@GreatSlayer to see each employee discount e
A other fun fact to further solidify the German inspired super soldat
The word "strum" is also German for "storm"
Frankenstein's Army
@GreatSlayer No I don't, but Heisenberg did.
There is no way that village had that big of a population. The amount of bodies in that factory was literally the size of a medium sized metropolitan city.
Absolutely. Wanted to expand a bit on the possibility of "war time" corpses used for soldats, seeing as how Heisenberg has been around for over a century. He surpassed both world wars! Though there's 0 proof for this, just thematic influences
@@singleplayernacho yeah. They were obviously going for cool imagery more than anything. The 18 molded in RE 7 were directly linked to the 18 missing people kidnapped by the Bakers. But given all of the Lycans and other monsters and the fact that there are literally only 10 houses in the entire village I can't imagine all of those creatures/bodies were from the village.
@@jorgegavino7458 thats so true, there are like 10 houses were are tgey coming from?
@@jorgegavino7458 He probably left the village from time to time to collect more test subjects.
Well it is possible that people came looking for them once the village disappeared, but i doubt that there would be that many people. Especially when nobody came back.
He mentions in one of his files he's doing some graverobbing of freshly buried, and it was hinted he's been around since WW1, so he probably had like 100 years at least to find enough corpses.
4:56 Sturm actually amputated his own arms with the propeller
Yes, there is a note before the sturm fight that says that
Thank you
If they are making money off precious stones, I like to imagine Heisenberg has Buchalter( Accountant). Basically a Soldat dude in a an office somewhere going through the books wearing a green visor thingy.
Why is no one drawing this
or some normal person he hire and place far away enough to not notice the the soldat or an red umbrella accountant.
Love how the rest of the lords, including Miranda, kidnap and kill village people and go through a tonne of them all the time and then there's Donna who has a gardener and that's it. It really sells her character of being the outcast of the lords
Oh and Heisenberg a pyscho.
no thats wrong .... donna herself isn't a gardener, she HAD a family gardener that cared for her after her family died. but when she got the cadou from miranda, she became loyal to her "mother" and started killing people in her house either for cadou experiments, or to "help" them see loved ones again via hallucinogenic flowers that she can control. the latter is how she ended up killing her gardener and turned him into the urias that guards the beneviento treasure. all those "dolls" in her area are actually corpses of her victims (we see this when we return to the altar after defeating her)
donna is just a psycho, worse than heisenberg
@@hellatze Heisenberg is more intelligent and dangerous tho
The fish guy was kind of an outcast as well, I don't think any of them really "belonged" together, they're all pretty unique. The fish guy openly talked about being an outcast and wanting Miranda's love.
Miranda probably knew Heisenberg was plotting against her and had herself a good laugh at his belief that he could kill her. His and Alcina's hatred of each other kept them from working together against her too.
Not to diminish Alcina in any way, but aside from her well-fortified castle and her T. rex-sized manticore form, what would she bring to the table in a fight against Miranda?
@@CthulhuianBunny her daughters maybe?
Hmm initially Miranda might've laughed. But if rose decreased her powers (like she did even after Heisenberg died) Heisenberg would make quick work of her even without Ethan
I always loved Hiesenburg's factory. Probably one of my favorite locations in the game. So glad it was one if the last one too
i liked demitresce house more tbh
@@micklucas1451 I would make a joke about calling you a simp, but I also like Dimitrescu's place as well. Mainly the aesthetic of the place, and not Dimitrescu herself, nor her daughters. I mean, it is a hella sweet castle after all, how often do you get to fight in a castle
@@brucehc4975 yeah and i really liked all the puzzles in the castle, the history in it and being able explore while also being scared
@@micklucas1451 it somehow manages to perfectly balance both horror, class, old history, and the feeling of dread you get when you know a 10ft giant lady with knife hands or one of her big daughters could pop in at any moment to ruin your fun
It was a whole game in itself lmao they had to do it last
I gotta give Karl Heisenberg major credit, he created one of the best B.O.W.s in Resident Evil history, the Soldat are mutant human robotic hybrids that come in many different forms, they are deadly and really hard to kill, they are one best enemies I've ever had to fight in Village and I enjoyed taking them out, thank's SinglePlayerNacho for bringing out the Soldat ✌️
Seriously, the jet pack soldat alone could kill every basic t zombie in Raccoon City, maybe even the parasite head zombies. All of them together could reasonably take all Raccoon BOWs, though the range and stealth of lickers may make them a problem. Not counting the various boss monsters of course.
@@dakoy03 mainly the flesh pound and the scrake
Also very possible they took inspiration from Clive Barkers Jericho, crazy flesh amalgamations in that game.
@@zehkiel8018 definitely the Ne-a's I mean the parasite ones are just as easy
I really love how these enemies from heisenberg were based on Frankensteins army
Yup
Hell yes! LOVE that movie!
Don’t forget when we finally meet the lords the village has been brought to its knees by Miranda, giving the Lycan licence to kill indiscriminately. Heisenberg likely just capitalised on the murder for his Frankenstein army. That’s why we see such a ramping up of Soldat production.
It’s likely a game oversight with population concepts, or Heisenberg simply took from other local populations away from the area.
@@ir2264 Law of Conservation of Detail, aka that same thing where in an RPG you explore what's supposed to be a huge, prosperous kingdom but there's a castle and a couple villages with a total of maybe two hundred people. The reason is that putting more into the game takes time and budget that isn't worth the effort because that detailing doesn't add anything. Thus the focus on details that do matter while excising (or compressing out, if you will) of details that don't matter. In this case they could have made the village larger or gone with a cluster of villages all under Miranda's rule but neither option fitted the design the developers wanted to go with.
Or you can go with the MST3K mantra.
"soldat" means soldier in Romanian as well. (Romania is the country where the action takes place)
In german Soldat also means soldier
@@hre8967 an in the shitload of other countries.
Yes but since Heisenberg is German and his character got inspired by Frankenstein it is obvious that the term "Soldat" is meant to be german like all the other names of his creations.
Like spanish Soldatos
The issue that I have with this take on Heisenberg is when your evidence for Heisenberg setting up death traps to intentionally kill villagers is the maze that he puts Ethan through. It's obvious from the outset of that whole portion that the 'death trap' was made for Ethan to survive it. Convenient niches in the areas to hide in, places where there were no blades on the big roller thing, other stuff that just makes it seem like the whole thing was set up as a show. In fact, the only reason any of the other Lords and Miranda find out that Ethan's still alive is that Lady Dimitrescu literally finds him in her house killing her daughters, as evidenced by the phone conversation with Miranda. There were a ton of ways to meet your doom in that village, but given that Heisenberg seemed both reclusive enough to not want to deal with the villagers and seemed to have focused his entire scope of work on the bodies of those that met their end as a result of accidents or the other Lords, you can make the argument that his experiments were creepy and horrifying but he's nowhere near the level of monstrous as say Lady Dimitrescu, who drained her maids dry to make wine, Donna with her whole creepy house that according the Duke 'her playmates never came out of', or Moreau, who actively conducted cadou experiments on living villagers.
really, the only reasonable comment. The entire video is a complete lie from start to finish. The author is trying to build theories, but at the same time he did not even get acquainted with the game notes and does not know that Sturm cut off his own hands. What an amazing study of the material! And, not a word about the cadou reactors, although they were Heisenberg's main invention to improve the maneuverability of soldiers.
Though he may not be as evil, he could've easily killed Ethan. He is easily the strongest and most dangerous of the lords with his intelligence and magnetic powers. Someone who you would not want to be on the bad side of.
4:56 remember that soldat have amputated arms because he cutted em himself with the chainsaws. in a Note about the experiment it said "a disaster, he even cut his own arms, can't control it"
I honestly think that he managed to create his army or most of it probably during the time when Miranda was experimenting with Mold to create Eveline, taking into account that the whole experiment lasted for some time he would have some time to act, maybe even to attract people to the village to kill them, given that when we first meet it already seems to have the plan in mind for us until he realize that we are not the a villager
It’s definitely possible. We’re talking near 100 years of body snatching D:
@@singleplayernacho Yes, judging from how Miranda's crew works, genetic cloning is the last thing they will resort to on finding test subjects, they'd rather kidnap and fool people rather than make one.
Maybe he bought the extra bodies from the Duke. He's known to do business with the lords, deals in gemstones, and has some pretty shady inventory.
The soldats are one of my favorite enemies in the re franchise now. They are really creepy and challenging to go against.
4:57The amputated arm on the propeller soldat was because the propellor cut it off, it was in a document
I thought heisenberg was graverobbing most of the bodies used for soldats
That's what I thought to grave robbing and finding dead villagers and turned them into soldats or the robotic soldiers that sounds like a more solid theory
Damn this could be straight out of The Outlast Trials.
True. Also the closest thing to a game version of Frankenstein's Army.
"I can't think of anyone more innocent than someone who works with hay"
Don't be fooled by their innocent demeanor, there's a reason the phrase "Roll in the hay" exists LOL
The two enemies in RE8 that made me extremely terrified. Lady D, and the soldats, the only difference between them is that there wasn't more then 1 Lady D
Hope you feel better after your dental procedure.
Though a boss in a game that chases the player around and pulls out the player's teeth in each encounter would be awesome and more scary than an insta-death. That kind of enemy would fit well in Outlast
Just a bit sore atm. Thank you! I’d like to see an outlast game set in an abandoned military bunker o-o
So glad to see RE8 stuff still being discussed! Enjoyed this game thoroughly
thank you for making me appreciate this game's lore and world building more and more with every video
keep up the great content and also looking forward to videos potentially breaking down DLCs as well
Literally kept refreshing for this to pop up lmao.
Litterally kept refreshing my rum and coke for me to be topped up lmao

The Plural of Soldat is Soldaten. Not Soldats.
Damn. That sounds 10000x better that Soldats
You had me at "ripped stable boys" 😏
Kind of remind me of the Strogg from Quake series. The faces the soldats have are nightmare inducing.
Heisenberg is one of the most iconic, and fascinating enemys in RE 8. His completely obsession with machines, as we see, old styled ones mostly, paired with that lost mind of his. Yet, their us some (twisted) logic in his work, as an engineer. He wants things to be perfect in a way, so he searches for the best fitting matetial, both in the mechenical, aswell in the biological components. And what could be better, as men that are not only have the best physical condition, but also did worked like a gearwheel, in a system? Because that's what he saw in the bodys he used, biological gearwheels, screws etc. Material used, for his upcoming rebellion. And seeing how strong Miranda is, he needs all the power, he can get.
As for the why are there so many soldats? Well, seeing how patched up many of them are, maybe Heisenberg still used corpses as basic material, but for the _fine machinery/components_ so to say, he used parts of living being. Like parts of still living brains (combined with machines), planted in a body, made out of corpses. And maybe he only uses the brain mass as a sort of conductor, so he can chop a brain up, and uses many small parts.
Another theory could be, that he uses only a view soldats, with still intact brains, as a sort of antenna to link his mold strengthened thoughts through them, towards the ones that have little to no brains. After all, thoughts are also electromagnetic impulses, and Heisenberg can controll them in a way.
Heisenberg probably is a Wehrmarcht soldier/engineer with a past connection to WW2. Maybe thats how he got so many bodies. Just his attire alone looks very militaristic.
I am so mad I didn’t see this yesterday! Love you nacho, your videos are amazing
Amazing video, I love when you go into stuff like this :)
You have made me want to do another play through. Even after the plat. I absolutely love this game
@4:55 the Soldat corpse gets more buff and I thought it was jumping out of the screen at my face.
Great video I’m still rewatching two years later
I have to say I would watch your videos on repeat while in college. I love the lore dealing w different characters and their backstories! May I suggest you do the lore of Mother Miranda and/or Salvatore Moreau if you haven’t posted one already? Please and Thank You! Keep up the lovely content💙
You're too kind. Thank you! I'll look into Miranda and Moreau :)
3:51 Hello nightmare.
Note the contracted muscles of the soldats, they're in extreme decomposition internally, and heavy rigor-mortis. this means lots of them have been dead a long time.
Love your vids man, you never disappoint!!! Keep it up! 😁💯
Thank you sir! :D
Holy crap, good stuff again👍
ah I've been binge watching your videos and it made me wanna replay outlast, now im tempted to play resident evil village lmao
Ended up finishing the game again after this vid hehe :)
Yas! Thank you for more RE Village Lore!
Love the video.. Hope you're feeling better
I like the war corpse theory, it makes sense, Soldat is also is a translation in French, and Danish
subbed to you a year ago for your video game enemy lore, love your vids man
Thanks man, much appreciated :)
I didn't realize Heisenberg is a reference to Frankenstein.
when I saw the initial Soldat's in game I kept thinking of those steam punk creations from the Wild, Wild West movie.
Great video. Also there's a note that says Sturm amputated his own arms by accident
Looks like Frankensteins Army, Operation Over Lord or Wolfenstein !
I don't know why but these things instantly reminded me of that really creepy guy from the first Hellboy movie. The one who had sand in his body and gears keeping him alive.
His name was Rasputin.
@@rjharris1960 it was Kroenen
@@hairlineparadox704 You're right.
Due to Hisenburg being immortal and the village being in Romania the Soldats could possibly be second World War soldiers. Which if that's the case Hisenburg is using the bad for a good reason
It makes you wonder what the village was like before Miranda set everything into motion.
its funny that the soldats if you look at them they excelly look like the monsters from Frankenstein's Army no wonder this got sued specially sturn
was it not implied that Heisenberg was Spencer's son that was conceived from his time spent in the village?? And there is a tank in pieces outside Heisenberg factory so the soldats might be actual soldiers from a war
These things remind me of big daddies in bioshock, I mean they both have a slug like parasite in them
It's a sad and tragic what happened to them people. I hope you feel better soon.
You should do a video on the Kendos from re2, the kendo cut.
Soldat is the word for soldier in Romanian. It makes sense that they are named in romanian as the village is placed in Romania. Also Cadou means gift or present in Romanian
This is awesome, good info
Soldats are terrifying.
Good to hear from you buddy, those soldat eyes man... Painful
I love the factory section.
Heisenberg didn’t use living subjects he used grave robbery bodies and hated the idea of human experimentation that he was a victim of and resent Marinda for it so refused to become her.
Helicopter dude cut off his own arms hisenburg even said so in his note about it
The basic soldats remind me of the doctor from dead by daylight and the prisoners from silent hill downpour
well I mean, takes a lot of blood to feed the Dimitrescus
This is nightmare fuel, mixed with saddening lore.
I would love a DLC where you play as a soldat and get fresh bodies for Heisenberg to make more but slowly you retain your humanity
Is that the Resident Evil 5 menu theme I hear in the background?
To be honest, I didn't feel a scare factor. Fighting them was relatively easy, they felt really flawed. Almost like a terminator esk & robo cop feel.
Knowing they were made, or at least somewhat altered. Gives a sad picture, of what hisenburg was willing to do. He would stop at nothing, to gain ultimate power. But, he would make you believe that he wanted to kill Miranda
Soldat means soldier in romanian, also the currency in village lei,is the currency in romania, dimitrescu is a very romanian name, and cadou means gift in romanian
Reminds me of Karl Ruprect Kroenen from Hellboy.
Imagine if Heisenberg and Wesker worked together to rule the world
That would make an interesting crossover/team up
every time i hear soldat i get PTSD from the B02 panzer soldat
I really like ur voice its so calm
German eficiency combined with a twisted form of performance art. You knew this would come one day or another. Maybe Karl can sell his boys to Chinese factories as cheap workers?
the fart noise got me for some reason XD
So in theory, if arrested, Lady Dimitrescu would be charged with murder but Heisenberg will only be charged with insulting corpses?
3:45 no the were the only ones where their condition remained *stable* :>
Y'all gotta watch the short of VHS 97. It's basically the factory and heaignberg in short form.
The true horror of this game is not what is screaming to us ,,this is scary'', but all these non-told things we see in the game. How soldats are made, what they look like, what and actually why is happening to Dimitrescu's servants. Everyone is making good guys out of our beloved lords, but the truth is, they are evil. Heisenberg transfering bodies, but soon still alive people into his machines, Dimitrescu murdering her servants for blood, like she couldn't get better solution for them to make them donate their blood; but torturing them for fun or experimenting on them to turn into wicked monsters? This. Game. Is. Creepy
Ive played re village 3 times but I can never fully explore the factory because the soldats are so scary 😓
It will be a sight for Lycans vs Soldats
Heisenberg is one of my favorite characters in the entire Resi Frenchies
It says in a game file that he does a lot of gracerobbing
Once the re8 dlc comes out singleplayernacho will have more resident evil 8 content to make
Yes renamon! Waiting for some ada action :D
These r my fav monsters from the game!
Tbh this part of the game scared me like how the regenerators scared me in re4
0.03 it’s Kroenen from Hellboy 1!
The helikopter face cut off his own arms by himself.
Lmaoo you got a like from me just because that trap joke
Karl Heisenberg as Victor Frankenstein I see not bad!
Damn… who else forgot about resident evil village since the last playthrough
Heisenberg??
I am the danger!! I'm the one who knocks!!
He’s the Resident Evil equivalent of Orochimaru.
Yess! I love thar you're making theory and lore videos on village now like you did with resident evil 4
Are you going to work a back story of the blight in dead by daylight
Sturm cut his own arms off, unfair to go and say he was an amputee.
6:40 Are they really moroaica? I thought they were haulers. I think moroaica are the women wandering around the Dimitrescu castle dungeons.
They are haulers. This channel is pretty inaccurate in a lot of info tbh
