@@cakewalk4602 I dug a 128x128 circular perimeter to bedrock, and decided to use my 3-4 double chest of emeralds, but quickly realized thats not enough, so its more of a green base ngl.
@@ricenoodle08 That's probably for the best. Bases are the coolest when they use a bunch of different complimenting blocks

A little tip: you could add a repeater to slow down the process of the elevator starting so that you have time to walk in.

Pro tip - connect the up and down pistons which activate the flying machine to both buttons with redstone, that way you can call the elevator if it's not on your floor.
This is how you can connect these properly without a torch tower-
Just do a observer line from bottom to top, same with top to bottom and boom, best way for vertical redstone for this.
How?
By running separate signals up and down. The outside will likely have to be a bit bigger. Use glass and two repeaters each way and make sure they are separate circuits. I just did it, and it wasn’t too hard. My problem (before alterations) is that I need to push the top button 1-3 times for it to work. I am trying to sort that out as I write.

@@chocolatefrosting4019 oh I'm sry for being confusing, I meant, like originally you have bottom button connected to bottom piston with redstone. Just connect that to the top piston as well by redstone, do the same with top, connect the top button to bottom piston too. Now you have both buttons linked to both pistons if that made any sense 🤔
Not too confusing, but a bit of tinkering because it is a long circuit. You run a separate circuit out of the button button to the top piston, and a separate circuit from the top button to the bottom piston. Also if you find you have to press the top button more than once to work, just carry the obsidian all the way up on both sides. Now I only have to press each button once.

For any of you who are having trouble with the elevator, and have pressed it multiple times, just keep pressing it, I have the same problem where I have to press it like five times, but it does work

Hey man I can't tell you how much I've waited for you to put up a piston elevator video for bedrock! I love the way your builds are so minimalistic and not too time and resource consuming. Keep up the good work!
I had a couple issues with mine. First off, mine produced an x-ray glitch which would eventually make me fall through the floor. I had to remove the block above me to stop that from ever happening. Secondly, mine would get stuck at the top. The only way I could make it work all the time from the top was to remove the piston side block at eye level that had redstone on it and run it out the front so there was no block at eye level on the piston side. I also removed 2 obsidian blocks from that same side at the top and replaced the removed blocks with closed fence gates situated so they don't touch the flying machine.
Hope this helps other that might be facing the same.

For people having problems with the machine glitching you through the floor when you go up: Break the block directly above you when you stand in the elevator. Mojang broke something in the newest update and this is a common glitch with all elevator designs in bedrock at the moment. Also, you can use honey blocks in place of slime blocks if you so desire, I did, simply because I think they look better.

Bro I’ve been looking for a tutorial for so long and have been clickbated so many times! This is soo good and works well with my cool underground build!! I’ve liked and subscribed cause this was the easiest and best tutorial I’ve ever seen!
Tips:
Add a repeater or two to slow the elevator.
Make a button for the elevator to come to your floor when it's not there - great for SMPs and servers
Did this on mine and it is so easy now!

It's really good..my only problem is the time it takes to go up and down...even using the stairs is much faster🤣.. it really looks cool though 👍
If you further link the red stone circuit between both buttons using extra red stone and two towers of Observers facing up and down, your elevator will constantly activate automatically after the first button press on either end. Just hop in when it arrives. No fear of being stranded up or down.
You can get an endless pulse running through the circuit so that both triggers routinely go off without needing to press any buttons. You can use the buttons in case it jams on one end. They will both work if you link the circuit.
Tip: Add a trap door to the slime blocks so you don't see the slime blocks while going up the elevator.

I knew I wanted a Redstone elevator for my Villager hotel, I was just afraid it would be hard to make. This tutorial makes it seem so easy!
I use to play minecraft on my Xbox 360, and when I transfered my data to the One all my old builds with redstone had to be rewired because the Repeater functions had been changed. (Instead of powering 2 stacked pistons, it only powered the bottom one, but replacing with redstone fixed it). Wish they didnt change the mechanics, but maybe it'll better in the long run. Thanks for the tutorial maybe I get back into more Redstone builds!

people of 1.19, at the top you will need to build a pulse extender with 4 comparators, and a stick piston with a block to trigger the observer. Not sure why, but 1.19 messed with redstone
and even then it only sometimes fires

Actually,im pretty sure you can make it multifloored by having pistons close a specific Part of the shaft,by pushing a block next to one of the slime blocks and then pulling the block away.
i have no idea how many blocks the pistons could still push in which i recommend counting them
(piston push limit is 12 blocks + the machine is divided in half with 1 piston each moving the other half either up or down)
And if it could go over that limit by pushing a block into a sticky part of the machine,you could block the elevator then stopping it,if by any chance 1 block doesnt do it and you have 2 blocks that the elevator can still push or pull,then you could make it 2 wide,from what i can see in the videos design....this should work because the top of the machine is flat therefore nothing will break when it stops,you could handle how to pull the stopping mechanism very easily and the rest should work....
Also reminder:
(count the blocks that the pistons can still move (in total 24 since each piston can move 12,if the limit of the pistons isnt reached after making it 2 wide then you will have to put more than one retractable stop block so the piston doesnt break)

I built the same elevator without a tutorial and with an automatic door system and a call function and its so cool
How'd you rig up the call function? At the end of Jason's video I'm just like "But what happens when the elevator is at the top and you're at the bottom?" 😆 Very important to include a way to call it back down!
@@CrystalBreakfast i built the elevator "inside" a mountain, so you have to build a redstone system that goes all the way up to the block that update the observer that allow the elevator to go down (idk if you understood)

Idk If anyone else had this problem, but when I hit the button it would go up 2 clicks and then just stop. And I tried hitting the button again, nothing happened, and it wouldn't move after that unless I broke it

How about adding a repeater to delay the elevator a bit. We can enter quicker that way. 2 repeaters set to 3 ticks should be perfect
1 on 4t and another on 2t is also good
