Thanks Rob. I really enjoyed making this one. I would have included the hare shots if I got the camera up in time. He slammed the brakes on about a metre in front of me😂👍
Very welcome David, I always love it when you get wildlife experiences like this. For me it's often much more memorable than the images. It can be difficult to bring the audience along especially now I've upgraded to a heavy camera 😂 Guess I will have to get some weight training done👍👌
Brilliant shots and nicely done Scott. Stumbled upon one a few week ago around 30 ft away .. Never budged as i got my shots then plodded away slowly into the tall vegetation , my best encounter yet
I really appreciate your kind words! It’s always a joy to hear about others’ amazing encounters in nature. A bit like us they are all different! There are a pair of kestrels on the fence behind me at the minute and one is fine with me getting pretty close the other flies off as soon as he sees me!!😂👍
Nice explanation of approaching deer. I came across deer several times while exploring the area around my town (5km radius) We got lots of meadows with patches of trees and fallow land with tall grass and reeds. Lately, in the evening, i was scouting around a large patch of trees, and a deer came out of the treeline onto the meadow. I made myself small as possible by sitting on the ground. The deer noticed me, but was also unsure how to deal with me, and after a few minutes it ignored me, probably not see me as a thread. Every encounter is a gift.
Thanks for watching! I have found with most mammals that if you can disguise the human shape you can get them to at least tolerate your presence, always assuming you are down wind of them. Really good to hear that you are making the most of your local area as well, its surprising what most people can walk past without realising whats there! 👍👌
Hi Scott, another top video. I learnt from it in as how to approach the Deer 👍🏽 The first time I encountered Deer they smelt my scent first before I even seen em 😮 and all I seen of em was their white behinds running away 😂 nice images Mate and cheers for the tips 📸
Good stuff Lee, yeah most important is wind direction. I always try to walk on the edges of woodland rides as well rather than down the centre so you can quickly merge with the vegetation on the edges!👌👍Thanks for watching mate!
Brilliant, close encounters with wildlife are always amazing and fun. Thanks Scott, pleasure to watch. All the best. 👍📷😎

Great vid Scott, showing the power of good field craft. Excellent. Ted.
Thanks Ted, often I find the interaction with wildlife is more meaningful than the images. Really had a superb afternoon 👌 😁
Outstanding Scott. I was holding my breath at one point. Such tension. Superb. Thanks.
