Great team work!
The Baby steals da show!!! Love you guys!! God Bless & Dirty Jersey out!! #broinlawns!!
she always did brother!! I'm so glad that she got in this video...we are gonna miss the little booger. Thanks for your friendship and cont'd support brother!
Thanks for this - we have 3 of these and they are now huge - can’t access our side gate door. Will be following your tutorial next year in late winter!
Don’t hesitate to cut them back at all!!
Thanks for sharing. About the heavy mulch around the base of the shrubs we call those "mulch volcano's" love the pup.
This wasn't even volcanoes, it was mulch suffocation lol ... thanks for tuning in Timothy and your kind words
You two make a great team! Always enjoy the videos!
thank you so much for the support!
@@mithgo_outdoor Our pleasure!
Love seeing Hannah and you working together!!!
Hey there darlin!! I love it also!! Thankfully we've had more opportunities lately to get outside together. Hope you and the Note clan are doing wonderful! Thank you for tuning in
Looking good my friend. 🙏🏼 Thank for the content.
Thanks buddy!! I'm headed over to your channel shortly to catch up on a few videos! Thank you for your cont'd support
Thank you for this video! I've been wondering what to do about this huge bush in front of the windows! Now I know! Love the pup
glad we could help !!
Great work guys!!
Thanks dude!
Awww... Valentine.... ♥️♥️♥️♥️
yeeaaa...sweet Baby made an appearance!
Awesome video as always dude!
thanks buddy, if they suck please tell me! lol
Thank you this is exactly what we want to do!!
Glad it could help!
It still amazes me that you can cut a bush down that far, and it grows back like nothing happened to it.
I know right?? The burning bush shrub is very hardy and will come back like it never happened! Thanks for watching Scott! Hope you have been doing well
You went to TOWN on those bad boys! Awesome work man.
mannnn it was WAY OVERDUE!! When the foliage was there we couldn't even see out the windows! lol I had been meaning to prune them back for a couple years...finally got around to it! Thanks for tuning in brother
@@mithgo_outdoor I know that feeling! Absolutely man! Thanks for sharing good info!
Good job.👊🏼🧔🇺🇸
Love the crew❤️
Thanks for your cont'd support Gary! Unfortunately the little bulldog is no longer with us :-( , so I'm glad that she made it into this video. Thank you for tuning in
@@mithgo_outdoor so sorry Mitchell
@@garrisonfamilyalbum3901 yea it's been rough...dogs don't live long enough man. I like them better than most humans lol
Thank you for the demo and info. I have some burning bushes that I need to plant up and knowing that you can prune them this hard is great. It means I can now plant them where I had originally planned. Great stuff. Thank you.
glad it could be of some help !!
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it Logan, hope you are doing well
Next winter when I prune my apple trees, my burning bush is going to get a hard trimming!
Sounds like a plan!
Great help. I'm planting one in a space where it can grow as big as it wants. I won't be hard pruning ever, but should I thin the branches yearly?
You get sucklings that grow around the base so definitely clip those. Thinning the branches would be personal preference I believe. Thanks for tuning in.
Do you have to do anything to the plant to care for it after this?
Mitch, looking good.
Thanks for your kind words Brian and for watching!
Nice video. Mine were oversized as well, hard to cut them back so much especially as I had them in nice shape. But I did them today, let's see how they come back.
You’ll be glad you did!!
Hi, thank y’all for the video! I have three fire bushes at my new home and I am curious if I can prune them now that it is April in the midwest. there is no foliage on them at all . they just look bare and possibly over grown.
light pruning would be ok, but hard pruning like you see in this video should be done during winter when the plants go dormant
@@mithgo_outdoor :
Great video! I have to put that on my list of hard pruning this year how cold is your winter? For me looks like spring we live in Northern Illinois and it's cold 🥶.
I’m NC I’d say our winters are mild but we do get cold snaps with temps below freezing
Now that it's late March, have I missed my window for being able to prune our burning bush? I live in Illinois. The bush is crowding out the outdoor light fixtures on both sides of our garage.
as long as you don't see any new buds you should be ok. If there are buds then you'll have to wait til winter again to do a hard pruning. You can do some light trimming/shaping on it any time.
Good team work 👍👍
Can u show what it look like in the following summer? Please? Thx
Thanks for tuning in Kim. Here is a quick video I did on a 6 month follow up after pruning. ua-cam.com/video/frainYeiXaA/v-deo.html Since filming I no longer live at that house.
How low should I go if Im trimming them this time of year ?
Now isn’t the time to do hard pruning on them. Mine have already started budding. Wait til the winter months
Do you have a follow-up video on the burning bushes to see how they are doing now? Mine are so large I am afraid to touch them.
I don't have one yet, but I can certainly film one!
Here ya go Shelly ! ua-cam.com/video/frainYeiXaA/v-deo.html
Can I do this in the late fall?
Certainly
How do they look now? 2 years later?
sold the house but they still look great. Current homeowner has not trimmed them since we sold.
Thanks.....was going to attack them differently.
Glad it could help, thanks for tuning in
Another bulldog stealing the show.
She was a sweety !! We miss her
