I've got a '04 Sahara TJ automatic I bought used quite a few years ago. It gets checked over and the oil changed/filter and lube every 5000kms, now it just turned 200,000kms and needs both front fenders replaced due to rust but other than that I wouldn't get rid of this Jeep any time soon.
With these TJ's, you want to upgrade the water pump, thermostat, radiator, install a Thor cowl cai and hood vent. I believe in preventative maintenance. These TJ's are worth going the extra mile!
All MJ's, CJ's, and Wranglers should have had manual transmissions. They are suppose to be utilitarian machines and automatics just don't suite them; that plus the Jeeps I mentioned are all gutless and pretty much need a manual transmission.
I cp0uld never see a Jeep Wrangler with an automatic transmission its just not what it should have or leather upulstory or power stearing for many long for the oldCJ 5 I assume they had to stop making them for they could no longer meat EPA and DOT standards but for those who used themfor off and back road uses didit matter
If you buy one under $10k that’s treated like a piece of shit. these engines are know for being bullet proof and the reason these Jeep’s get a bad rep from people who don’t know anything it is because idiotic people adding suspensions parts to their jeep and not compensating for the geometry change on the jeep could mess things up and they beat the shit out of everything and don’t take car of it
Only if you don't service them at the right intervals just like all vehicles. If you don't take care of them, any vehicle will leave you sitting by the side of the road.
I'm getting my dads 2004 Jeep Wrangler Sport once I get my permit

@@1985_Honda_CRX_Si i got one now
thank you
It would be better if it was 5 speed and had a hard top. But! That's another year model lol Other than that, it's a great car. Im jealous.
I know exactly what your ac problem is and how to fix it with a zip tie but you probably already fixed it
Why is it running so hot?
boatcaptin14 210 is hot?
+Test Drive Blogs Looks like it was past 210... mine is always just below the 210 mark and sits at 210 when its hot and idling for a while
boatcaptin14 It's just right above 210. that's where this jeep has ran since we got it 6 years ago
my 2004 Sahara sets just above 210

meat
Wrangler as a daily driver? Only as a second vehicle. They’re dope but notorious for unreliability
