Great stuff and getting the triple pass is just too good......strewth you could go all day to get three freights in daylight in Victoria and you get them all at once.
A dual carriageway freeway parallels this line. People *choose* to take the train because it's frequent, cheaper than driving and delivers you into the middle of Melbourne without the need for a parking spot.Improved rail services have lead to an increase in patronage rather than phasing them out. Plus, DMU's are used right across the UK, Europe, Japan.and Asia. As for double stacking, Australia is one of only a handful of countries where it occurs outside the USA, just not on the east coast.
WOW! Fantastic video, the two cross shots were perfectly timed. The one of the three freights has to be Victorian train video of the year lol. Great stuff, thanks for uploading.
There isn't a huge advantage with using well cars where the loading gauge doesn't allow for double stacking. Those "RDC's" are Sprinter railcars that were built in the early 1990's, not the 1950's. They are designed for short interurban runs where a full length train would not be cost effective.
Awesome video. Just two questions. 1. Is the Albury pass slow due to speed restrictions? 2. Does the next down train have something wrong with the horn? It sounds a bit off.
fantastic...many thanks. Stotty in Cambodia.
very nice!
loved the last shot.
extreamly lucky Getting the APEX and the TOC crossing each other, along with a Standard gauge frieght.
bloody amazing!
triple track running at 3.0 mins that is something I have never been lucky enough to see very well done
Brilliant stuff, even the end seemed perfectly timed.

Geez, this is a pretty busy part of our great rail system. Awesome video, mate!
wow wee, I thought the quarry train would block out the locos of the southbound freight but it turned out just perfect.
Very nice! Timing was perfect!
Now thats what I call a brillient shot! Very nicely done there James.
Bellissimo video !!!! 5 ***** al regista..... Complimenti.
That is absolutely amazing

FANTASTIC WORK mate...simply the best video! :D Thumbs UP!
Amazing catch, you don't see many three way passes!!
That truly is amazing
Awesome 3 way meet :) !!
@kutless22974 There appeared to be a speed restriction in that spot. As for the horn, I don't think there was anything wrong with it.
Excellent video !
Holy shit this is the best video I have ever seen
Yes
Awesome video.
