There is an emotional moment in this fight. If you kill the rider first, the beast will try to wake him up, and feel sad. And then rage at you. Whereas if you kill the beast first, the rider just stabs it and then collects its soul for power up.
Reisum was by far the best world to explore for me, IMO. the scenery, the sound design, the enemy encounters are fair, the bosses and swarm encounters are challenging yet also fun, and the music is great, as always. Whoever made the soundtrack for Remnant doesn't get enough credit for it.
Someone put guitar riffs on a Dark Souls soundtrack, gave the resulting theme to a rat riding another rat, and somehow made one of the coolest bosses in Remnant in the process. Man, this game is bloody great.

If you pay attention you will notice he says "Good girl" after stabbing her then yells at you "I will flay you for this"

If I were to pick my favorite fight in the entire game, it would definitely be these two
My favorite fight in the whole game. And the ost adds that dark souls vibe.
We were thinking with friends who to kill first, the rat or the varg. We ended up killing Brudvaak first. Time for second playthrough.
What song plays right before the rat ambush on the earth farm? I've been looking for it for awhile.
I have to check.
