With the ear tag thing do they need to be registered to have or can we just buy them like that

Thanks for watching, from what I read I don’t think they need to be registered. All goats in my local fair get processed at the butcher after sale. I don’t think they would require registration if they are going to be for meat.

Also, I believe the tag is only used to trace it back to the breeder in case the goat is from another state.
