    I recently received a FiFISH V6 from QYSEA, a underwater drone with built in LED's and a 4K camera, enabling me to explore wrecks that are close to the shore. This will add an exciting new element to come of my shipwreck stories, but while we're waiting, I wanted to take it out for a spin. Not only is this a test run, but we explore the curious history of a collapsed railroad bridge and a Norwegian sailing vessel that grounded in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
    The QYSEA FiFISH V6 can be found at www.qysea.com/products/fifish...
    While this is not a paid sponsorship, it does include merchandise I received for free in exchange for being featured in dive videos.

    I don't know how to explain this, but your videos give me a true wonder of the world. It's both so mundane and awesome, in the most literal sense of inspiring awe. A simple ghost town has its story to tell, lives that started and ended there, a history as important to the locals as the history of large cities is for them. It gives a great appreciation of the world.

      I agree. The way these videos are presented seem very classic in their approach, for a lack of a better word. It's very inspiring and encourages the idea of exploring the hidden parts of the world. It can be all too easy to lose that sense of wonder and curiosity in the shadow of life's daily grind.

    Looks exciting! If I'm reading the product right it can go 330 ft? That opens up a lot of possibilities! :D With this resolution, and clear enough conditions, you could probably sweep along a wreck and create a complete panoramic view of it!

    • @sirboomsalot4902
      @sirboomsalot4902 Рік тому +6

      Heck, with 330 feet he could reach Andrea Doria and even Lusitania (it would be pushing it though). They also have a version which can go like 490 feet deep, which is in the territory of the Britannic.

    • @ohlawdy6855
      @ohlawdy6855 Рік тому

      @@sirboomsalot4902 Even with 330, if the seafloor is 400ft and Britannic is 94ft wide, the 330ft cable would still touch the hull, and definitely at least have a clear view of the ship from overhead.

    In the 1970s across from Shore Rd. (down below Fairbanks St.) and near one of the pylons of the bridge there was a large wreck, a steel/iron hulled ship, I seem to remember the hull as black and the number 572 was painted on her side...I have a slide of it somewhere, I'm sure. It wasn't the SS Daisy, that was used later for infill. I don't know when it disappeared, after I left the City.

    If it was me piloting that underwater drone, I would definitely try to do a 50 or so foot squared sweep of the area outside of each side of the wreck. Also seems like it would be worth taking out, I would probably be willing to take the unpleasant trudged out there--or possibly light swim out there lol--to get it or other parts.
    Like always, a very interesting video stuff I wish I could do. With properly identified speculation as opposed to facts, just like things should be. Pure quality.
