Marcy's journal was definitely worth the read from start to finish. It provided information about what Marcy was up to behind the scenes, much of her thought process, character insight on both Anne and Sasha, Anne's thought process throughout season 3 when she was writing in the journal, as well as a glimpse into what happened after frogvasion and the 10 year timeskip. Jo even provides the possibility of the calamity trio returning to Amphibia. It is definitely a way to wrap up Amphibia for the fans, and it even leaves the story open-ended. I love Marcy's journal, Marcy's character development, and Marcy's relationships! ❤💖💙💚
I COMPLETELY AGREE! I love how this book adds more to Anne and Marcy as characters and even Sasha who didn’t get a entry I this book. Not only we saw a cool adventure the Marcy had before seeing Anne it gives Marcy more character and a chance to know her better! It felt like I was watching Amphibia again but though the pov of Marcy and it felt great to see her grow and accept change. I love Amphibia and I miss it so much but I’m happy I was able to see it though to the end!!!

It's a shame that the Amphibia wikia and the series finales said that Marcy moved to Hopkinton, Massachusetts with her parents. But I seemed to have written a comment on another UA-cam video of an alternate ending for Marcy. It states like this: After Marcy returns home after running away and being missing in Amphibia for five months, she tells her parents with teary eyes that she's never ready to say goodbye to her friends if they did move. For if they did, Marcy would be heartbroken forever and the trio would have to break apart. And after hearing their daughter's tearful words, her parents understand everything Marcy said, and they feel so bad about what could change in her and think that the move was a bad idea. So Marcy's dad calls the boss from his new job and tells him that he won't accept the job because of what's important in Marcy's life would be gone forever. After turning his boss down, Marcy is glad that she won't be moving out of Los Angeles after all. But realising that her dad accidentally sold their house as Marcy remained missing, it was too late to buy the house back, leaving the Wu family with no place to live. That's when Marcy notices another brand-new house located next door to the Boonchuy residence (Anne's house). If they lived there, Marcy and Anne can be together every day not only as great friends, but great neighbours, too. Not knowing wheter if Marcy's idea of living next door to the Boonchuys would save their family, Marcy's parents decide to giving looking inside the house Marcy saw a try. So the next day while Marcy is back at school with Anne and Sasha, Marcy's parents checked out the house she described. With a real estate agent giving an inspection of the house, the house can have a home office so Marcy's dad can work at his job close to home, a swimming pool in the backyard and a barbecue area for cooking dinners on a sunny evening, and upstairs, a bigger bedroom for Marcy with a window that overlooks Anne's bedroom and her backyard, so Marcy could see Anne through her window every day. When Marcy returns home from school, her parents bring exciting news - they bought the new house next to the Boonchuy place! That excites Marcy so much it makes her cry tears of joy and happiness. Now Marcy is really happy that she doesn't have to move far away from California anymore and that she finally has a new place to call home. Finally, on the day the Wu family move to their new forever home, Anne is so glad that Marcy is going to be her new neighbour from now on that she'll be living next door to her.And even the Boonchuy parents are really excited that the Wu parents finally found a new place to live, gladly one that doesn't resolve in three best friends going their separate ways. And in the end, Marcy doesn't worry about moving far apart from her friends anymore. She knows that the best way is to tell her parents about what's was going on inside of her, and knows that they'll always be right beside her to put things right. Because not only does Marcy have Anne as a best friend along with Sasha, but now she has the best neighbour ever. THE END. Hope you like what I've written here. Maybe you should make changes like these in that book.

I love how the journal acknowledges that Marcy was never 100 percent confident in her choice. She struggled and had moments where she wondered if she was really doing the right thing. I also love that it clarified several less focused on points in the show, like how painful it was for Marcy to see Anne go in the aquarium episode and how much that contributed to her final choice, her needing therapy after the journey, and even how Anne and Marcy first met. I won’t lie. I was tearing up reading some of the entries.
I feel like amphibia is like a show that has some great characters and the atmosphere is so engaging and enjoyable. This show means a lot to me as it would be to other fans of the show. I moved away from my home town and I had to leave friends and family in 2019 and I found amphibia on a tv spot of the show and I was intrigued by it. I vividly remember watching every episode when it premiered except for one due to something I can’t remember. The last episode was a great end to the show and the same day a pet dog of 16 years was put down due to cancerous tumors. After that I went home and watched the final episode. I feel like this book is something to get for any fan of the show.

My favorite part of the journal is where Anne describes Sasha. The words she uses are very telling. In fact, Marcy's Sasha description is also pretty telling. But Anne's is just... Hilariously gay.
The end of the book makes me believe it’s setting up an amphibia continuation maybe a movie or literature continuation a epilogue series like Steven universe future seems unlikely
Only thing I wish was a more insight from Sasha herself. I liked that Anne got a section but we already watched the entire show through her perspective and knew a lot of implications that were later revealed in the book. We don’t really get to see Sasha’s inner thoughts on them

I love this video! It is my fav show of all time and I believe it is the best show of all time! The journal is so perfect and added onto the show making it even better for me (somehow). I would love a Sasha or Anne journal, or have Anne's journal with Sasha adding her thoughts in after turning point or during, but I love Marcy's journal!! It may make Marcy my fav character. So many parts of the book was great (like finally show Sasha and Marcy's parents design, and how Anne met Marcy.) But what I love most is detailing after the epilogue, and giving us subtle hope at the girls returning to Amphibia for one more adventure (at the very least, I want to see Sasha make up with Percy & Braddock. That had to have bothered her for years.)
Of course wouldn't. Be a gravity falls clone without a journal and enough mystery burried within the show itself that obsessive nuttjobs who have no life die before unravelling them all!

Im late but oh well, that ending tease is so interesting to me. But 1st point. Amphibia is strong enough to stand on its own as a cartoon and I love it. It has a set beginning and an end. i definitely disagree about the impact of the ending with the biggest reason being the last words anne says. the girls drifted apart and came back, thats the beauty of the ending. things change, and leave, but sometimes no matter how long, thing can come back to you and it doesnt negate the growth they had
Honestly if we will get new content I doubt it will be the return to amphibia. I think that the Terri call it's more a starting point for fan-comic. What I would really like it's Sprig&co in the new continent as a graphic novel! Idk why but it feels so perfect as a graphic novel story
While not explicitly shown in the series, it’s revealed in the book that Marcy slipped it in Anne’s backpack during the battle against King Andrias at the end of True Colors. Anne and the Plantars discover it shortly after they arrive on earth, but this event is also exclusively referenced in the journal. We do however see Anne use the journal at the end of season 3 episode 4B, Temple Frogs, to translate the hidden message on the vase they found in the museum :)

To be fair, it wouldn’t have really made sense in-universe for sasha to have written in Marcy’s journal.
I'm currently translating all the Newtwardian (?) language sections in it (and the map) with Marcy's key in the book.
