    Because of how thin it is, you don't need baking powder - which ingredient makes it bubble and puff (raising agent).

    • @alokagrawal476
      @alokagrawal476 3 роки тому +1

      Oil and baking powder together, makes it crunchy and allows some bubble to appear.

    What is maze flour?.is that corn flour?

    • @blissofcooking
      @blissofcooking  2 роки тому +2

      It depends on where you are. In the US, corn flour is a finely ground version of corn meal and usually don't use the word maize to describe corn products. You can get cornmeal in several grades of coarseness, from that used for polenta or grits, to a finer grind used for baking, to the finest grind which we call corn flour.
      In the UK, cornflour is what in the States call cornstarch. It's used as a thickener, for velveting meat in stir frying, and for other things where starch is needed.
      So if you are North/South America it will be corn flour and in UK it will be called as maize flour.

      It is difficult to bind only with the maize flour and so you can add whole wheat flour instead of plain flour.

    Hey what's maize? Can you explain please

    • @abdelmahamnmoodally7398
      @abdelmahamnmoodally7398 4 роки тому

      Maize is just corn flour.

    • @blissofcooking
      @blissofcooking  4 роки тому

      Its a cornmeal. Cornmeal is a meal (coarse flour) ground from dried maize (corn). It is a common staple food, and is ground to coarse, medium, and fine consistencies, but not as fine as wheat flour.

    They must have some real 3rd quality maize flower in India because if you have good one never try this recipe. I even tried it and as a baker my prediction was right. Your dough would be too soft and will crack while rolling, frying or any other point. You need almost fake level maize flower for this that's how bad quality yours is. 😂
