I've been looking into SNES game repros lately (currently waiting on parts to build my own 27C322 programmer) and I greatly appreciate you releasing this board with full through-hole support. I'm still a novice solderer and having to deal with surface mounting was rather daunting Are you still intending to release a video on setting up multicarts? I'd love to try it out when I make my own carts!
Hey thank you for this; its amazing. I think in the DYI repros world you're the internet's best kept secret; I know you said that don't like to do much videos, but i think that would help show your amazing work to more people, specially I'd like to see a video example of how to use your adapters for donnor cartridges. thanks and keep up the good work.
Thank you :) I do plan on doing more videos down the line, as I get time. I'm doing a few redesigns currently, once they're finished I'll get around to making videos for them... eventually haha
The only thing the advanced board can't do that the basic board does is utilize the original ROM pinout and 27C801 chips. The upside to the basic board is that you can make 16Mbit and smaller games a bit cheaper, because you don't need as many components as doing a 16Mbit or smaller game on the advanced board.
For that you can use the "Basic" version. I'm planning on making a video of that one eventually, when I get time! mousebitelabs.com/2019/08/12/how-to-make-a-snes-reproduction-cartridge-quick-guide/
@@bucket_mouse I recieved the boards and noticed that my original cart board has a Sram chip that is in the same form factor as the Decoder chip. the Mask rom is the full sized chip. Any recommendations?
Interesting content pal! Wondering if any custom PCBs are requried for your upcoming videos? We'd love to sponsor some for free, to bring nice content together! (PCBWay)
Still one of the coolest videos I've ever seen :))) You deserve so much more recognition I swear

I'm glad I could help :)
I'm planning on doing a multicart video very soon! Hopefully within the next week!

Thank for this video :)
What about games with enhancing chips? Like Starfox, Mega Man X2/3?
I know there's regular boards and advanced boards. Are you able to use the Advanced Board as the "good for all" board for cartridge production?

How do I go about finding out what chips I would need for a rom I wanna use?
Check the tutorial on my website :)
Could this PCB be used to replace an orginal Cart that has tons of broken traces?
For that you can use the "Basic" version. I'm planning on making a video of that one eventually, when I get time!

@@bucket_mouse I ordered 2 just in case I screw something up.

@@joke3979 Check your email :)
Would you do a video on multi carts?
I plan on doing one after I finish the next board revision!
Could you throw a GB and GBA game ROM on a SNES cartridge with this?? That would be perfect for what I want to do!
@@shanetucker3094 nope
@@bucket_mouse No worries! Just thought I'd ask. Lol. Thanks!
Oh, one more question. Will these cards fit in a Super Famicom style shell? @bucket_mouse
@@shanetucker3094 yeah that'll work
@@bucket_mouseAwesome, thanks!
