto Rico.
Prayers for Jamaica. A few of my nurses at Emory University hospital in Atlanta are from there.

If the models start to agree on a northward turn, please don't forget to fill up your gas tanks. Prices are already ridiculous high. A major hurricane coming thru the Gulf rn would send up the prices even more! We're already at $3.70 per gallon average in Michigan. If the Gulf of Mexico takes a direct near Texas, I can see it going to $4.50.
