I am retired in Thailand and this happens all the time. Not just the Karens from the US but many countries. We have a healthy LGBTQ+ society here in Thailand. Respect for all people is a part of the culture here and an important factor in retiring here. Why bother coming here if you are just going to slag off the locals. Don't need you. Don't want you.
