Love the head, but jeez~ an 84lb 2x12? That's too damn heavy in this day and age. GR Bass has a 2x12 that's 20lbs & it also uses Faital drivers~
Well, according to the manual, it is actually rated for 1100 watts rms, not 1200 at 1 percent thd, they don't state if it's A weighted or not, they also don't specify the frequency at which it was tested "probably 1khz which is unfortunate, especially for a bass amp" and probably wouldn't be 1100 at 30 or 40hz, they should do a real time power test with 4 ohm non inductive dummy load resistors with a 30hz sinewave and see what it really does all they way up just below clipping for 3 hours and really see how overbuilt it is.... I'd want an Amp that can handle that in a room that's 70 to 80 degrees, probably a nice Amp, but if I could design my own, it would be able to do this
That Peavey Cirrus deserves a call-out. Those are fantastic basses.

@@mikesgigtv I heard about that a couple years back and assumed it got cancelled but maybe just pandemic delay. Hopeful but not holding my breath.

This new Trace stuff looks fantastic! But I don’t slap, and I never use a scooped mids tone. Can you also get a good “Meat & Potatoes” Rock tone out of this new Trace setup?

You can can get any tone you need from Trace... IMHO
No matter what the amateur's try to feed you, dont believe it, when Trace sold, it all ended, Peavey can screw up anything and did...again. Kinda like the Monsanto of the amp. industry.
No matter what new stuff they try to pitch. When Trace sold, it all ended, a bygone bass era. never to return and Peavey is not aloud.
I am a full time gigging bass player that has to hall his own gear to four gigs a week, so equipment weight is a big issue. I have been playing with this new Trace Elliot 1200w head for a few months now and have it going through two Elf 2X8s. I am extremely impressed with this rig and I have received numerous compliments on my tone from some really good musicians. The only problem is Trace Elliot does not make covers for their cabinets as far as I know, so you have to have custom covers made. 🤘😎
I used to have some 300 watt combo Trace that had graphic equaliser and I loved the sound of it.
Must be some mistake, There has never been a 300 watt Trace combo...ever.
@@majorseventh2699 Yes there are 300 watt combos, look up Trace Elliot 7215 300W 1 x 15" bass combo.

truth is TE never going back
It's too bad that other popular bass amp manufacturers get so many pros in their pocket. They're not bad by any means, but they are not Trace Elliot... . I always believed that Trace just always raised the bar that much more. If all of those endorsees had spent any real time and research into this brand, i think they would realize just what they've all been looking for and needed for so long. Long live Trace Elliot... hail to the king baby.
