Go green, but don't use food colouring. Use 1-2 tbsp matcha powder. Oh my god, the extra hit of flavour is perfect with pistachio and turns your cake a gorgeous colour.
I love how you get the green color throughout. Much better than using a pudding mix IMO and it doesn't look radioactive like the neon green in most other pistachio cakes. The pistachio top brought it all together for me. Keep up the great work, I look forward to seeing what other recipes you post!
Seen your recipe on Pinterest. I then tried to find you on UA-cam by just typing in Bonnie bakery… even with a lot of scrolling it did not show up. So I ended up typing “pistachio” after and then finally your videos came up. I’m subbing but thought I’d let you know that your not showing in the algorithms. X
Thank you to going to such lengths to find me! I really appreciate it! My youtube channel is still small but the website does okay in the google algorithm so most people find me there. I really appreciate you being here, hope you love the recipes!
Hiya, you need to have a powerful food processor, but it's very easy to do! I have a step by step guide here - bonnibakery.com/pistachio-butter-pistachio-paste/ :)
Hi Joyce, I think it really depends on what you are baking. I couldn't do without the KitchenAid as I use it for a lot of things like frosting and various cake batters. I haven't tested many cake batters in the magimix, but my go-to for things like that is usually the kitchenaid. The Magimix can do A LOT though. I've used it for whipped cream, meringues, and even dough. Although, I currently don't have my kitchenaid as I had to send it back for repair, and my Magimix is saving me on a lot of things! Sorry that's not more helpful, but I think it really does depend on what you're using it for!
@@BonniBakery thanks Bonni! That’s very helpful, I was indeed wondering if Magimix can do a good job whipping cream and meringue, great to know it does! I would love to get them both but might not have enough space.. Cheers ❤️
@@BonniBakeryHey sweetie, question are those pistachio cakes you made 2 6inch cakes or 2 8inch cakes ? I’m making this exact batch for my husbands birthday on Saturday & I’m curious if I have to double it up. Thanks!
What do you think of the green in the cake? Would you go green or stay au naturel?
I like the added green. To me it still looks natural.
@@ems1277 I think so too, it's not too over the top 'halloween' green!
What does pistachio taste like with matcha? That would be a natural alternative.

Drooling watching this!
Haha just don't drool into your cake batter ;)

Totally agree! No pudding mixes allowed here! :D
Nice color of green❤
The color of the batter looked gorgeous before adding coloring.

It's a lot cheaper than buying it pre-made!

Hi Bonni, do you think magimix can replace kitchenaid or you still need both for baking?
😊❤

Do you think the colour of the sugar makes a difference to the colour of the cake?
golden and white caster sugar will have no effect but brown sugars will and it'll change the texture too
Can you please give the weight for the eggs out of the shell please ? They look bigger than the standard Large 50g (out of the shell) American egg
En donde se encuentran las medidas?
00:37 ella las dijo
The sponge came out raw. I don't get how you can make a sponge without frothing eggs as a base?
Hola xfavor alguien me puede dar la receta en español
Nous measures in that recipe
I think I’m going blind, where are the measures on the website????
In the recipe card at the bottom of the page :). There’s a toggle on the recipe too so you can switch between cups and grams. Happy baking!
There’s also a button at the top of the page that says ‘jump to recipe’ it will take you right to the recipe card so you don’t have to scroll
