I watched Risa’s and Michelle Wang’s reviews. They have differing skin types. Their results were very interesting. If you haven’t watched, I’d suggest doing so. It almost looks like 7.5 has a gray/olive undertone which, with your warm skin tone, reads gray. It certainly looks beautiful on your skin despite the color not being a perfect match. Love your thorough, honest, detailed reviews. 💜

I’m glad to hear you had a good experience with this! It looks great on you! I have very oily skin, so for me it was a no go, just like the stick foundation. When I was testing it out my thoughts were that it would likely be perfect for someone with normal to slightly dry skin. I also agree that the shades are a bit funky. 5.6 pulled gray on my lower cheeks. Great review as always! 😃👍🏻

This is the 10th day using this foundation since the day I reviewed it 🥰 I didn’t have any troubles with the shade or forming any grey cast, I got the same shade as my TF Soft Radiance and although there is a hair of difference it was still perfect for me 💕 I never thought that having dry skin myself I would have love this foundation so much because this is not soft matte, it is more of a satin foundation, just stupendous 💖 I’m happy to see you back Tara, and excited for what is to come for you babe 😘💖💋

This foundation is my first TF foundation purchase. I was a bit nervous with shade selection, but I also purchased 7.0 Tawny. I have been in love with it, I have had no issues with oxidation. I am very pleased other than the twist top, I dropped it, and it’s a little wonky now to open and close. I am on the fence to order the stick, I am combo skin normal/oily tzone.

I'm medium neutral I got 5.6 and it's the best shade match I've ever gotten. I love this foundation it reminds me of the pat McGrath but with more coverage def a new favorite for me!! I knew you were going to love it because man I do its soo good.
I usually use the 4.7 cool beige. However, it does oxidize on me. It will be ok in the summer but I ordered the 4.0 to mix with it towards winter. I do like it but I only use one layer. I don’t have the gray cast, but I watched Michele Wangs video and Risa’s video and their application turned patchy and some grayish tones in some areas. For me, its the perfect work foundation for me....
I'm the same way about getting the right shade! I bought 4 bottles of the Wet n Wild dewy foundation to get the best shade for me! It's $6, so I spent $24 total. Kudos to you for spending $88 for each bottle!

In the shade comparison swatches, the new foundation had an obvious gray tone! I would think a company that charges $88 for foundation, would be cognizant of how each shade translates over the different formulas! I'm glad you love it, but you shouldn't have had to buy TWO $88 bottles (or 3?)to get the correct shade.❤❤❤❤

I truly enjoy the foundation, love the finish and I think that for me it looked better 2 to 3 hours later. As I watched Michelle Wang and Risa does makeup reviews before I even tried it on me, I was a bit scared because their reviews were not good for them, I am I impressed and I think that it looked a bit better than the shade and Illuminate on me. Yea the shade definitely has a grey undertone, that is so weird. So I wonder if the rest of his shades have that same undertone because I saw glamgirlchelsea review on this foundation and her shade had a slightly grey undertone as well. My Estée Lauder Futurist foundation is sooo grey, even worse than what this one looks like. I can’t wear it at all unless I mix it with a foundation that’s too warm for me. It’s very strange. This foundation looks so pretty but I love the stick so much I think I’m gonna pass on this one. Well maybe I’ll try it after I go through some of the foundations I already have. Btw I’ve noticed that the stick foundation doesn’t transfer onto my mask at all and I have to wear a mask for 12 hours when I’m working. Its the only foundation I own that doesn’t transfer.

I love watching your makeup reviews because they're in depth. On this review, One thing I noticed about the TF shade was it did have an ashy overcast in the swatch photos, but on your skin & in the sun it looked great, Does it have a wonky sunscreen that throws the shade off? I noticed you were wearing a gray top on day one & a blue top on day 2 of the test...Not sure if this matters. Maybe a sunscreen or a Messed Up batch or could be out of date. I see someone has already mentioned Risa does makeup and Michelle Wang found this foundation to go splotchy and oxidize darker on their jawline and they have totally opposite skin types as well as Risa stating it emphasized her pores. Makes me want to wait until I can go and apply in-store and see what happens in that area. Love to hear your thoughts after you've used the 7.0 color as it did look very grey above your lip area but gorgeous everywhere else. Need a new foundation soon and was contemplating the TF stick, EL Futurist or this one?? I only want to purchase 1 foundation for all year though and don't like matte foundations now I'm a lot older with mature skin. Ahhh, thank you so so much❤💋 Yes, I'm excited to see what the new shade will do and hoping it doesn't act weird🤞🤞🤣 But. I LOOOVE the Stick foundation. And if you have dry mature skin, it's a dream come true. But if you want a more satin finish this one is definitely perfect. (As long as you get the right shade lol). But i love the EL Futurist foundation. But, if you're not careful and apply too much, it will get thick and cakey and can look heavy over wrinkles. Even though TF is owned by EL, i still prefer the TF foundations over the EL. They are just better. And this one and the Stick to me is worth the money. The reviews I've read thus far on the Sephora website say the same thing❤ I'll definitely give you all an update when I get that new shade💋💋💋
I ordered 5.6 Ivory Beige, mine too goes to a grey cast...bizarre. Update.. I tried it again and liked it much more.. I think reapplying it over spots that needed extra coverage created the grey look. Instead used Shape Tape on those spots & powdered with Banana Powder.. much better!

You should have tried the traceless perfecting foundation, I think you would have loved it. The traceless stick foundation is also one of my favorites. I just got this new foundation and love it. By the end of the day I still look great. Mine doesn't have any difference in the color compared to all my other Tom Ford Foundations.

I wish I saw this video before I bought it! I bought the same shade it’s so grey! I never had a foundation turn this colour before. On my birthday I did my makeup with this and, I was going over spots like you were saying not to do…. and my makeup looked so messed up I had to take it all off lol. I’m in love with the formula though so I guess I’ll try the next shade down.

It’s a beautiful foundation on you, but I do see the grey cast right above your lip. I wonder if you can try another shade. Interesting! There was a foundation that did that to me one time, but I can’t remember which one it was. It’s so hard right now because we can’t go in the store, and test anything out right now. There are so many foundations I want to try, but I can’t stand getting them, and then being disappointed having to do all that shipping back. Especially when you love the foundation, but really don’t like the color!!!!! 😭😩!!!!! Again, Tara thanks for doing this for us because I’m around the same color as you sometimes one shade lighter. Its aggravating not being able to buy the same shade you’re used to/ you kinda rely on knowing your shade match in that brand especially with online shopping! I have Shade and Illuminate in 7.2, the Stick foundation in 7.0 ~and the Glow foundation in 7.0 and 7.7. I would love to try it but i think i have to see it in person for a shade match.

I have the La Mer soft fluid and it's a little light so I never wear it. BUT. I just bought those cover fx enhancing drops that you can add to the foundation to adjust the shade and really hoping it works because nothing worse than letting a $125 foundation going to waste😁😳 Let me know how you like it💋

I just looked and I have it set for 3 ads in the video total. If there is more, sometimes UA-cam will ad more in the midrolls, specially if the video is getting quick views. But. I have too say, smaller UA-camrs need more ads than larger influencers. We don't make much money doing this (specially at my size which last I checked i am at 35,000 subs) So, in order to buy and test this stuff to review and help our audience save their money, we have to buy it. We're not getting it in PR, and are not making much money on UA-cam. I have never broke even on my channel yet. Of course i use the money I earn from this channel to buy this stuff, but I have never came close to breaking even. Google sadly pays us crap per view. It's truly awful how much they screw us. 😳😪 But I'm sorry if you have to watch ads and skip every 5 min, i know that's SOOOO frustrating.. But us smaller channels need it to survive. Fortunately I don't do this for the money or I would have quit a long time ago🤣 But the ads will help recover some of the money we put out, and also using our links, it all ads up and so helpful. 🙏 Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and I totally understand from a viewers perspective hope frustrating it is. I watched a 35 min video recently that had 16 ads and I wanted to support her, but I couldn't take the ads. Hehehe, I have too say I LOOOVE your honesty ❤🙌 I just reached 35,000 subs. I only check it maybe once or twice a month. Before I hit it, I was checking it multiple times a day and it became such a distraction. I don't do UA-cam for high sub counts, PR, etc. I do UA-cam because I LOVE makeup, and i love sharing it with other people, and giving brutality honest opinions on it. And my focus needed to stay clear. I didn't want to get swept up in the madness of influencer world. Lol. So, when I reached around 5,000 subs, I hid it so i didn't see it every time I opened my UA-cam app. Of course i can still see it but I have to actually go looking to find it and I just don't know. It's amazing 🤪 I'm thinking about switching it back and see how it goes. I have nothing to hide, it was truly my focus. (Same with the likes and dislikes , nothing worse than spending 12 hours on a video and seeing dislikes. Even if you have 500 likes, those 4 dislikes will drive you insane HAHA) 😁❤🤪 Anyway, again. You are so right. It casted a grey like shadow. At first I loved it but it did not wear nicely by end of the day.

This foundation looks so pretty but I love the stick so much I think I’m gonna pass on this one. Well maybe I’ll try it after I go through some of the foundations I already have. Btw I’ve noticed that the stick foundation doesn’t transfer onto my mask at all and I have to wear a mask for 12 hours when I’m working. Its the only foundation I own that doesn’t transfer.

On this review, One thing I noticed about the TF shade was it did have an ashy overcast in the swatch photos, but on your skin & in the sun it looked great, Does it have a wonky sunscreen that throws the shade off? I noticed you were wearing a gray top on day one & a blue top on day 2 of the test...Not sure if this matters. Maybe a sunscreen or a Messed Up batch or could be out of date. I see someone has already mentioned Risa does makeup and Michelle Wang found this foundation to go splotchy and oxidize darker on their jawline and they have totally opposite skin types as well as Risa stating it emphasized her pores. Makes me want to wait until I can go and apply in-store and see what happens in that area. Love to hear your thoughts after you've used the 7.0 color as it did look very grey above your lip area but gorgeous everywhere else. Need a new foundation soon and was contemplating the TF stick, EL Futurist or this one?? I only want to purchase 1 foundation for all year though and don't like matte foundations now I'm a lot older with mature skin. Ahhh, thank you so so much❤💋 Yes, I'm excited to see what the new shade will do and hoping it doesn't act weird🤞🤞🤣 But. I LOOOVE the Stick foundation. And if you have dry mature skin, it's a dream come true. But if you want a more satin finish this one is definitely perfect. (As long as you get the right shade lol). But i love the EL Futurist foundation. But, if you're not careful and apply too much, it will get thick and cakey and can look heavy over wrinkles. Even though TF is owned by EL, i still prefer the TF foundations over the EL. They are just better. And this one and the Stick to me is worth the money. The reviews I've read thus far on the Sephora website say the same thing❤ I'll definitely give you all an update when I get that new shade💋💋💋

I ordered 5.6 Ivory Beige, mine too goes to a grey cast...bizarre. Update.. I tried it again and liked it much more.. I think reapplying it over spots that needed extra coverage created the grey look. Instead used Shape Tape on those spots & powdered with Banana Powder.. much better!

I agree with you about the finish on the foundation.
You should have tried the traceless perfecting foundation, I think you would have loved it. The traceless stick foundation is also one of my favorites. I just got this new foundation and love it. By the end of the day I still look great. Mine doesn't have any difference in the color compared to all my other Tom Ford Foundations.

I wish I saw this video before I bought it! I bought the same shade it’s so grey! I never had a foundation turn this colour before. On my birthday I did my makeup with this and, I was going over spots like you were saying not to do…. and my makeup looked so messed up I had to take it all off lol. I’m in love with the formula though so I guess I’ll try the next shade down.
The shade is SO WEIRD. I've seen some with a grey cast, but this was on another level😳 So sorry you had to wipe it off after doing your makeup for your birthday. Why does Tom Ford insist on lavender oil in their foundations? Because of this I can’t try their foundations and they look beautiful!
It’s a beautiful foundation on you, but I do see the grey cast right above your lip. I wonder if you can try another shade. Interesting! There was a foundation that did that to me one time, but I can’t remember which one it was. It’s so hard right now because we can’t go in the store, and test anything out right now. There are so many foundations I want to try, but I can’t stand getting them, and then being disappointed having to do all that shipping back. Especially when you love the foundation, but really don’t like the color!!!!! 😭😩!!!!! Again, Tara thanks for doing this for us because I’m around the same color as you sometimes one shade lighter. Its aggravating not being able to buy the same shade you’re used to/ you kinda rely on knowing your shade match in that brand especially with online shopping!
I have Shade and Illuminate in 7.2, the Stick foundation in 7.0 ~and the Glow foundation in 7.0 and 7.7.
I would love to try it but i think i have to see it in person for a shade match.

I have the La Mer soft fluid and it's a little light so I never wear it. BUT. I just bought those cover fx enhancing drops that you can add to the foundation to adjust the shade and really hoping it works because nothing worse than letting a $125 foundation going to waste😁😳 Let me know how you like it💋

Nice review!! but, do you guys really need to put so many AD's? I usually watch youtube while I'm running, but now youtuber's are adding so many ad's that sometimes it's annoying to click the skip button every 5mins... 😫
I just looked and I have it set for 3 ads in the video total. If there is more, sometimes UA-cam will ad more in the midrolls, specially if the video is getting quick views. But. I have too say, smaller UA-camrs need more ads than larger influencers. We don't make much money doing this (specially at my size which last I checked i am at 35,000 subs) So, in order to buy and test this stuff to review and help our audience save their money, we have to buy it. We're not getting it in PR, and are not making much money on UA-cam. I have never broke even on my channel yet. Of course i use the money I earn from this channel to buy this stuff, but I have never came close to breaking even. Google sadly pays us crap per view. It's truly awful how much they screw us. 😳😪 But I'm sorry if you have to watch ads and skip every 5 min, i know that's SOOOO frustrating.. But us smaller channels need it to survive. Fortunately I don't do this for the money or I would have quit a long time ago🤣 But the ads will help recover some of the money we put out, and also using our links, it all ads up and so helpful. 🙏 Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and I totally understand from a viewers perspective hope frustrating it is. I watched a 35 min video recently that had 16 ads and I wanted to support her, but I couldn't take the ads. If it's gray it's possible it's not the right undertone for you. Black women tend to get the same cast when foundation clashes with their undertone
U can only see the gray when ur first putting it on, and in the arm swatches...very strange!
It's so weird. And, in person you can't see it persay, but it's a weird gray cast on my skin. I need something warmer . 😁❤ It goes to show you how grey it is when i swatch on my arm which has fake tan and much warmer. Crazy. Hehehe, I have too say I LOOOVE your honesty ❤🙌 I just reached 35,000 subs. I only check it maybe once or twice a month. Before I hit it, I was checking it multiple times a day and it became such a distraction. I don't do UA-cam for high sub counts, PR, etc. I do UA-cam because I LOVE makeup, and i love sharing it with other people, and giving brutality honest opinions on it. And my focus needed to stay clear. I didn't want to get swept up in the madness of influencer world. Lol. So, when I reached around 5,000 subs, I hid it so i didn't see it every time I opened my UA-cam app. Of course i can still see it but I have to actually go looking to find it and I just don't know. It's amazing 🤪 I'm thinking about switching it back and see how it goes. I have nothing to hide, it was truly my focus. (Same with the likes and dislikes , nothing worse than spending 12 hours on a video and seeing dislikes. Even if you have 500 likes, those 4 dislikes will drive you insane HAHA) 😁❤🤪 Anyway, again. I love your honesty and you were nice about it. Love it❤ Thanks for watching, hope it was helpful. P.S. in today's GRWM video I applied 7.0 tawny in this foundation and it looks so much better😁❤
