Top work boys. Sticking together and giving each other a hand through the tough stuff. That's what it's all about and makes it the more memorable trip. Loving this series. Keep it up
100% mate we’re all out there the make the most of the adventure, give each other a bit of shit and at the end of the day get through in one piece…gotta look after each other🙌thanks for watching man👍
That was gold, Curt! Had me smiling the whole way. Looked tough, exhausting, stunning and fun - with some sweet drone footage of the sheer vastness of the desert 😎👍 Hanging for the next instalment. Cheers mate 😎
Another great video mate, with some quality commentary, a few good laughs. You fellas make a good crew, looking out for each other well and having fun. I know that feeling of the slow going KMS wise at the start, it really is a tough old ride the French Line!
Ah thanks man appreciate it. Yeah we’ve known each other for years makes it good for banter lol the first part of the French Line was a bloody slog that’s for sure😅thanks for watching mate👍
I did this same trip few weeks ago on a xr416r big bore looks a bit dryer when u guys went through. We had nothing but mud pans. We did it east to west unassisted. Good job guys
@anotherguyonabike4726 as long as I didn't stop it was all good haha!!. But you just had to hit them at the right pace and hang on. After unloading once when I fell just short, that the first gear tractoring worked very well. It wasn't pretty!
Thanks man appreciate it. Yeah I would definitely look at getting my forks done to offset the extra weight, I done the rear spring but should have done the front. Possibly fit a Sargent seat as well for those bigger days on the bitumen. Thanks for watching mate👍
Man, I effin hate riding in soft sand like that haha, add on bloody heavy bikes and I don’t how you guys do it. I’d love to do the crossing but I’d be doing it in the comfort of something with four wheels I think.
Yeah Roger that, they were good for us to communicate if one had fallen off or if there was a vehicle coming up the other side of a dune but that’s all we used them for. Thanks for watching mate👍

That was epic Curt, pat on the back to all you guys for such a huge day.
Yeah was a big one, thanks dad👍
Poor Alex looks so overloaded what a trooper. No judgement guys wishing you nothing but success
Yeah mate he took good amount gear lol but done pretty bloody well considering he had also never ridden in sand before👌thanks for watching man👍
I think the french line was the toughest part when crossed, that's for sure. Cheers 4 sharing sir.
Yeah it was still so much fun though, thanks for watching Tex👍
You lads have done very well.
All helping each other out.
Nice effort
Thanks mate was a bloody good ride👌

Good on you mate would have been a tough slog through some of those pans I’d imagine. Cheers for watching👍
Great video , really enjoyed it mate , cheers wayne 👍
Thanks Wayne appreciate it mate👍
I rode through last weekend on me own on KLR. Those soft steep top of some dunes cut up by the 4wds were hard. well done boys.
Wow damn good effort on a klr how was the weight in those soft dunes tops?

Mate, these videos are awesome! Best thing on UA-cam! Love the way you take care of your mates!
Thanks mate super appreciated. Yeah just out there to enjoy the adventure and make sure we all get through in one piece🙌
awesome
Appreciate it👍
Great video, you are building some great memories.
Thanks mate was definitely a memorable trip👍
I could feel my muscles ache just watching this haha but what stunning scenery to ride in. Awesome 🤙
Yeah mate hard work but so freakin worth it🙌
What a days ride, and yeah it’s very hard to plan how far you’ll go in a day if you haven’t done it before. Great video and what a trip.
Thanks mate definitely a cracker🙌
As long as you got supplies to last no need to rush anyway enjoy the trip and surrounds, not everyday you get to cross the simpson.
Absolutely mate couldn’t agree more👍
Awesome guys...we've just been across but after the rain. Sand was much firmer and had 4wd's for support. 👍
Good on you mate, there was a massive downpour just a few days after we left Birdsville so you must not have been far behind us👍
Top effort guys!
Appreciate it mate👍
Really enjoying all your vids mate and this desert trip series is awesome. Would you do anything differently if you did the crossing again?
Thanks man appreciate it. Yeah I would definitely look at getting my forks done to offset the extra weight, I done the rear spring but should have done the front. Possibly fit a Sargent seat as well for those bigger days on the bitumen. Thanks for watching mate👍
@@anotherguyonabike4726did I see a cruise control device on your throttle?
@@kahlerbear yeah mate Alex got us some cheap ones to try out they definitely help reduce numbness in my fingers.
Big effort guys - well done. Torture defined as fun. Loving watching from my arm chair and not really envious!
Haha yeah mate absolutely, super fun👌thanks for watching Simon👍

I’d love to do the crossing but I’d be doing it in the comfort of something with four wheels I think.
Yeah mate was a bit of a battle with all the extra weight, definitely worth doing in any vehicle I reckon👌
What intercom are you guys using? Working well?
Hey mate they were just cheap Chinese comms for this trip but worked pretty well considering they were like $35
@@anotherguyonabike4726 that's awesome - got a link?
Great effort fellas what comms are you using 👏
Hey David we are just using a set of cheap Chinese intercoms for this trip, they worked surprisingly well. Thanks for watching mate👍
17:14 hey mate looks like your fighting the bike ,let it roll mate don't fight it ,take it from a former sand racer mate .
Yeah mate sometimes the sand just drags you in an unwanted direction. Done the best we could.
What date did you cross??
Mid may mate
Good conditions
Fantastic effort, not a fan of the intercoms though, way too much distraction, ride the ride, talk about if after
Yeah Roger that, they were good for us to communicate if one had fallen off or if there was a vehicle coming up the other side of a dune but that’s all we used them for. Thanks for watching mate👍
