Asims friendships/connections won't save him now. He has been the same every year. If he didn't have his connections he would have been out of the league years ago. He seems like a great guy but it's been the same every year. I know what Ace was trying to say about the Asim card but that's the mentality that has kept Asim in the league for so long. He has the connections, but thats obviously part of the league we have. That said, he did play well in challengers and they pretty much won everything when he was in challengers. Also he wasn't getting shit on while on Boston, he was playing just like all the other players in the bottom third of the league.
As dogshit as Asim is, he still has won as many events as Dashy, Shotzzy, and Pred have won in the last 3 years..

Old vs new COD is no contest. Game is so fast today. The skill gap between the teams right now may appear larger but it's because the game is harder and faster. Reason why older players can't hang any more, Arcitys, Slasher, Clay.
Arcitys was very good in Cold War against and with guys that put up the same stats they do now and clay and slasher both play better on lan than online so that makes absolutely no sense. The problem is people like you thinking that just because it’s a video game you should stay just as good throughout your entire career from start to finish Scump and attach are the only players who never dropped off to be bad, everyone else has at some point dropped off to being in the lower half of pro players towards the end of their career whether it be getting older or lack of motivation after winning events. The guys your trying to say aren’t good now have all played 10+ years of pro cod, simp cell, scrap, hydra have played 6,6,4,2 years of pro cod so obviously their overall career KD’s will look better this is like saying Mbappe is better than Ronaldo all time because he’s scoring more in 2024. Makes absolutely no sense and just isn’t true😂
100% also the bottom teams are actual full time professionals who have coaching staffs and watch vod. Trei acting like it used to be harder when he couldnt hang on the Ravens is comedy. I shouldnt have said 30’s and will edit that original comment but these guys are not able to cut it in what should be their prime because people are just actually better. The difference in COD is that its so niche your not dealing with the theoretical best of the best because so few people pursue it or are aware it exists. As more people pursue it they are phasing out the originators who were the biggest fish in the smaller pond.

PurJ was honestly the gluenfor vegas. His ability to create space for his team is the reason they could fry. Giving them all impecable timings making them look good.
His slayer rating wasnt the best but what kills is he gonna get when the rest ofnhis team is a 1.1 or better. His BP rating was actually the highest on the team, doing all the dirty work, always making the play being in the right place on the map and was constantly getting better.

10:29 i do think this is the worst iteration if competition in the CDL era this year, but i think its equally the fault of ABYSMAL team formations, as it is talent stacking on the top4. If the best up and coming talents didnt spread themselves out onto rokker,surge, Carolina,etc then we'd likely have 1-3 more competitive teams. The fact that all the rookies were BAMBOOZLED into joining rosters with past their prim vets, on fugaze team compositions i will never understand. You literally take Attach plus 3 good rookies, and dan ghosty plus 3 good rookies and we have a more competitive / balanced top 6. Instead we have gwinn with bums, abuzah with mega bums, gio with whatever you call vegas legion, and boston throwing BAGS at players who cant even win an SnD. It quite embarrassing to witness

The NYSL academy thing is the player that left’s fault, I hope he never gets a chance in the CDL after such a poor showing of professionalism. It’s understandable NYSL acted how they did, ofc they could’ve tried to make it work with another player within that timeframe, but let’s be real, the player that breached his contract is the only one at fault here
Multiple things can be true at the same time
1) Players leave their Challengers team all the time. In this case, if he had a contract and he broke the contract by leaving, that’s on him.
2) NYSL pulling support for the team makes sense. Like you said, their team fell apart at the last minute due to a player leaving.
3) Absolutely sucks for the players that didn’t do anything wrong
4) Remaining players are allowed to feel like the org dropped the ball (they did nothing wrong)
Obviously a lot we don’t know about the contractual aspects

I'll admit that I'm not very familiar with challengers except for whatever TacRab shares on his videos, which is why a contract being mentioned surprised me in the first place. I might've jumped the gun on my judgement anyways as we are far from knowing the full picture, as you said yourself, but I felt like people might wrongfully put all the blame on NYSL, which I don't think would be fair. Most Challengers teams aren't signed to orgs, so it's easy for players to "team hop". You just tell your boys that you're off to greener pastures...

Crim 4 stacking with 3 other top 10 players in bo2 and ghosts isn’t the separator for being a greater player, 1 season as a better individual player than scump during bo1-IW along with in the 3 years on the dynasty together crim wasn’t even better than formal let alone scump

He got dropped, Vegas wanted a Purj upgrade bc it seemed like he couldn’t hold his own in the kill department.
