That music choice with your vario chirping away just doesn't get old. I maidened my very first own 1.5m foamcore DLG a week ago. This monday, I broke the 1 hour mark on a gently sloaped meadow in front of a treeline where the wind created a nice subtle updraft. I'm looking forward getting my hands onto a used CFK model, too. DLG virus got me, I had the whole thing in the back of my mind for a longer time, but over the course of this winter, I went in taking the first real steps into the RC hobby 🤩
Enjoying your content. I'm starting my journey to RC 'urban' gliding in Hamilton. I'm at a very basic skill level in both building but especially flying. Your content shows me what can be done.
Thank you Peter - I really enjoy the DLG flying and it is always a thrill to get a good launch or a decent thermal run - at the moment I am converting an old DLG fuse to take a 'foamy' wing for my son to fly on..
@@bracesport That is super! Nowadays I like to fly with 2ch DLG because its flying weight, but the start height is smaller than the 4ch. I make a V tail for my motor glider, I just want to find a smaller vaquum bag for it. I will post a video from its flight soon.
@@bracesport Thank your help! I manage to setup the vtail on my motorized glider. I like it. I am waiting for the maiden. ;) I wonder how I could turn with them. I hope that I found the proper tail sizes for the glider parameters...
I use a DJI Action 3 on my hat - it is great because of the size and it can stream to your phone for checking the viewing angle etc - I used to use my iPhone which did a good job but was a bit big and unwieldy on my hat - I am still getting used to the action 3 settings, but largely I am using 4K and editing in 1080p which gives you 2x zoom.

that's Awesome! DLGs are heaps of fun and yes, very addictive - they do slope well ... time to hit the park for some thermal training!
@@bracesport did my first small humble thermal flights! eager to do more! 😄
@@MoritzWeller any video?!
@@bracesport yes, i have started sharing my early DLG / RC beginnings. 4 short videos on my channel so far (and 2 freeflight videos from last year) 😄

thank you kindly - DLG is an addictive hobby - get hold of Wynn Robins in Hamilton - he is a master pilot..
Nice flights Phil, I like your comments under the video. Great 43m launch height!

Your videos come out very good. Good framing, Can you provide any info on your filming setup? Are you using a hat cam, what camera, etc?
