20:00 Joseph is like I'm trying to choose my words carefully...
Nick: "RAIL!!" 💀🎉
Listening to yall try and talk around the word “rail” is the highlight of my day
Choose your words wisely!! 😅
They fell in love in a hopeless plaaAAAaaace!
joseph is like why did i need to know that about johan lmao 22:22
oh yall got me ready to watch this! I have the tickets in my cart.
Thanks!
Thank you!
I have yet to watch the movie, but the book is one of my favourites. I really wish there was an English tranlation, because a majority of the critique I have seen about the movie, are comletely different in the book.
What I really love about the book is such a deep analysis into Johan's feelings and thoughts as well as his relatioship with Adonis, he really is deeply empathetic in it. As I said, idk about the movie (yet) but the book focuses a LOT on Adonis, as well as Williams situation with his transition in perspective of the danish system in 2014 (when the book takes place).
Goodness, I'm so glad to watch and listen to this review today.
This administration has been a full on nightmare, and today was one of the worst days so far. I LOVE coming to listen to your thoughtful, queer community-driven take on this film. Y'all are the best! Giving other queer people such as myself a space to watch insightful film reviews that often center queer narratives and perspectives. We need that SO much right now. Thanks for that.
I think I need to watch this movie for the sling scene alone. Not enough movies include a nice sling shot.
*Holding space?* is the second time am hearing this, and Nick made more sense out of it in a full sentence ☺Well, this story, reads like a story about an introvert. I mean, any relationship needs communication, and support I guess - 😊Good that it made you two want more depth to it 😉
This reminds me of a story I almost made into a play or screenplay, except the cis guy wasn't a thief he was an alcoholic, and of course it'd be set in Australia not Denmark.
What level of wild do you need to be to get banned from a Queer Scandi sauna, lol?? That's a whole other level
It sucks that this story sounds so basic but as a trans man Im so excited to hear that there's a movie that is entirely about being trans masc, and being gay. That is really cool to me 🤍 Like when you said testosterone gel, I was taken aback, like wow someone actually put t gel in a movie?? Wild ❤️❤️
This sounds like the sexual evolution of the main characters as they go through their trials and tribulations 💫
Looks like chicken is on the menu
sending help now, (former mrs.) nick! post haste!!
ps. joseph- big city gay?
Looking forward to watching this movie despite the lukewarm review. I really enjoyed that movie Mutt which this is maybe similar too? I’ve watched your review of Mutt like a dozen times
Damn the protagonist is supposed to have problems but this Yohan was the cause of all of his own in this film. It would be hard for me to root for him. Love the Glen Powell shirt Joseph. And yes Nick, the word rail would fit that sling scene. Lol
Is this movie in English or Danish? I realize many Danish films are in English since it is also an official language of Denmark. This is a film I want to see. Not only because of the gay/trans storyline but also because it is a Danish film. My Dad was half Danish after all.
Yikes, that dude needs therapy.
Yay not too many trans men on film so this is nice to see
That's a lot of steps for a straight romcom.
Johann definitely in jail.
