I remember i was staying at a hotel in Philippines, and on the otherside of the hotel wall was a small hut where i saw a few phillipino children playing games, I started speaking to a phillipino girl and she was the sweetest person ever, she told me she only eats one cup of rice a day and she shares a small room with four other siblings, yet she carried the most genuine smile i’ve ever seen, she was happy and so were all her siblings and friends/family she was with. it was so touching and i was glad to make friends with such friendly people. I bought a t-shirt for the girl which i gave her before i left. That was the last i ever saw her, i hope she’s well and her smile and that memory stays with me forever. I love the philippines
Thats a sad truth about our country, too much poverty.. but this is not stopping us from being nice to other people.. some may resort to doing crimes just to make their ends meet.. sorry for that. But their still many Filipinos doing nice even life is tough. ❤🇵🇭
This is how our parents taught us, trying to meet both ends whatever the situation is. Also, to be contented what is available on our table 😄✅ and thank God for the grace we received for that day.
@@raymondcooper512 when in Davao city, you can try to have a short visit in a highland place called barangay Eden-it is the Davao equivalent place to Baguio city. It is just within Davao city and fun to visit during warm daytime coz of its comfortable cool weather all-year round.
Philippine, Iran and Netherland do have one of friendliest people and they are all very warm and genuine. I would like to add Scotland into the list as i do think Scottish are joyful and friendly as well. I am surprised you mentioned Malaysia which makes me proud as i am a Malaysian and i am happy you find my country's people friendly :)

I've had this guy back in the Philippines who helped me and my girlfriend from the strong rain once before and let us in his home. When he sees us having a doubt to go in his house, he let us stay at his porch gave us some new shirts and coffee. We saw a lot of little kids and some Old people living in his house and thought they was his family. When the rain stopped he even offered to drive us back to our resort and so we did since it was an open jeepney transport. Little did we know one of the resort staff who saw us dropped by the guy who helped us was famous in his town by helping whoever people in need around the vicinity and even adopts people who doesn't have home whatever age they were. We go back to his house and wanting to hand out some money to help him and of course he declined it. It was way back 2018 the last time I visited Siargao (Philippines) til then I've been sending at least 5 to 6 thousand pesos to his address anonymously.
I don't know about others but philipino peoples are really friendly and nice...as I have many friends in Philippines...I am from Nepal in South Asia 🇳🇵 Sending much love to the philipino peoples 💙💛

I've been to the Philippines thrice, and the last time I came there, I met this kid in the street of Tondo, he was so happy seeing his other playmates playing. I sat next to him and asked where he lives. He pointed the small, plain, ply wood house. He also mentioned that his mother is in the process of dialysis, but it was not obvious at all, it looks like nothing's happening. He had a simple life in the slums but yet, he smiles. They tend to smile and show people that life must go on even with challenges.
Fr:NYC metro area we have Pakistan ppl here & they R ALL very nice & pleasant & educated. I went to Pakistan a long time ago & they R BEAUTIFUL COOL PPL!! Cool to hang out with ! yeay! My favorite airlines is Pakistan Airways...they R the coolest & most welcoming...
Have travelled on my own to over 50 countries and have lived and studied in 4 of them. I have to agree #1 is Philippines and the Netherlands is # 1 in Europe. Good list.
I worked for a travel company (UK) and we used to do a tour to Iran. We used to get lots of feedback about how friendly the local people were. A place I would add for friendliness would be Uzbekistan, really nice and welcoming country!!

On the opposite end, most unfriendliest countries I’ve been to: 1. Switzerland 2. France 3. South Korea (Very unwelcoming) 4. USA (NYC and Chicago) 5. UK
In the US the South and the West is friendly. Only the Northeast is unfriendly. In France the South is more friendly than the North. UK is friendly outside London.
As a peruvian , I have to recognize that we are overall very friendly people. I have been around , currently living abroad, have traveled to different countries and I can tell the difference. I just something in the way we interact, we actually extend invitations to do social activities and we dont need to plan a lot and carry a planner. We prioritize family and friends, we always have time for them. We dont like isolation. It's similar in other south American counties but I got to say that we are more genuine.

I lived in Malaysia for 7 years, i really love my friends at the University and back in school but not strangers. They are super unfriendly to strangers but once they open up their hearts to you and know you they are the best!.
I'm from Peru, living in Canada and have been twice on the Philippines and going back soon to keep discovering that beautiful country, I can say this is completely true, Pinoys are one of the nicest people on the world! I'm happy those 3 countries made the list.

I've been to dozens of countries and number one in friendliness is the Philippines. I first went there in 1977 with two friends. We were diving in Micronesia and headed for Taiwan to visit another fraternity brother there. Our island hopper flight ended in the PI and the travel agent said we could get off and stay for a month if we wanted to. We agreed to stay in the PI for one night for a quick Manila look-see. Four days later we finally had to tear ourselves away as our fraternity brother in Taipei was expecting us. Our new found Philippian girl friends piled into our taxi to the begging us to not leave them or take them with us and showering us with kisses at the departure gate. I vowed, like, General McArthur, "I shall return". And did for my honeymoon. The first of many vacations there. I'd be there now if it wasn't for the Covid-19 lockdown. You should have added Mexico to the list. I have lived in Mexico for four years now. Mexicans are fabulously friendly. The only road rage I've witnessed here is when drivers get into a heated argument at an intersection insisting that the OTHER driver go first!!
I agree with you re Philippines, Fiji and Malaysia. I found Spain, Vietnam , Lao and New Zealand friendly too. Go to the Orangutans rehabilitation center in Kuching. The people are so welcoming also. I didn't find the Netherlands very friendly.

Ya I'd say Fiji, Costa Rica, Canada, Netherlands, and the Philippines are all in that for sure. I'd also say Uganda, Kenya, and Indonesia are high up there too.
As a Malaysian, I am happy that you liked my country. And yes the fact that Malaysia is being overlooked by other SEA Countries is true. For example U.S.A and Japan. A friend in my school said that when his cousin went to the U.S to study, they don’t know where is Malaysia, they only know where is Singapore.
I am Canadian and my other half is from Tennessee. When we met she had never been to Canada before but after numerous trips, we both agreed that Americans are far more friendly - it was very obvious. I hate to say it but Canadians are very smug and conceited and we tend to look down on Americans. An unfortunate truth...

For you mentioning stuff about Peru and the people. Fun story. I have a best friend of mine who's a biracial Peruvian for having White Irish and Italian heritages from her dad and Peruvian heritage from her mom where me and my Peruvian best friend get along very well.
Costa Rica is just an amazing country. In my opinion, it's underated. It's Beautiful and the people are so kind and fun and genuine. The food is fresh and delicious. It's fairly cheap and has lots of beautiful crafts made by locals. I went there last year when I was in 6th grade and it was incredible.

Almost every filipino I know in the USA is a nurse, a very suiting job, and Filipinos are some of the friendliest people I know
Not to ruin that, but actually, the reason why there are so many filipino nurses in the USA is because they pay much higher than in the Philippines.

I worked for a travel company (UK) and we used to do a tour to Iran. We used to get lots of feedback about how friendly the local people were. A place I would add for friendliness would be Uzbekistan, really nice and welcoming country!!

Koreans are definitely usually shy. Though I do not regard them as unfriendly at all.
In the US the South and the West is friendly. Only the Northeast is unfriendly.
In France the South is more friendly than the North.
UK is friendly outside London.
Swiss people are very polite, but also quite reserved and distanced from my experience.

As a peruvian , I have to recognize that we are overall very friendly people. I have been around , currently living abroad, have traveled to different countries and I can tell the difference. I just something in the way we interact, we actually extend invitations to do social activities and we dont need to plan a lot and carry a planner. We prioritize family and friends, we always have time for them. We dont like isolation. It's similar in other south American counties but I got to say that we are more genuine.

I'm from Peru, living in Canada and have been twice on the Philippines and going back soon to keep discovering that beautiful country, I can say this is completely true, Pinoys are one of the nicest people on the world! I'm happy those 3 countries made the list.
I would love to visit Peru too - Macchu Pichu and the myterious Nazca Lines.
Filipino people are the so friendly they are so positive I love them i used to live in UAE and i knew alot of filipinos they are so great i love them.

I've been to dozens of countries and number one in friendliness is the Philippines. I first went there in 1977 with two friends. We were diving in Micronesia and headed for Taiwan to visit another fraternity brother there. Our island hopper flight ended in the PI and the travel agent said we could get off and stay for a month if we wanted to. We agreed to stay in the PI for one night for a quick Manila look-see. Four days later we finally had to tear ourselves away as our fraternity brother in Taipei was expecting us. Our new found Philippian girl friends piled into our taxi to the begging us to not leave them or take them with us and showering us with kisses at the departure gate. I vowed, like, General McArthur, "I shall return". And did for my honeymoon. The first of many vacations there. I'd be there now if it wasn't for the Covid-19 lockdown.
You should have added Mexico to the list. I have lived in Mexico for four years now. Mexicans are fabulously friendly. The only road rage I've witnessed here is when drivers get into a heated argument at an intersection insisting that the OTHER driver go first!!

I agree with you re Philippines, Fiji and Malaysia. I found Spain, Vietnam , Lao and New Zealand friendly too. Go to the Orangutans rehabilitation center in Kuching. The people are so welcoming also.

As a Malaysian, I am happy that you liked my country. And yes the fact that Malaysia is being overlooked by other SEA Countries is true. For example U.S.A and Japan. A friend in my school said that when his cousin went to the U.S to study, they don’t know where is Malaysia, they only know where is Singapore.

I am Canadian and my other half is from Tennessee. When we met she had never been to Canada before but after numerous trips, we both agreed that Americans are far more friendly - it was very obvious. Costa Rica is just an amazing country. In my opinion, it's underated. It's Beautiful and the people are so kind and fun and genuine. The food is fresh and delicious. It's fairly cheap and has lots of beautiful crafts made by locals. I went there last year when I was in 6th grade and it was incredible.

Pakistan have death penalties for foreginers to drink alcohol as it's haram. We don't have live music , we have force conversion of Christians people into muslims. We have strict Shari'ah laws. How we supposed to be friendliest when no one wants to visit Pakistan because foreginers are scared to get killed
