  • Hello, I am Dillon Smith, and my son, Noble Smith has Autism. April is Autism Awareness Month, so I thought I would upload this video. I made this video over a year ago, and wrote the song two years ago, but only shared it with friends and family, but thought it appropriate to share with the world today to encourage any other parents struggling with nonverbal autism.
I wrote this song two years ago, at the time my son was 3 years old and had never spoken a word. Our hope, prayer and passion was that he would start to speak. Over the last two years we have gone to great lengths to get him the best help we can. We have literally driven across the country and back for therapy and treatments.
today, Noble is 5 years old. He has improved in a lot of ways and has gradually started speaking. We are still on this journey, but it gets better. The purpose of this song is to encourage. Even if you never get words, so much communication happens just through daily love and persistence, and pursuit of your child's improvement.
As we fight for each and every word, we also see that love goes beyond words.
Share this video freely, and keep fighting.
