  • This Bonafide SS107 is an amazing kayak hands down. There was a lot of thought put into the kayak and you can tell, especially when you’re on the water. The stability is phenomenal and it holds plenty of gear and accessories. I want to give a shout out to Raccoon Creek Outfitters for getting us set up with this kayak.

    I have an adjustable paddle and can move pretty good in the low or high position.

    Hadn't seen anyone give that type of seat deployment/ reconfiguring in any other video for the SS107. Nice job and thank you.

    My kayak flipped over in the high position 59 degree water . I leaned over for my anchor next thing you know i was in the water 20 min before i got out . its not as sturdy as you think

      Sorry to hear that. It is as sturdy as I think. I know what it takes to tip it as I’v spent 100s of hours in it. Maybe it’s not as study as you think lol.

    Thanks for showing the Sky Hooks. You were right, there is not a video out there explaining the Sky Hooks. Next Monday I will be purchasing the SS107. Your review just helped make that decision.

      Just wanted to let you kno it seems Bonafide isn’t offering sky hooks anymore; at least that is what I have heard from a single source

      @@TheregoesActionSports I bought my Bonafide SS107. Dealer had a pair of sky hooks. Think bonafide was one of my best fishing investments.

    Excellent tutorial/review, thank you very much for putting this together I’ve been looking at different fishing kayaks and this video has me sold on the ss107

    I am looking at the rs117 and nucanoe flint but a deal just popped up on the ss107 and this video was better than the “professional” ones and makes me think that maybe this is the better kayak for me.

    • @TheregoesActionSports
      @TheregoesActionSports  Рік тому

      It’s honestly a great kayak, the rs117 is nice for the price but does not compare to the comfort of the SS107. The seat itself is worth every penny. IMO the SS107 is outfitted just perfect to do anything with.

    Great review. I’m considering buying the SS107. How does it paddle? I have a Lifetime Yukon Angler which I do like but it paddles like a barge. The Yukon is wide and stable but it pushes a lot of water. I’m looking for something that paddles and tracks well. How does the SS107 handle? Thanks!

      Thank you! Iv been in a couple of 10’ kayaks and this so far paddles and tracks the best when it come to sit-on-tops that I’v tried. The pontoon style haul keeps it quite high on the water thus making it not push much water. It’s for sure not a “fast” kayak but if you put the seat in the lower position if moves pretty well! The biggest issue I have found with the ss107 is since the seat is so high and it sits so high in the water, the wind does like to take you for a good little drift; but that high seat is AMAZING. If you looking for something that tracks better maybe look at the RS117, RVR119 or the SS127. But I do believe the SS107 for the money is a GREAT fishing kayak. Hope this helps.

    I am 6’ and 220# how is the stability for my size?

    • @TheregoesActionSports
      @TheregoesActionSports  Рік тому +1

      I’m only 5’10” but weigh 225 and I can stand with ease. If your worried about stability tho you could also go with the SS127 but as long as you don’t have balance issues you’ll be fine standing in the SS107

    • @TheregoesActionSports
      @TheregoesActionSports  Рік тому +1

      Also plenty of room to sit for your height compared to most kayaks since the seat sits so high up and plenty of leg room

    • @AnAngryAngler
      @AnAngryAngler Рік тому

      Being 6’2” myself, I upgraded to the RVR 119 for standing. With your height would suggest the SS127 for standing & Speed. That extra 20” of length is everything.

    Can the center console be swapped out for pedals?

      That that I have seen offered by Bonafide themselves but their might be an aftermarket pedal system made by a different company

    What pfd do you use? I bought this and cant find one that dont interfere with the high back seat

      Personally I don’t typically wear one in my kayak where I live I just have to have one in the kayak but if I am wearing it, I wear an old wakeboarding lifejacket. You could try the lifejackets that are flush and don’t inflate until you hit the water would be the best option I can think of.

    Seat looks like a pain to adjust while underway. You probably have to stand up and many people aren't comfortable with that.

    • @TheregoesActionSports
      @TheregoesActionSports  Рік тому

      You do have to stand up to change seat yes. Personally it’s very easy to stand in but if you do have balance problems you may not be able to do it. It’s not easy to do but you get used to it. Normally I just keep mine in the high position and I’m good to go.

      @@TheregoesActionSports Thanks. I made the comment before the video was done. I'm almost 75 years old and have flatwater kayak experience and am looking at fishing kayaks. Balance and flexibility not what it used to be and I don't think I could pull it off honestly. Wished you had demoed it while in the water.

      @@B25gunship I’ll make an on water video of stability here soon once water warms up a bit! I pitch and flip a lot so I’m normally standing and for a 10 foot is very stable. They make a 12 foot and I’m sure is ridiculously stable. It’s called the SS127
