The hero has made a decision that cannot be undone. After planning his revenge for a week and then enacting it, had he accomplished anything? Was he losing control over himself? He killed someone and didn’t stop; the body took three days to be identified. He took out his rage, but it didn’t fix the hole in his heart. He couldn’t undo the death of his family, no matter what he did.
His allies were now hunting him down. Once a hero, he was now a fugitive, wanted for murder and had nowhere to go. He thought he could stay ahead of them, but it was only a matter of time before someone caught up with him.
He couldn’t get past what he had done that fateful day. The former hero wondered if it would be best to end it all and escape the pain, and he had an opportunity. He took a deep breath and then pulled out his sword.
“Put the sword down.”
He prepared for what he was about to do.
“There’s only one way that ends; it’s not worth it.”
The former hero responded, “What I did, I can’t get past it.”
“I can help you, but you need to put the sword down.”
He started to feel a bit of hope; maybe his story didn’t have to end here. He put down the sword and surrendered to the pursuer.
“Thank you, friend,” the pursuer said before taking him into custody. The hero was confused; he was just called a ‘friend.’
And then, he killed them all for their betrayal ;>
Because loyalty is key to bring forth the haven of infinity.
And oh how sweet vengeance tastes when you rectify the mistakes of others, the mistakes of rising up against someone infinitely more powerful than them all combined.

I couldn't run away from the voices that raced in my head. Their screams blocked any rational thought that existed within me. My morality became skewed as I watched the man in front of me fall to his death. A smile broke across my face as I watched him splat against the concrete miles below. I could have saved him, I *SHOULD* have saved him but something inside myself stopped me. The news would not excuse it this time as I pulled my hands from their shove position down to my sides. The mask that dawn my face went from bleach white, to blood red. "KILL, KILL, KILL." Was the only thought that pervaded my own mind. Rushing towards the man in front of me was easy. So was slinging his lifeless body out the window. Me enhanced hearing heard the sirens start below, but I didn't flinch. I was the only thing that would come to the city's aid when a Supervillain set out to destroy it. I knew those protocols, run the sirens, then wait for 10 to 20 minutes, then investigate. The cops in this city had it easy, relying on me to do their work while getting paid huge government salaries for sitting on their asses! Not anymore. I would show them, I'll put the fear in all of them!
I slammed my fist onto the desk in front of me, mindlessly snapping the metal in half. My brain calculated damages before I could tell it not to: around $1832. They thought that I didn't care about the damage that I caused trying to save the city. No, I knew, and I cared. I just chose to value lives in the moment over some price. Human lives **were** priceless, now I am not so sure. Taking them was fun, fueled me with adrenaline. Footsteps protruded from the other side of the office, too busy focusing on my own thoughts to notice it until now. Without hesitation, I kicked the leg of the metal desk off, and immediately through it towards the man approaching. The metal leg piercing his chest, heart and hitting the wall behind it like a spear.
The voices came back louder this time, their screams killing my enhanced hearing. I couldn't think straight, so I barrelled through the reinforced bullet proof glass into the street miles below. When I landed however, my body remained intact, but the concrete sidewalk I landed on didn't fare so lucky. A deep maniacal cackle escaped me as I laid there, listening to the sirens blare in the distance. 11 minutes and 22 seconds left.
I am ***the hero who went mad***.
