OMIGOSH - I wish I'd have found this tutorial months ago! I tried Canva blindly and gave up for a while. lol I feel much better about trying it again after watching this. THANK YOU!
This was very useful for me and interesting. I am familiar with canva and know how to use it but I don’t manipulate pictures so this was very helpful as a crafting beginner.
Easy to follow and a great tutorial! You are awesome at explaining things to beginners. I was able to follow this tutorial and learn Canva without getting frustrated or overwhelmed. Thank you so much!!
Thanks for this. I love Canva. I’ve not used Canva on a pc/laptop yet only on the iPhone app. However you can flip images with texts and texts on that pretty easily. The Cricut iPhone app is not great at all.
I am having a problem with it printing out flipped. I flipped the image because it was already a solid image. It is flipped in my file but it prints out unflipped. ? I have an HP computer. I don't see the flip option either. Thank you
Ok I didn't actually have the styles icon i had to look under Brand Hub so I did upload a font, thank you, but how do I make my view where I can see my whole project instead of sliding it left and right?
When uploading the font from makers gonna learn is the style icon in canva only available in pro canva? I have just the basic canva and I dont have the style icon on the left side.
Thank you for this tutorial, I got it all done BUT, I don't have the file commands at the top of my computer like you do, I don't have any of that and now I can't figure out how to flip once I save it, I'm so lost
Hi I am having trouble once I download and try to print, the image comes out a totally different size even though I sized it in Canva and then sized it in Word or in my printer app. Also, is there an easier way to size an image within your canvas to an exact dimension besides just dragging the square (I find that difficult to get exact dimensions that way). Thank you for your help!
I followed your instructions to the letter. But when I print, it's still printing the same size it was previous and I have to trim a lot off my image. Please help! Where should I be printing from to make sure it's printing the size I put into Canva? 😢
Im trying to look for the Styles icon but i dont see it to find a text I downloaded. Also my project view doesnt look like yours. I have a box that its stuck in so I cant view my whole project. I need to keep sliding it side to side. OMG please tell me what I'm doing wrong. Your video so far has been the only one that made me understand to get me as far as I have gotten. Thank you
Where on earth are you when you go to flip the design? I do not have anything like what you have on my screen. You're in Mac aren't you? What would it be for Windows PC? Up until then the explanation was great.
My sentiments exactly! I tried for a couple of hours before I realized she was on a mac. It took me another hour to actually figure out how to flip and print. If you are using a PC and haven't already figured it out, check comments night of 3/31/23. I will be posting what worked for me. (Being a newbie sucks. I spent about 5 hours to sublimate a mug. Didn't finish until 4am!)
I need help paleeesee 😢 in canva when I enter measurements for my tumbler png - it’s not printing my size 😢😢 it’s coming out later 😢😢 any tips?? Please 🙏 😢
Yes, you can enter your desired image size when you begin. When you create a new project, you’ll change the size from Px to inches and then type in your desired size. So when you save and print, it will print in the correct size. I hope that makes sense.
When you finish your project, just click at the image and there’s an option to edit-crop-flip-etc and when you clic on flip it give you options to vertical or horizontal . 5:05 there is at the white left corner.

Thank you! That was a perfect demo for a beginner with Canva to create sublimation designs!

HELLO, I HAVE CANVA PRO, STILL TRYING TO LEARN HOW TO USE IT. THANKS FOR THIS TUTORIAL.
When uploading the font from makers gonna learn is the style icon in canva only available in pro canva? I have just the basic canva and I dont have the style icon on the left side.

Does Canva have a way to make a rhinestone template?
Hi there i noticed you dont download the png file in the transparent form to sublimate.. isn’t it necessary?
Can I ask what computer you are using
How do you make a mug and change the size.
do you ever do an intermediate course on canva? Is there a way to change colors on a piece of an image you bring into canva?
Hi I am having trouble once I download and try to print, the image comes out a totally different size even though I sized it in Canva and then sized it in Word or in my printer app.

How do you put 2 images together and slice items
This was a great video but you can only upload fonts if you have Canva Pro
could you do for PC users? I dont have MAC so i have to save as pdf? I dont see how to print from canva and I do have the canva pro product.
Can can you change the colour of an image in canva
Can I use images and fonts straight from Canva instead of through MGL?
Can you use Canca on an IPad?
This is a great tutorial. One question. Do we need to flip if not using writing or leave as is???
You dont need to flip if no writing unless you want exactly it shows up like how you are seeing it in front of you now..
I followed your instructions to the letter. But when I print, it's still printing the same size it was previous and I have to trim a lot off my image. Please help! Where should I be printing from to make sure it's printing the size I put into Canva? 😢
So if its uploading as a png does it have a backround?
Im trying to look for the Styles icon but i dont see it to find a text I downloaded. Also my project view doesnt look like yours. I have a box that its stuck in so I cant view my whole project. I need help paleeesee 😢 in canva when I enter measurements for my tumbler png - it’s not printing my size 😢😢 it’s coming out later 😢😢 any tips?? Please 🙏 😢
I bought an etsy pattern and want to use it to make a tumbler, but I have to print it at the right size first is there a way to do that?
Yes, you can enter your desired image size when you begin. When you create a new project, you’ll change the size from Px to inches and then type in your desired size. So when you save and print, it will print in the correct size. I hope that makes sense.
i have to pay for makers gonna learn?
You can learn more about our membership here makersgonnalearn.com/join/.
What if I have an image with a black background but I don’t want to keep the background?
On Canva pro, there’s an option to remove or change background, but need to pay a monthly subscription.
I don't have Apple Mac, so I am stuck with flipping my image
When you finish your project, just click at the image and there’s an option to edit-crop-flip-etc and when you clic on flip it give you options to vertical or horizontal . 5:05 there is at the white left corner.
i pay a montly fee of $12.99 and it doesnt give me the option to print, can you please help
If you are using a PC check comments night of 3/31/23. I figured out how to flip and print and will be posting it.
