I use the music box as a kind of journaling vehicle. The paper tape of the hand-cranked music box is 10 meters long. It is divided into 51 parts. Each part represents a day. They represent the 51 days of my stay in Switzerland. I developed and varied a traditional Swiss melody "Holiday in Switzerland" and punched the notes onto a 10-meter-long paper tape. There are also some supermarket shopping receipts attached to the paper tape covered with musical notes. They all come from our daily life in Switzerland. While I was playing the music box, I silently reviewed those 51 days of life in my mind.
