Grandpa Lewis Jones is a musical Legend that can never be replaced and there are many musical Legends lost to history Grandpa personally knew several of them it is a time lost and sadly a Time nearly forgotten hopefully we will all remember Grandpa and his friends personally I hope when I die if I go to heaven I get greeted by Grandpa at the gates Play the song to lift my soul
I heard a joke about Grandpa going to the doctor saying he had gone completely deaf....the doc looked in his ear and found a suppository......when he told unflappable Grandpa, he said he knew where his hearing aid was....
***** I saw Grandpa when he was just a young man and he was just as good then. I often remark that he looked old back then but I realise it was make up. Thank You gloria for all your wonderful video clips.
Gloria I uploaded 'Gone Home' by the original songwriter Bill Carlisle where he is singing the song he wrote "Gone Home" on 'Country Family Reunion Gospel Series' with Buck, Sharon & Cheryl White, Bill Carlisle was 90 years old when he did this performance! ua-cam.com/video/6V0anguFR0k/v-deo.html
Hello, I have this whole box set of CFR and I love it and yes Bill wrote a lot of wonderful songs , and Grandpa and Romona does such a great job on this one, Thanks for the uploads on this great bunch of people, Gloria
Look, I absolutely hate to say this, because the Jones, Raymond Fairchild, and Josh Crowe are all national treasures, but that's exactly why I think this video should be altered or removed. It's an assault on the senses, everyone with ears and eyes knows why, and it's not how Gramps should be remembered. This keeps incessantly popping up on playlists and I'm sure there are a lot of folks that have never heard anything else Grandpa's done who are immediately turned off to his work and that's a shame. I'm not saying this video is not an important record, nor insignificant, or that it shouldn't be on UA-cam. I am saying please reconsider how this is presented, and essentially without comment.
I'll be home someday too. I'm homesick. Lots of friends and family in heaven waiting on me. I'm exited about it. Love you Lord.
What a national treasure he was. Nobody has filled their shoes George . It's all flash and big money now . Talent be damned

I saw Grandpa live 4 years prior to passing, and he and Ramona were a class act. Thanks for this video.
Living most of my year in east TN, I can truly appreciate this song and the performers.

What a great reunion we’ll have when we all go home. ❤
Poor Grandpa had almost gone completely deaf by the time this was filmed. Great stuff.
I understand he had a whole box of hearing aids and he could never get one that he liked,
I heard a joke about Grandpa going to the doctor saying he had gone completely deaf....the doc looked in his ear and found a suppository......when he told unflappable Grandpa, he said he knew where his hearing aid was....

Great song by Bill Carlisle, sad to hear Grandpa sing off key, he really can hold a note but his hearing went which explains it.
