- The new Peugeot 408 has been launched in Malaysia with three variants. Prices range from RM146,055 for the entry level Allure model, RM166,055 for the mid-segment Premium model while the top of the line model retails for RM196,055. The new 408 is assembled locally at the Stelantis plant in Gurun, and if you are considering one, then you should perhaps watch this video before moving further.

Would they have a program for old Peugeot owners who are interested to own the new 408? As you know, Peugeot cars have very very low second hand value. What can they do to help Peugeot owners to upgrade? I believe this is the main problem why people do not buy Peugeot because of their second hand value. Please give us an update on this. Thank you.

Peugeot cars were once doing well in Malaysia. They are great in terms of performance, safety and comfort. Peugeot needs to improve on its service centres expertise and spare parts availability and the lion will definitely roar again here. Great cars.
Hopefully things get back to great soon, especially with the Stellantis parent company here officially.
is it using 1.6 Litre prince engine same like bmw F30 series before?
Yes, I believe it is the same engine.
Is this a full petrol model has same 1.6l engine or just a 1.2l? I understand that this car will be assembled in Malaysia and that is a bit worried me on the end quality. Any review on this matter? My friend has a CKD Mercedes and its quality is not as good as the CBU unit
Overall design is beautiful..but the rear bumper seems odd as you mentioned protruding & obnoxious looking..Maybe take a while to get used to..

It will probably depreciate a little quicker than the Japs until Peugeot Malaysia show they are here to stay and spare parts are no issue.
