QUOBBA: Rugged Raw Beauty | Quintessential OUTBACK COASTAL experience NOT to be missed!

The Quobba coast is about a 75km drive north of Carnarvon (sealed road) and is renowned for exceptional rugged scenery. We stayed for 4nts, to give ourselves plenty of time to experience the impressive Quobba coastline.
Our first stop was the iconic King Waves Kill Sign and The Blowholes. We were amazed by the fascinating sight of water erupting into the air at Quobba blowholes and marvelled at the salt filled rock pools that had formed from the seaspray.🤩
We then journeyed about 10km north, along the unsealed road to Quobba Station and were delighted to find that there was only one other caravan in the campground … yep we virtually had the entire place to ourselves! Quobba Station is a unique slice of Australia, with nature at its rawest (far out ... it was bloody windy, but we weren't surprised)' The Front Beach is great for beachcombing, collecting shells and watching the sunset. The beach goes straight to reef and is home to some incredible marine and bird life … we spied gulls, clams, and even some turtle tracks 🐚🪸
We were in awe of Mother Nature's power and strength including the endless rolling sea swell, crashing waves, howling winds, jagged rock ledges and sheer cliffs. The memorials and plagues of lost souls were a reminder of the ever-present dangers and the extreme care that needs to be exercised in this environment. We did try some land-based game fishing, and although we did have a couple of runs and even the odd big bend in the rod, we were never going to catch or land anything ... we were waaaayyyy under gunned 🎣
We both agreed that Quobba is the quintessential Outback Coastal experience that should NOT be missed! 💖
