- This is a review of the Masters of the Universe Masterverse New Eternia Thunder Punch He-man figures that is part of the wave 13 Masterverse series and made by Mattel Toys.
I also show some parts swapping between some other Masterverse, Classics and Origins He-man figures.

Thanks for checking out the review and sharing your thoughts and opinions on this figure. Yeah, everyone has their own personal taste on the perfect He-man face or head. I always prefer something between the vintage inspired head or the Classics He-man head. But im also open with different style heads on different He-man bodies such as this Masterverse one. However, there are plenty of different He-man heads you can put on this figure now. As you mentioned, you'll probably do with this Thunder Punch He-man! 👍

@@Themanchlid WOW, I had NO idea that it took you that long! God-willing, I'll be 51 in July and it's nice to know that there are people out there around my age that have the same hobby; collecting action figures that they love! The gentleman that plays Carter on The Bold and The Beautiful collects McFarlane action figures as well and has a UA-cam channel also. It feels great to know that I'm not alone in my love for the nostalgia!
@@jrewing73 Yeah I'll be 50 in july! I love this stuff. The nastalgia is an awesome feeling collecting these Masters of the Universe figures. The reviews take so much time to put together. I do it over a period of a few day sometimes! I appreciate that enjoy the content and most of the Motu brand like myself and so many other people like us!👍

Yeah they are really getting or at least adding many new options, Features and accessories that look good on these figures or can be added to other figures such as the different He-man heads and armor pieces for example on other He-man figures. Thanks for checking out the review 👍
Love the New He-Man sculpt for his body( Battle Armor body) while not a home run.. I still need him.

Yeah I try to think of the most interesting setups with parts that might be interesting to swap around depending on the figure. I had other ideas and parts as well. But I want to keep the video time down if I can! 👌
I wasn’t so sure about that head sculpt at first, but seeing it in hand more, it’s starting to grow on me. I know we all thought the New Eternia Faker head looked perfect and would have made a great He-Man head, but something still feels a bit “off”’about it. I think it’s the way the eyes are painted. Also, I don’t expect the Masterverse version to have any of the action features from either the vintage or Origins, but it feels like the fake cap is just sort of unnecessary. I would have preferred the vac-metal shield, but it is what it is. Maybe they just wanted to differentiate between Masterverse and Origins.
Overall, a decent figure! I’ve always had an affinity for Thunder Punch He-Man as he was my replacement for Battle Armor He-Man back in the day!

I think the head sculpt looks good on this He-man or just in general. I was wondering when they would use that New Eternia Faker head for a new He-man. I also heard other people say it's a decent head but something with the eyes painted. I guess I can also see it a little bit the more I look at it. I really wish the Shield was Vac Metal, and he had a translucent sword. But I guess the New Eternia Masterverse line is doing different things with some of the iconic characters. Overall, I'm glad to see a new Thunder Punch He-man now. He was also a favorite as a kid to me👍

I'm glad that head turned out so much better than the promotional images. I've got enough accessories lying around now that this guy could be my definitive He-man.

Sykes' shield with the fire effects does resemble the ring. Just too small to wrap around the body though. Still looks cool as a special effect. Not only an airbender but firebender too. 😊
Yeah it kind of reminds me of that too. I don't think it's doing anything special on the back with the effects. I rather keep just the shield on the back and the fire effects on the arms!👍
The blue masterverse Fakor is my favorite figure so far. As a kid, I didn’t even care about it. Thanks for the video.

I also have fond memories of getting a vintage thunderpunch as a kid. This masterverse figures head is way different in person then in the promos for sure looks better in person great figure all together
Oh yeah! Those Masters of the Universe vintage toys like Thunder Punch He-man has such good memories for many of us! These new figures are adding something new but yet have a sense of nastalgia. The head sculpt really looks good up close compared to the box images. Thanks for watching as always 👍
They gave him Revolution boots. All the New Eternia figures have been given the traditional boots where you can see the shape of the foot more as opposed to the square toe boots

I appreciate how they're using the Revolution upper torso now for He-Man figures, but I really wanna see one that uses the Skelegod/Snout Spout buck
Thanks for watching the review! Yeah I'm also happy to see that newer style buck on these He-man figures now! The Snout Spout and Skelagod are basically the 40th Anniversary buck from I can see, or close to it. A lot of people didn't like that chest on He-man. Maybe that Feedback got back to Mattel after the 40th He-man came around and they didn't want to use it on another He-man figure.
Thunder Punch from the 80's was my last He-man as a child with the caps lol. Then I moved on with GB and Rambo

Hey Rick! Thanks for stopping by man! I think I got both Thunder Punch He-man and Dragon Blaster Skeletor at the same time as a kid! I never had Rambo toys, but my friends did! They were awesome! They pulled a lot of that stuff from the shelves too then!

Would love to see you put the Barbarossa customs head on your future he-man figures in video! I have one myself and it really helps me decide my purchases!
I showed that head in a few of my videos on a few different He-man figures. Most people in the comments didn't like the eyes or said it looked too creepy. I actually I have two them. I keep one on my other 40th Anniversary He-man. I think this Thunder Punch He-man head is basically that Faker head but painted different from what I can see. Or close to that sculpt. That's the reasons why I didn't try this time on the figures. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts 👍

They should have given him Leg braces too like he's wearing an a powered exosuit. Probably add rocket boosters on the leg braces so that he can launch himself at the villians to knock them into next week.
Yeah that would have cool! But I guess the Exo Bracers made more sense to add just for the arms to enhance his Thunder Punch abilities from the arms.
BTW brilliant suggestion using the first revelation He-Man for the Battle Armor. It's a cheaper option plus clears out that old stock, and gives you a power sword. I use that body for some of my customs. The new BA he-man looks so good I think I prefer it over the 40th atm..so keeping it in it's vintage look is cool.
Thanks for pointing that out about the battle Armor on the Revalation He-man or my Viking He-man body that I switched parts over from the Revalation He-man because of a better skin color. At first I was just gonna leave the BA on The new Revolution He-man. But I like the newer Cross Armor better and that larger chest. So keeping the Cross Armor on him looks better and putting that Battle Armor and custom head on the other He-man makes him also look better and fakes a larger chest under it.

The new headsculpt looks good, what I think is throwing it off is how the eyes are painted; when you did the side by side with the Faker the eyes on the TP looks like the paint is going outside into the eyelids. Also the hair needs to be a bit more poofy on the sides to complete the "bell" shape of the vintage
Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts on this new TP He-man! I also heard a couple other people mentioned the dark likes around the eyes that makes the face feel off a bit. I guess it will vary Figure to Figure. Honestly I don't even see it until people pointed it out or I looked at the video again. I also use very bright photo lights for filming , That really shows a lot of attention that you can't see when the figures sits on a darker shelf. I guess it's all Mattel of taste to what we prefer with the right He-man head sculpt and paint! You can always customize areas with a little paint.👍
I see a lot of the upcoming masterverse figures have plastic chips like Sy-Klone...I hope Mattel can get QC figured out!
@@pants989 Thanks for checking the review out! Yeah every now and then I'm seeing damage or chips in the plastics with certain Masterverse figures. It's usually in the clear plastics or the female neck areas that seems to be the common QC issues and cracking. Hopefully they will correct these issues with newer releases.
28:46. Reminds me of an arm swap I did on Masterverse Hordak. Switched the plain arm with a laser arm from Classics. If you don't put the arm it at a certain angle and joint bends, the arm just falls out...
Yeah I remember reviewing that figure and seeing how awkward that laser arm angle was with other parts or trying another arm.
Can't wait to add this guy's stuff to my power armor He-Man.

It's ashame you gotta have the arm braces to hold his shield 🛡. But still a way better figure then the Battle Armor He-mans. Didn't care for those. I think I'll grab this one for sure. Sweet review bro.
Thanks for stopping in as always, bro! Yeah, that bracer design to hold the shield can be awkward sometimes. It would have been cool if they had just added a plug-in handle adapter piece to use the shield in hand. That might be a good custom idea to do👍

Hi Mc! The fact that they used new eternia fakers head shows that it cleans up well in normal heman form. Aside from it I think he is one of the best heman figures made from mattel😊
I really think that this thunder punch and the new revalution heman out shines the 40th and mostly all previous released hemans in the masterverse! Although that is my opinon but I am excited to get this one soon.

@@Themanchlid Yeah I honestly believe Mattel listen to its customers and actually values customer feedback when it comes to these items but so far even with the wave before this one you can see how Mattel is making improvements

@@jigsawnora3207 I agree! The Mattel PR team dose listen to the fans and feedback on the Masterverse and Origins lines. They said that in an interview a couple times during product peaks at SDCC. But they don't always have the final say or contol over the Manufacture figures and whats exclusives and retail releases. That's a whole other inside thing with the company and brand thats frustrating to many collectors. But for the most part we are seeing some really cool designs and accessories for MOTU so far this year!👍

Also I'm sorry to hear about your new cyclone figure from masterverse.
I do have him on preorder at bbts... Maybe that is a wide spread qc like ram man was with the head swapped option where visible cracks were on his neck. I discovered me and lots of collectors had this issue but I hope they manage to catch the cracks on cyclones compass chest very soon or someone should report it to Mattel!✨
@@jigsawnora3207 No problem! There is never no pressure to watch my reviews or when. It's good to watch other reviews of the same figure sometimes on other channels you might also like. Maybe they do something I don't and vice versa. I actually have a second Masterverse Sy-klone figure in card and his Radar dome is fine! I did hear of two other complaints of the same cracking issues on thier figures dome also on the outer edges. Hopefully this not gonna be a common issue with Mass production. However he is really a cool looking Masterverse figure to have👍
When I get mine I’ll spray that head with flatcoat. Little too glossy for me. Great review as always man!

I just got this figure the other day and I don't find the head shiny at all...Also the paint is way better than in the promo shots
@@biggreek4022 Congrats on the pick-ups for this figure. My head isn't that shiny either on this figure. My lights make it bright. Its much better looking than the photos👍
I remember a lot people saying that the faker head would be an amazing he man head. I don’t think it translated to he man himself that good. Not feeling the head sculpt.
But I’m loving the rest of the figure! Those arm braces make him look like he really packs a punch. Love the shield and the sword.

That's why I tried a few different ones on this body or this He-man head on other He-man bodies. I like something with the design myself on this body. But I also liked a couple of the other heads I tried on this body as well! All the other accessories including those arm Enhancments looks awesome on this He-man 👌
@@Themanchlid I did like the revolutions he man head. Although it kinda looks a little small on it. But to me, I think it’s the best looking one so far that’s showed up in master verse.
@@TheWandifan I also really like that new Revolution head off that He-man. Yeah certain heads have smaller look. Kind of reminds of the 200x figures that had a tall body with long arm and legs and tiny heads.
That Raymond Toys head looks good on any He-Man body, it seems. 😮
TP He-Man head looks odd on the movie body though, imo. 🤔

You seem to know quite a few companies to get custom parts from. I'm looking for a place that makes custom hands. I would love to get some closed fists from my Cartoon Collection He-Man. Do you know of anywhere I could try? Great video as always!
Thanks for watching as always! I usually just go on eBay or etsy and look up Motu Origins or Masterverse custom heads or hands if that's what you want. The seller I buy the most from on eBay and his own site is Barbarossa Customs. All the heads I ever purchased came from that seller. Just google that name, and the website comes up. Great stuff. But it does take a few weeks to get certain items.

It the same chest they used on the new Revolution He-man. I showed those comparisions in that review with the original Masterverse He-man buck.
What head are you using on the movie he-man body?
@colinsantos9079 That's the Ramen Toys Dolph head that was released in limited preorders a couple of years ago. Sometimes, you can still find them on eBay. But they are very expensive! Thanks for checking out this review 👍
Leech is a short king
He is a little on the smaller side. The drop joints in the legs help him become taller a bit when they are all the way down. Thanks for watching 👍

Face sculpt is good even if on faker fits better. The issue is how they painted the eyes. Anyway good figure. Maybe one of the best he man from revelation line. 40th anniversary also looks strange with those big boobs..
Also hair should have been better...too flat..

Is the body the same as the anniversary edition?
No it's the dame body as the New Battle Armor Revolution He-man as I compared together later in the review.

@@caduhoffmann No there are three different ones now. The 40th Anniversary Torso has only been Used in that 40th Anniversary He-man, Skeletor and the New Eternia Snout Spout.
@@Themanchlid thank you. Im still deciding which Heman Ill buy to fit better with this New Eternia line, these Viking and Battle armor have horrible heads
@@caduhoffmann Getting that perfect He-man head for these He-man bodies is always a personal struggle for many us. Theres many different heads available now between the Masterverse, Customs, Origins and even certain Classics heads that can fit those Masterverse those ball pegs. The challenges are matching the skin tones on the body and what kind of look you want in the head sculpt.
I don't really like to face also am I the only one that noticed that they misspelled Skeletor
Thanks for checking out the review. Everyone has their own idea of what a perfect He-man head should look like on different He-man figures. I noticed the Skeletor spelled wrong later after I posted the video and was looking at the box better.. it's one of those weird things easy to overlook at a glance.
They really need to be using the 40th anniversary he man buck on all these figures. This looks just too small for he man.

No the 40 th anniversary buck has massive boobies . The best one they did is the revolution battle armor heman buck
I hate the 40th buck...This new buck is way better imo
..The 40th has a blown up synthol chest..lmao...the chest is way to big and he has no traps...So he has this huge chest with no traps makes his neck look long.
@@Charmander009 lol. Yeah I have heard comments not liking the chest muscles either on that 40th Anniversary buck. I also think the Revolution buck is a good design for He-man !
@@Charmander009this buck is even better for a classic he-man...The buck has a darker skin tone with a nice dark wash and the belt is orange...
