- White House spokesman says Israel needs to change how it is carrying out its war in Gaza.
John Kirby says Biden told Netanyahu that failing to do so will force the US to change its policy towards Israel.
The White House also says Israel must allow a “dramatic” increase of aid into Gaza within “hours or days,” after President Joe Biden warned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that major changes are needed in the way the war is conducted.
“What we are looking to see and hope to see here in the coming hours and days is a dramatic increase in the humanitarian assistance getting in, additional crossings opened up, and a reduction in the violence against civilians and certainly aid workers,” National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told reporters.
Mahjoob Zweiri is the Director of the Gulf Studies Center at Qatar University and he talks more about this in detail.
