I have a cliq foldable at a healthy age of 59. Folded down it’s the same length-a little bit more narrow than a 2 liter plastic bottle. It reclines back with full confidence and has a 300 lb. Weight capacity. When you hold it folded down in your hand you’ll notice that it’s heavier than you expected. There’s your first clue, patiwans. Sheer strength, simplicity maneuverability. It’s not for people who can’t do deep knee bends. If you have trouble doing deep knee bends you’ll probably have to ask for some assistance getting out of the chair.
We bought these chairs to fit in our travato. As you know it’s always a game of Tetris. We sold the travato and now have a Travel trailer and we loved them so much we kept them !!
That's a cool chair. You could also use the L.L. Bean chair as nunchucks in a pinch. LOL. My little grandson was dying laughing at the little legs flailing around while you were disassembling it. I just love y'alls videos.
I can relate to all the old people features of this chair. Having arms on the chair really makes a difference when getting up. Thanks for all your hard work. Happy trails and safe travels.
Thanks for the review on the Pico chair. We ended up buying ours on Amazon and got them for $85 earlier this year. We store one in the overhead cab area and the other we put in the shower/toilet area next to the seat along with the Blackstone griddle. Placing the cover for the chair over the back of it gives extra space for things and helps keep the cool air from coming up your back. We really like ours and the fact that they are so much more compact than our other camping chairs. Thanks again!
Another great review. We like your chairs. We have REI chairs and we like them because they are small and fit in the van. We use them on Flagler Beach and they work great. Thanks for the review!
Thanks for the review of your Pico Chairs…nice…judge still out. Owen, I heard you mention editing on your iPad while sitting in these chairs. I’m curious to know what program you are using and if you use the iPad to edit your UA-cam videos? Also enjoyed the Morro Bay video last night and the nice shots. Safe Travels! Frankie Wilmington NC……
Thank you for the kind words. Right now, for the last 3 years, I have edited each and every video on my iPad Pro 12.9. I currently have the M1 with keyboard. I use the LumaFusion app for the editing. It provides a few advantages over desktop programs but has many limitations too, most of which have workarounds. I have a true love/hate relationship with the app. It is now stable with a pretty decent feature set but slow as molasses in adding additional features to the app. If this journey on UA-cam land continues much longer I will probably switch to MacBook Air M2 and use Davinci Resolve for editing. But it's hard to beat the simplicity of editing on the iPad and it's hard to beat its low power needs and charging requirements. Hope that helps.
Thanks so much, yes this helps. I’m looking something to use on the iPad. Trying to get Minimalist while camping and I have no where the need that you do…..so thinking this would be good to try. Been watching you guys a couple of years and your videos get better and better. Thanks again and be safe!!.
We agree with your review! We bought two of these chairs long before we traveled in a van. We bought them for the comfort. We wanted a chair that sat up straight with support. We love them even more because of how small they are when folded. For the size and comfort, we also recommend these chairs!
So fun to see your review! I noticed your chairs for a while and finally bought one. Took a couple of tries to deploy out of the box, but now I’ve got it down pat. Looking forward to better back support!!!
I have a chair similar to the LL Bean one. Those legs dig into the dirt/grass so I bought four small "tennis" balls, cut a slit and place the legs "feet" in them. Perfect solution and the small balls fit in the bag with the chair. The chair is the perfect size for the Vanderhall.
These look like a great option, but I would never give up my Nemo Stargazer chairs. Because they recline! I don’t need to work at a computer, so that isn’t an issue. They are more expensive, and even worse that the LLBean chairs to pack away, though. Sometimes we just throw them on our the floor between stops when camping. Thanks!
Has anyone had a problem packing this chair up to put away. We bought two and setting up the first one was fine, but darned if we can get it folded back up. The small tube is not sliding into the big one in the final step. We don’t want to take the second chair out!
We also like our Picco chairs and they fit beautifully above the cab in our Van! We were disappointed though to see the rubbers under the feet wear down so quickly! We had hoped that the company would have replacement rubber parts - but no luck!
Owen and Lynn, we really enjoy your videos. Question about the Pico chairs. We are taking Amtrak to Albuquerque to the Balloon Fiesta and at 74, we will definitely need chairs for sitting after we get there. Will these be easy to travel with/pack for our trip?
Well that sounds like fun. They would definitely be great support for the sitting. They fold up a little bigger than a briefcase when in the bags. You could carry one each using the straps. If you have to stow them in the train I'm not sure... they would fit in airline overhead compartment. Hope this helps. Maybe see if you can find one in stock at a Camping World, Dick's or other local sporting store. West Marine stores have them too.
I liked how they folded up, but I didn’t have to have it fold up that small. I actually have a tiny camper and lay my folding Coleman chair flat in kitchen area. It folds long and flat. The thing that made me return it was no low back support which made it uncomfortable for me.
We have have a couple of those and we love them. We take them with us when we travel with the trailer but they are just to big for the van. We like them so much we also use them on our deck.
Owen, if all those connecting strings on the LL Bean chair ever break, you can always make a wind chime out of it. :) Pico looks very nice, and good support should never be underrated - especially if you sit down in a cheap(er) chair and over it goes, with you in it. Thanks for sharing!
We have had to repair the LL Bean chairs a couple of times and that is not a easy chore, but wind chimes is also a great idea. I agree support should not be underrated.
Thanks for your review. I have one, it’s elegant and compact but you pay a price for the compact size; it’s expensive, weighs twice as much as a cheap $20 picnic chair, your shoulder will feel it after carrying it for a while, the seat is narrow so you can’t really slouch. My 2 cents.
I took one on a month long tent camping trip and it was great. Some fellow campers noticed it and ended up ordering one for themselves when they got back. I do want to find something to use as a footstool. Using the picnic table didn’t always work.
Thanks for the great review! We might consider that for our Christmas gift to each other this year. We have the shorter/slouchy chairs right now. Those probably make pretty good porch sitting chairs, too.😊 That’s a pretty porch! Tell Lynn and Maggie we said hey, too, and have a great week!❤️🙏🏻
I guess us “old” people like comfort and are willing to pay a little extra for a quality product. The chair has a lot going for it and worth it especially if storage space is at a premium. I think when my current chair gets wrecked I will look at it, I like how it folds up for storage. 👍🏕🏜

Thanks for sharing all the great information about Cliq chair.
Like the chair not the little blue one. I’d go nuts folding away.
The little blues ones drive us both crazy but we did put up with them for several years just because they were so small.
Thank you for sharing this video with me!! As always BS & BK
You as so welcome and thank you for watching.
Great review!
Thank you, we appreciate you watching.
Love my chair!
We do too. Thanks for watching.
Love our Pico chairs too! My only complaint is that the mosquitos can bite your butt through the mesh😜
O wow, we’ve not encountered that problem with mosquitos.
Great chair but space is never an issue. These do have a small footprint.
Best chair I have ever had. Love it. We travel on a motorcycle so the size is perfect in our pull behind trailer.
We love our chairs too. Thanks for your input.
When folded, will 2 of the Pico chairs fit in a Trasharoo bag on the back of a van?
We love our Pico chairs! I have a grumpy back and this is the only chair that works.
We have grumpy backs too and these chairs have definitely helped.
We bought these chairs to fit in our travato. As you know it’s always a game of Tetris. We sold the travato and now have a Travel trailer and we loved them so much we kept them !!
That’s good to hear, we would probably keep them too if we switched RV’s.
Great review and chair design...Happy Trails🐕
Thanks, we appreciate you watching.
Team Pico for sure! You covered all the important points for those of us over the age of..... ;) Thanks!
Thanks for your comment. Glad you like your Pico chair too.
I appreciate the reviews. Always looking to pick up new tips.
Thank you Sue!
That's a cool chair.

I laughed pretty hard at Owen trying to disassembling the chair, I told him it would have been funny if he through it off the deck.
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle YES!!! LOL. You guys are great!
Another great review, Owen!
Thanks, we appreciate you watching.
Thanks for a great review Owen! Can’t believe how quickly it opens up & also closes quickly! Will have to check them out!
The quick setup is definitely a pro for us.

I hope you like your chair as much as we do.
We do have the Pico chairs and like them, too. One of them had a defect (torn seam) when we got them and the company replaced it without issue.
That’s good to hear, thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the review. The price has always makes me stop and consider if I really want to spend the money on a chair. Safe travels!
I guess we feel it was worth the extra money to have the back support which we seem to need to keep our back in good shape.

Pico is a sweet chair and such a neat space saver for overlanders. Thanks for the recommendation! BTW, which iPad do you have for editing?
Latest iPad Pro M1. Of course just when I get it the M2 will come out soon. 😂❤️
I like the Pico chair. Looks pretty compact and easy to deploy too. Pricey but sometimes you get what you pay for.
We also agree you get what you pay for and sometimes comfort is worth the extra money. Thanks for watching.

One of best features for us is that it is small and compact plus the back support.
Once you get a folding chair that is also a rocking chair, you never go back.
