Despite it's unfurtunate launch, this game has to be the ultimate multiplayer star wars experience we have to date. Is sad that people is not giving it another chance, I would like to see more players coming back, is a really fun game.

One of my favorite games. It's never added to though except when a new game comes out it's put onto the main screen asking if you want this new game as a preorder. Other than that, hasn't been changed for a long while
@@Blurr_there won’t be a sequel, not from EA. The license to make Star Wars games just opened up to any publisher and isn’t exclusive to just EA anymore. There could be a different company that makes a BF3 but it’s unlikely

game bombed because of this so EA canncelled the game and said no one really wants to play star wars games. Then made everything free and got rid of loot boxes, When they did this the game BLEW up

I've recently also come back to BF2, and my experience was amazing! its such a tragedy that it lost support from the devs. Glad its getting the recognition it deserves!
I got my dad into this game back in 2019 and he fell in love instantly, it’s so sad that they announced the game will be not receiving any more updates and I’m sure we are not the only ones who are down about that due to the fact that there are SO SO SO many updates the community would’ve loved. I won’t be surprised if this game doesn’t get a third instalment but then again I would love for that to happen.
Battlefront 3 is not at all a priority for EA, which is stupid. it's very likely it won't be made (again, just like OG BF3).
You should try the custom servers and mods
They lost interest when the game lost pay to play. That is the tragedy of it all
Honestly, I do respect the fact that EA and DICE tried. I really, really do.. but in all seriousness? I (along with many others.) would've been much happier with a proper remake/remaster, of the original games. Don't mess with the gameplay, content, etc. Just make it look great. They got some stuff right, graphical detail, etc. But they totally screwed up in most of the other areas. Sure, we got some kind of "instant action" mode, later in the games life cycle? But at that point, I feel like it was too little, too late.
Hopefully one day, another developer somehow gains the rights to the OG battlefront games, somehow. So we get a proper remaster.
Probably won't happen? But hey, a guy can dream.
@@BeardGuy-vz8tn they didn't really try though. the game got canned before it was done finishing, Ahsoka Windu and others could and should have appeared. if the live service was still active, BF2 2017 would easily be the best Star Wars game ever, far better than the originals.
For those new to the game, try out co-op first. It’s a great way to get to grips with everything, plus easy to find a game and level stuff up. It’s what me and my friends play most of the time to just have a good time. 🍻
Most interesting game mode in my opinion. It gives some Dungeon Crawler and overall it feels nice to fight mobs.
The other game modes feel more.... Mild. This are some déjà-vu gameplay and it does not give that much satisfaction

I have fun whenever I hop on this game. Just wish more people played it because finding lobbies can be difficult depending on time of day/week

really, in my experience it is a game with one of the lowest wait times for lobbies, at least compared to other games I play

as an almost day 1 player i share your opinion and this game is one of the most amazing and epic game i ever played and it seems the game is getting his players back even after a few years you can still find a game pretty fast you just got a new sub thx for the content

I have 885 hours in this game and loved every minute of it despite it being almost 5 years old it sure beats a lot of newer titles out today

I started playing BF2 after a long break and was so happy to find that lobbies were full and still had familiar chaos in matches. I absolutely love this game.
This game is really fun. I play it very often, but you either get a very pleasant experience or very sweaty competition

@@omarluna7106 yeah I live in Texas, some nights are really great. I don’t know why but I have this weird thing about playing as the droids, I love being the clone boys instead so that cuts my search by 50%

I had the game for a long time, just didint get to playing it that much, I just started playing again just a week ago and I am loving it, i cant stop playing, only remark i would say would be the very leveled and experienced players that give u a rough time from time to time.
I'm 56 and this is my favorite game ever, As a matter of fact my son always says why don't you play something else and I tell him what else is there there's nothing else.
So history lesson for those that didn’t experience it: I kept up with this (and the first dice battlefront) since launch and was it a roller coaster of expectation vs reality and…waiting. This game got a lot of its updates in late 2018 and 2019 when the clone wars stuff was added. The crew left behind to make the live service for this game put everything they could in the time they had…and alot of us have a community around that live service.
Lot of balancing…lot of broken stuff (Greivous and anakin)…but it all added up to this in the end…and it wasn’t done…but EA told DICE to put their pencils down and it was over.

This game is awesome, I’ve been playing since early 2020. I have spent almost 30 days of time playing this game, and it is very realistic. It is sad to see the player counts lower and I feel like there was more to add after the developers stopped creating more content.
I am so happy to see people making content on Battlefront 2. I love this game! I have played quite a few rounds of supremacy that went on for several hours each. I play on PS4 and the wait times haven’t really become much longer. Still a lot of people playing on PS.

On console there is basically zero lobbies on supremacy, blast, missions, any of the star fighter modes, galactic assault or the horror mode that basically turns the Ewoks into demonic teddy bears that want to eat you alive, Ewok hunt. The only modes that have people still playing them are the hero modes and co-op modes. The hero modes are extremely sweaty and the co-op modes are really annoying because the bots in this game always camp objectives, sit at the edge of the map on top of a mountain using a sniper and straight up have aimbot, so the offline modes are the only ones that I play. The campaign is absolute garbage, but arcade mode (offline blast with customization) is fun and instant action (which is most of the online modes but with bots) is actually really good. It lets you customize the bots a little so instead of being obnoxious campers with aimbot like in the co-op mode, you can make the bots act more like real players (very dumb players but still kinda like players) so it literally just feels like in the instant action modes your in the middle of a war zone instead of a soulless simulation full of swearing 9 year olds. (if you couldn't tell that right there is a reference to a majority of Call Of Duty games)

Honestly I played way too much PvP in that game. Co-Op is where the real fun is. Anything against AI bots is fun to me.

I have been playing this game the most since the time it came on psplus for free. Started on ps4 and now on ps5 still I am playing.
It’s an awesome game, runs smooth, good game modes, multiplayer is mostly consistent and dedicated online community. Although it lags sometimes, but overall super enjoyable. I haven’t got bored of it from around 2 1/2 years of playing.
People. Hop on the game. Seriously. It’s such an amazingly fun game. Absolute Star Wars dream.
I loved this game back in 2021 when I played. What killed it for me as a PC player is all of the lobbies that were unplayable because they were hacked, meaning no one could kill each other. Eventually, it got to the point where it was happening so often that I just gave up.
Love the starfighter part, reminds me of Rogue Squadron from back in the day. Not sure why they made Squadrons without a third person perspective
Best part in my opinion is just the sheer amount of mods available, the game alone is stunning in my opinion, and the mods just make it phenomenal

I play this at night every now and then to fully immerse myself into another universe. This game is still really good, and I feel like I'm a kid playing the original BF2 again. If you google Battlefront 2 events, the have different events to make the game more interesting. The best is double XP so you can progress to get the most out of a class super easy!
How active are the servers for this game

I played this game a few years ago on PS being a fan of Star Wars and I was really surprised about how much fun I had... even in Coop just grining the skill points... I'm about to buy it again on PC because I really do miss it

Coming back after years and years of not playing whatsoever, wow did they really make it incredible once they were able to add in what should have been there on release. Looks beautiful, plays incredible, and I hate to do it, but I’ve got to give EA credit for this one. The game is both shamelessly simple and complex at the same time. Playing a lightsaber hero in supremacy feels like a souls game on crack, and hero battles feel more like overwatch tdm than a battlefield game mode.
Couldn’t agree more. The game is far from perfect. But when compared to launch it’s amazing it was able to get where it did. Was just playing it today and still hop on frequently.
And to clarify I’ve been with this game since it’s launch in 2017. I’ve experienced it through everything and still find enjoyment out of it. Still holding onto hope for a battlefront 3
The game has co-op, that means it's unkillable unless there are less than four dudes playing online. Dice outdone themselves here, co-op MP progression should be a staple on every FPS game so you can still grind for whatever u may want even after the community gets reduced to some diehard fans
The campaign is decent, and quite fun tbh. Co op is also my favourite mode and you can grind characters in it

While I disagree with the fact that Battlefront 2 is great in 2022 (Player since 2017-very early 2022, 1400 hours) I can't help but root for these videos because I want to make sure that we as a community show that we dislike EA for stopping service on BF2, and basically making a shell of what could have been the greatest star wars game to date.
How strange, I recently hopped back on battlefront 1 but found myself getting a little bored so thought...mine as well buy the new one real quick and see how cool it is... Crazy so many other people are kind of doing the same thing at the same time in their life.
I still like Star Wars Battlefront Ultimate Edition from 2015 better. It actually has a lot more to offer

Unpopular opinion but the game was fixed relatively early on and was amazing, the dev team was dedicated and EA pulled the plug.
I missed this game it’s so upsetting that EA had to do this amazing game like that, they absolutely abandoned it and Scarif as a final update was horrible as a base update it would have been amazing but as it’s last is so sad Dice had so much planed for this game I still remember the day I saw one of the battlefront UA-cams battlefront, night made a video about how the game was ending and I was so sad and a bunch of other UA-camrs lost Contin because the game ended it’s was so sad and EA are just total idiots they said they want to work on other projects even though battlefront two is their most famous game, and everyone loves it and wants more this is why I am excited for Fallen Order 2 and others Star Wars games to snuff out the bad reputation of EA
Star wars squadron and sw BF 2 are amazing, underrated games, with very nice and good skill cap on both games ( for the part of dogfight, naturaly squadron is better, the solo is very nice and the multi is awesome. And you re right, BF is excellent, so much details, quality on all part of the game.)

Capital supremacy will always be my favorite mode but galactic assault is a close second cause of the star fighters

If you really like this game, id suggest getting into the milsim side of it. I joined one and it makes it alot more fun for me personally. You even got killed by a member, which i was surprised i saw one appear.

Love this game, still play as it's always fun. Playability is outstanding
the only problem I have with the game is losing your footing on some of the terrain.
I will be honest and say that I uninstalled once and almost a second on account of being overwhelmed by PVP. I played the storyline before I'd given up completely and now I'm at the point where I'd given in to one of the numerous request to join a milsim (military simulation). It's not bad and most of the people are cool and chill, so can't complain. It's nice to be in an environment where Star Wars is appreciated and not mandatory.

This is my go to game. Once I started playing at 120fps on the XSX. I can't go back to 60fps. It's the best star wars imo.
Honestly the 2v2 and 4v4 is the least fun thing for me. The big battles are/were great, but the lack of depth to the combat feels like it hurts the game tremendously. If the combat system for at least saber fighting was closer to that of fallen order it could be so much better.
Saber combat is actually one of the most enjoyable aspects of the game, especially once you get good and can go on 80+ kill streaks with saber heroes consistently
The reason that you found no use for credits was likely because you got the celebration edition of the game, which gives you everything that you would have to buy yourself with the credits
I think it's sad that it doesn't get updates anymore, it's such a good game, but it gets boring after a while
I couldn't find a server to play in, downloaded the game, waited around *40 MIN* for a lobby to come together and not enough people would show up to start a game, a shame. I really wanted to try.

I recently purchased the game again on my Ps5 since there are not that many good online shooters got it for just $10 and having a blast all over again!
The graphics hold up very well apart from a few heroes like Anakin, Obiwan and Dooku (somewhat)

I find that around maybe 3 o'clock in the morning Eastern standard time is when everyone tends to get off only to get back on 5 hours later.
best thing about the battle points and reinforcements is you could be playing poorly and still have an opportunity to play those classes.
Only just discovering this game now and I'm falling in love with it ahahaha. I've been a long time sw fan, however the launch of this game put me off. Glad the controversy got sorted eventually. For the Republic!

Tried on and off to play this game over the years and it’s still pretty terrible in my opinion. Some people like it but here’s how every match goes from my experiences:
HvV: You WILL go up against a team of high level players or low level players 4/5 matches. A 4v4 quickly becomes 4v3 and so on the second a team is down by 5 or so. I honestly can’t blame them because you’re either up against a mostly max team or players who are new. Both leave when they start losing and don’t want to waste 15min doing so. Rarely are matches close.
Supremacy: Matches can be fun, but usually games last for 45min or so and it’s actually not that fun when the game is fair and teams are equal. You’ll usually leave at this point and didn’t really feel like you accomplished anything. Call me crazy but I prefer a match to be 60/40 not 50/50 so that it can still be fun without a stalemate or a steamroll.
Hero Showdown: You WILL fight Max players who BREATHE this game and you WILL wait if the team becomes unbalanced after some guy leaves before Round 2 starts. Even though it should just let you 1v1 a random member of the other team then refill your health for fighting the other guy if you win.
GA: You WILL be put on a losing team unless the game feels charitable. Usually this is because that team is getting steamrolled and spots open up. Want to take out Walkers of any kind? Well your team better be good because that WILL rarely happen from my experience on both sides. If either team is decent, the walkers won’t go down.
Small stuff I’ve noticed:
-The clones WILL win on Geonosis unless half of the team runs a Heavy.
-Anakin’s abilities WILL freeze up.
-Shoulder Charge and BB-8 Roll WILL freeze at some point.
-Players WILL duplicate heroes and you WILL be told it’s fair if you message them.
-Vaders Choke WILL give your camera a seizure, much like BF 2015.
-My final issue with the game is the overall lack of engagement. It just feels like there’s rarely anything surprising about it. I get the classes are meant to make you more objective focused, but I do miss the craziness that BF 2015 had to offer. A terrible player could pick up a hero token, come to fight you and you kill them and it would make your night. Now it just feels like if a MAX anything is going against you you may as well not even try.
P.S. - The “WILL” is like the games rules. These events will essentially happen to anyone who plays the game so they may as well come up on the tips scre

appart from hackers, unstable servers, and general toxicity among players, I agree. (this is mostly true of PC spesifically)

The game is great. It just feels unfinished in some aspects you could say unreached potential. I think they could have added more heros and villains and more cosmetics/emotes for them. Also more armor types for the troops. I like the phase 1 clone trooper and I feel there is a lackluster amount of phase one skins.

This game was dope even at launch i mean i know i had a great experience playing it then and so did others at least enough for ppl to keep playing and stuff and honestly i just remember the pure joy of playing it and being so amazed
I have 931 hours in this game and i still love it i play it almost everyday, however it can be extremely competitive many players are very sweaty (including me lol) so keep that in mind ;)
this is the same for me. i Grinded it on xbox and redownloaded it on pc. Such a blast
