- In Ohio this morning I came across two dusty, old shoeboxes containing baseball and basketball cards and was pretty surprised once I started looking through them!

The best cards in the BBall box were the Marvel cards, by far. That little stack, if they're in good shape should sell for $3.00 to $10.00 each.

I would've bought those boxes just for the joy of digging through them. As for money value I'm not sure cause I don't know anything about basketball cards. But with all the big names you pulled I would assume you got your money's worth. Might be worth checking on those mid 90s Jason Kidd cards. One of them might be his rookie idk.

I'm in the Ozarks and picked up 89 fleer complete set for 12 bucks yesterday, hopefully Griffey Jr and Billy Ripken are still in there !
Fun to dig! I have tons of those cards penny sleeved in boxes since the 90s. Marvel are good cards and anything Jordan is always worth a top loader in my opinion.
That Jordan Fleer Sharpshooter card has some value

Those 1995 Fleer Ultra X-Men cards are from a really nice set. Used to love them as a kid. Specifically the '95 set; other years aren't as good. I've been wanting to snag a hobby box and try to at least put together the entire base set. Would like to pickup the Wolverine binder for them as well. Prices are pretty high though. And I'm not too sure how prevalent stickiness is with that set. Would hate to drop hundreds on a box and end up with bricks.

The 1990-91 Hoops #223 Sam Vincent card features Michael Jordan wearing the number 12 jersey. His Jersey got stolen before the game only time he never wore 23 or 45 on his comeback

I enjoy watching your videos as a fellow collector who likes to frequent garage sales etc hunting for cards. You're right, at first glance that first shoebox just looked like it contained a bunch of 80's junk wax cards but then that Thurman Munson cup card and some good other cards were in there. Definitely worth the $5. It's too bad that a lot of the cards weren't in better condition but that's what you often get from garage sale or flea market shoebox finds.
There were people actually referring to Phil Plantier as the "next Carl Yastrzemski" back in the day.

I think the baseball box made back more than the basketball. Which is surprising to be cause the baseball cards were pretty worn. Basketball cards looked like they were from the high production years and basically commons even if the names were well known.
I'm about 90% certain that was not belly button lint but was in fact toe jam
You scored big on them baseball cards just the graded cards in that basketball box alone it's worth more than $15 a piece good finds in there you hit it out of the ballpark with them two boxes
Although I feel the belly button lint was the high point and I was hoping for a stink bug appearance, it's all good. I love these random box looks as I enjoy going through the old stuff even if there's no hits. Just going through the past is fine with me and if I find something good, even better. I definitely would have bought them boxes just to look for any Chamberlain cards. Even if there was none in there you could make your money back. I do like that Gambit cards. I have a lady death just like that. Got it out of a wizard magazine back in the day.
