According to belief, the sanctum sanctorum of the Jagannath temple houses the idols of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra, which are changed every 12 years. When the idols of the temple are changed, then the Brahma substance is taken out from the idols and applied to the new idols. Brahma substance is considered to be the heart of Shri Krishna.

In Kalyug, Odisha is the place where the real incident of Kalki Avatar will happen in between Cuttack & Khurda district. Sri Jagannath is Sri Krishna part 2. The commitment which Sri Krishna couldn't complete in his 125 years of life, is being completed in this yug by Sri Jagannath. The commitment given to his mother Yoshoda to drink Makhan has been completed by Sri Jagannath during Kanchi Abhiyan at Manik Patna village of Puri district. No 2: The commitment given to Radha Rani & 12,000 Gopis is being completed through Rathyatra, the Daita Pati Sevaks of Sri Jagannath are the re birth of Gopis in this Yug. They take Sri Jagannath to Gundicha temple with brother Balabhadra & sister Subhadra but not with wife Laxmi Mata, because in 7 days stay there will be GUPTA LEELA with Radha Rani in Gundicha temple. Sri Radha Rani has been migrated from Uttar Pradesh to Odisha & is placed in SAKSHI GOPAL temple which is nearly 25 KMs from Gundicha temple. In the fear of Laxmi Mata, Sri Jagannath has placed Radha Rani in a distant place. Radha Rani is not available in Uttar Pradesh in this Yug, but has shifted her address to Odisha in SAKSHI GOPAL temple , in a request of Sri Krishna. Sri Jagannath will take Kalki Avatar & will destroy the evils of this earth in this Avatar. After the war Kalki will marry Baishno devi Mata who is currently under ground in Tri kuta mountain. Like Ahalya Udhar by Sri Rama Chandra, Kalki will do Baishno Mata Udhar in Kalyug. But the king will be Balabhadra in Kalyug, not Jagannath. The Shiva Linga at UAE will also be purified by Kalki. The main area of war will be in Odisha, that is the reason lord Jagannath is here. Russia will come to carry Jagannath to their country. They will manage to wrap Jagannath on a Train Engine, but Jagannath will show his power by stopping it in between on the track. It will be shopped in BAIRI STATION of Jajpur district of Odisha & the deities will be taken to a shiv temple nearby where salt was not being used till that date since its inception in the Prasad of the lord. That day for the first time Salt will be used in the Prasad of the lord. Then all the three deities will be worshiped at Chatia Math. Jai Jagannath.
