www.fruduamusic.com - A brief anticipation of a full video on the recording of "I want to hold your hand" coming late this year.
During the recording of "I want to hold your hand", on October 17th, 1963, George Harrison played two different guitars. He used the Rickenbacker 425 in the verse and refrains and switched to the Gretsch Country Gentleman for the middle eights.
The Rickenbacker 425 original part in the middle eights was later erased from the lead track to fit the arpeggio played with the Gretsch Country Gentleman, but still remained there captured by the microphones of the other Beatles during the live performance of the final take.
So it's actually present but at a very low volume in the Rhythm track that in all mixes is panned left.
Still, it has a very nice impact on the arrangement of the song in the middle eight to the point that John decided to play this part during the Beatles live performance of I want to hold your hand.
Here you can find a recreation of this part which nicely harmonizes with the Lead guitar arpeggio that took its place in the arrangement.

Wow great ears. There are always buried gems in recordings that no one ever notices but contributes to the overall sound.
It's hard to immediately notice the nuances of the accompaniment behind John's vocals.
GooD)))))))
I'm a Japanese who has been a Beatles fan for over 50 years.
Thank you for always providing such interesting videos. (^^♪
Galeazzo! This is another one of your fascinating, informative videos - which I always enjoy. You did great work on breaking down George's lead guitar parts. Thank you for the insights!
Really great maestro! 🙏🎶
So glad to see you're still making videos! =) been a long time since I've visited.
✨First Beatles song I fell in love with - & I’m a fan in real time. Thanks Galeazzo 👍🏻✨

Greetings from Italy :)
Rickenbacker 425s ain't easy to get hold of these days. You probably need to know somebody who owns one.
Right in fact I build them myself using original 50ies manufacturing technology.
@@galeazzofrudua2512 do you know if that's allowed by the Rickenbacker company or do you need permission?
Brilliant, as usual, maestro!
more piano tutorials please!!
Insightful as always! Do you think we’ll see a video breaking down the individual tones anytime soon? I’ve always wanted to have that rhythm guitar sound in my back pocket in case I needed it
I will first make a video about the recording of Hand which was quite complex and interesting :)
Man I love your enthusiasm but this is inaccurate. We did this with Ably House. This was a song recorded on a 2 track. They had no ability to overdub another guitar. And they would not have taken the chance of “erasing” a part on the 2 track. That would be impossible. Read the session notes. They’re very detailed
Hi Clay, nice to hear from you, this was the first song the Beatles recorded on 4 tracks :)
