Toner Formulas for Blonde hair | Redken Shades EQ | New Blonde Formulas

- Today, we are working with Redken Shades EQ Crystal Clear and making gorgeous sheer blonde toning formulas. With just a bottle of Crystal Clear and a few drops of some pigmented colors, you can create something magical. In this video, I'm going to show you a few of my favorites. All swatches processed for a full 20 minutes so that you can see the full intensity of the tone. You can always process less time if you want a softer result. Formula #4 is the BEST silver formula if you process just until the hair turns silver. (Check out my last video to see this tone on a clients hair.)

can this process be used on gray hair? Looking to tone my hair with the color swatch 5 you did. Love it
It's designed for lightened blondes, but it may work on some of your gray. Usually, you don't see a big shift in gray hair with Shades EQ though, so this may just add shine and no tone to your hair.
Oh wow....I'm so sorry about your furbaby...... I know that loss well, sadly. They're so pure in how they love you so unconditionally. Nothing like it. I lost my little 16 yo Shih Tzu a bit over 2 yrs ago, and it still breaks my heart. Your little pup looked so precious and beautiful. She looked well loved. Again, I am so sorry.for your loss.

I’m sorry my puppy only a year old passed away from being hit by a car... he liked being out side and he figured out how to keep banging against the screen door to break open it.. I feel your pain. It’s been a little over 2 months and honestly I’m still grieving don’t ever let someone tell you it’s just a animal. It’s not their our babies... lots of love and prayer coming your way!

You won’t get the same colors on level 8, but you would likely achieve some shift in color.

Sorry to hear about your fur baby. Makes me feel sad. Will the pink color (5) wash clean out of bleached hair or stain the hair for a long time. My hair is pretty dry and porous and I am trying to find a semi pink that will wash out well from my bleached hair, for when I want to go back to my blonde shade.
Thank you. It’s hard to say. Each persons hair canvas is different so it really depends on how it grabs on your hair. These colors aren’t that dark at all, but these may be residual pink left over.

@@ChuckEdwardsHair The extensions were too pale to properly interact with the formula, just a very pale blonde since my bundles are nearly white but I popped it onto my hair and it looks EXACTLY like the video! It's a beautiful colour definitely will use it with a warm light brown base with pops of a blonde and the diluted 4M formula.

Great vid. How about if I want to do my whole hair with the last toner for light pink. I have waist long hair & thick. I would probably need 3 bottles of the toner. Not sure in the measurements.

My hair is 60% grey. I went grey at a young age : (. Can I use #1 to tone my grey so it looks like highlights? Nobody ever answers questions for those of us who are young greys.
These toners are designed for blonde hair but they may take on some of your gray hair. Typically gray hair is more resistant to color so you’ll likely end up with some strands taking the color and some not.

1/2 gram and 6RR is a color
