I think the clue is her contrast is way too high to be a soft flow but she is not quite bright/dark enough to be a winter, she looks amazeballs in the correct shades.
That's exactly what I thought when seeing her pictures. She looks striking in the Cool Summer colors.

This woman is absolutely beautiful! And I sometimes have the same problem - I'm a deep autumn but when I wear true autumn colours, I guess I look "fine" but not as good as when I wear deeper colours.
She is a knockout either way, but she absolutely shines in the cool summer!

As someone who was mistyped as a Dark Autumn and a Soft Autumn in a 12 season system, it wasn't until I explored the 16 season system that I saw that like this client, I am a Dark / Cool Summer. 12 season systems work for some people but for a lot of us they do not. The right colors literally make me look a decade younger. Everyone in my life is shocked seeing comparison photos and seeing me now in real life.

I've been all over the place with my own colors because my eyes are very dark, they look pitch black in photos and almost every website pushed me towards the dark seasons. But those gorgeous rich colors ate me right up every time.
I went to the softer ones, like soft autumn and soft summer but the summer was too cool and gray and the autumn was too muted.
I went to the brights and they were too intense.
I am a light spring. The colors make me look alive and fresh and I have gray hair and very dark eyes. I never would have known it if I didn't keep listening to mu gut that told me to keep searching.
I think every palette is gorgeous and I love it when we find our colors, they make us shine. ✨
As soon as I saw the clarity of her eyes I knew she was NOT a soft summer.
She just looked washed out in the soft summer colours. I thought she might need something warmer but it was actually the intensity and contrast needed to be higher. Goes to show you really need to check all subseasons properly.

The best way to understand whether you are soft or bright is to take photos with soft and bright colors and compare them. I thought I was a true summer but didn't get that sparkle effect and then turn out to be true cool. Maybe someday I will get a professional analysis to confirm my results.
This is helpful. I find when I look at summer vs winter I feel I look harmonious in summer but feel more radiant with a bit more brightness…though can’t quite carry the depth of winter.
I immediately saw that she was more ‘bright’ and contrasting and not very ‘soft.’

There was one recently where the young woman had a black tank top and then the correct color of pecan brown as one of the springs. That client confirmed she had no makeup on in either photo. 🙂
I have very similar colored hair and eyes, but have warm tones skin and for the first time, I wish I could pull off that color!
A few years ago, I was also color analized by someone else, as a Soft Summer, and bought many soft summer clothes and I feel that I look drained with them. I think I am better with the True or Cool Summer colors.

She looks like true summer. I’m a true (cool) summer and have bright eyes and very similar coloring! I thought true Summers can wear the whole summer palette, which includes the soft summer. Edit: I guess I’m learning that true summer is different from
Cool summer, but many put celebs in cool and true summer, so I thought it was the same thing.
Is cool summer the same as deep or sheded summer in the 16 seasons?

I was typed as a bright spring, although sometimes I wonder if I'm a true spring. Light spring colours don't suit me at all.

I heard it’s the same, but some people use cool and some use true.. I am also confused now-because she makes it sound like they are two different categories.
Apparently there’s a 16 season and 12 season color analysis.. it depends on which one you use, this would explain the cool vs True result. In general, though, they are the same thing.
