  • Use bookmarks to save your favorite views of the scene to create the flythrough animation. Adjust the timing of the animation with the timeline tools. Watch the visibility video to learn how to animate the flythrough.

Thanks for this useful tutorial. Is time limited (pre described) to 8 second for each frame in time lining? (It seems it is limited and we can not increase it more than 8 seconds to each frame)

Can you delete multiple bookmarks at once? Currently I only seem able to do them one at a time, which is tedious.

Hi 👋 I have a question about your software - it looks amazing and I’m trying to gauge whether or not it’s ultimately for me. Here is the main thing I’d like to learn more about: Is there a video or tutorial somewhere that demonstrates how to use the bookmarked shots on the timeline to create “animated” key frame movements for characters and objects? Meaning, let’s say you have a character standing in a hall. Okay, you bookmark that shot, so that will be shot one. Then you want the camera to dolly in on that character a little, so you pinch zoom the camera view and bookmark that second shot. Great! Now from one bookmarked shot to the next on the timeline, the camera moves in on the character and you can drag that sliders under those bookmarked shots to adjust how slow or how fast the dolly in happens when the play button is hit. Perfect 👍😎 What I cannot yet figure out is how to deal with things if you want the character’s pose to change as the camera dollies in over the course of those two bookmarked shots. In my attempts so far, if I alter the drawing of the character to change the pose, those changes update across all bookmarks, so I guess it’s not as if an active bookmark registers the change while previous bookmarks remember the previous state of a layer’s drawing? If do a new bookmark of the hallway for the zoomed in camera position and then turn off visibility on the character’s pose in order to create an entirely new drawing of the character in a different pose on a new, visible layer, those changes - including the layer visibility changes - register across all bookmarks as well. I know I’m simply not understanding something. Does my question make any sense? Can someone help? Thanks for reading, and sorry for the long message here!

Uhm I have a question... Why is the Microsoft Windows version like waaaaaaaay worse? It doesn't even have an erase tool. Pls answer this question cause I haven't been able to find anything about it. It would be much appreciated if u guys atleast add an erase tool. Other than that I think I'll be fine. But just saying, the iOS version seems better and I'm in no position to just buy an iPad.

The Windows version does not lack any features in comparison to iOS and there is an eraser: typically with Windows pens, the eraser is on the opposite side of the stylus (like a pencil) or it’s a button on the side of the pen. If your pen does not have an eraser you can use the “E” key to toggle between drawing & erasing. You can always email us at support@mentalcanvas.com if you have questions.

@@MentalCanvas thank you! I commented on asnother clip asking about an Erase tool (the newer Microsoft Surface Pens don't have an active 'Erase' on the end, and clicking the side button doesn't work). The 'E' select is what I needed! :)
