- Fired by ESPN in 2012 after posting a controversial headline, Rev. Anthony Federico turned to his faith and became a priest, a decision he says made him realize his true mission in life.

I live in the Los Angeles area when I saw the thumbnail as I am scrolling through my UA-cam feed seeing this story and the NBC logo made me double take I could not actually believe what I was seeing and when I watched the video now I am even more stunned and in disbelief. Possibly people are so deceived they are confused and don’t know what to believe anymore since the pope seemingly approved of blessing on same sex unions when he really did not at all. if you read Fiducia Supplicans it confirms the natural law and the faith that was passed down to us from the very beginning.

They both examine archeological sites and discoveries that prove the Bible, and even reference secular sources. (Just don’t convert to 7th day Adventism after watching the documentary) And lastly if you don’t know the gospel and want to be saved search up “abc’s of Salvation Teenmissions” on Google and it should be the first or second result. When you click on it read the whole thing, and do what it says and have faith in Jesus while you are doing it, do not doubt, and if it is hard for you to do what it says, ask Jesus to help you, have faith that he will, and he will. @@philnaegely yes, but the MSM has a bias, especially against these kinds of things. So that's why they are saying this. Most would not have produced this.

Loved this story. I was born and raised Catholic. I did bad things, and ran away from God. I have now found my way back to Him, thanks to Father Mike Schmitz. I have returned to going to church almost everyday, and am learning the Bible.
Religion is egotism at it's finest. Go make right in the actual world, stop focusing on just yourself.

I dont mean to split hairs but it wasn't a mistake. He wrote the article with absolutely no racial motives, It was people who read into what he wrote, they're the ones who made the mistake

I got fired too......from a relationship! That was over 5 years ago since he walked away. I have not one ounce of bitterness in my heart. But I've taken up my own cross and I'm crossing the USA now. I've spent these five years alone and don't know if anyone will marry me,but......I know my life is worth while. And Jesus will never leave me nor forsake me. @drewparry2574 Yes!!! Amen! And I don't have anger towards my X or any hate. God really helped me to walk in forgiveness. Sometimes we have to be the change we want to see in the world. Sort of like the prayer of Saint Francis. Not looking to see if WE are loved, but looking to see how WE can love OTHERS through their brokenness. I don't believe I'm meant to be alone,but until then I can take what I've been through and help encourage other people who are broken. Thank you for the kind and encouraging words.

Maybe try going to Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Mississippi? I wish I could go. I'm all the way up in WA. Fr. Mike O'Connor's homilies are great and his church looks so beautiful over UA-cam.
There's also a Catholic community sprung up around Ave Maria University.
I love Fr. Mike O'Connor and listen to his homilies everyday on since i found him a few months ago on UA-cam. I can feel the Holy Spirit speaking thru him with so much Love. 📿📿✝✝ I pray, by God's Grace i would be able to make it in person to attend Mass at Our Lady of the Gulf. I live in Ontario Canada.

Great story. It could easily have just been a sad story of "cancellation" but instead the guy's in a better place. Sweet.
This story is so beautiful. We live in a shallow world where people think that money, status, looks etc. embody a perfect life. That could not be further from the truth. I had a similar story but I did not follow the call from god, I wished I did.

@Jk-ow8ny I was denied based on a personal belief without given a change to prove otherwise.
@BrigManiaXX9 I feel I have a calling to be a diocesan priest, and I refuse to go to another dioceses because God has put me here and has not convinced me otherwise. Priesthood is a life, NOT a career.
@@CollinforPriesthoodCT I was technically denied by my archdiocese BUT was recommended to try religious orders. I'm having a come and see with the Benedictines soon.

Only question is: If you hadn't been fired from ESPN, would you be a priest? Methinks, that after being labeled a racist, there was no other path to make a living. Come on, you wanted to be a priest at 14, but it took you till being fired at 40 something to "find" your path. Good to see you have time for golf now.

Its clear the further weve fallen away from God the worse things have become.
This much is fact.
It is never good to enter the priesthood just because it's a cushy job with amazing benefits. One should look at the hard lives of traditional priests and know that such is what's required.
Not a cushy job. Diocesan priests work 60 hour weeks (6 day work week). Obviously no overtime pay. Plus salary is low for someone with that much education.
With how priests are viewed by many after the scandals, no one thinks it’s cushy.
