    HINT: I have watched another vid of this same brand of litter box. I got one today. the other video shows why one should NOT use the sifting pan as the main litter pan, contrary to the brands pictorial instructions. Its bc if the cat poops/pees in the litter directly sitting ON the sifting pan, the fecal/urine matter gets pushed ie STUCK into the slots by the cat walking on the sifter pan. So he demonstrates that the white sifter pan should b put INBETWEEN both blue pans as a TOOL only, not a continuous mainstay. so the litter is placed in the BLUE pan, then when u want to CLEAN the litter pan, you separate all 3 pans, place the white sifter pan on top of the empty blue pan, pour the dirty litter onto/thru the white sifter pan, collect the used litter, put in garbage, then rearrange the pans in the start pattern. Prevents the cat pushing crud INTO the sifter holes, jamming it to make a mucky mess! ENJOY!!

      I can see how that would work pretty well doing it that way, thanks for the insight, I'll have to try that!

    This is the one I’ve been looking for. I think this is what I’m gonna use with my sifting litter box

      We purchased two of them and they work well for sure. Our kitty cats took a bit to adjust to the pine litter, but all is well now and it was totally worth it!

    Just started using Pine pellets today after review a lot of vids. Do have the Arm an Hammer sifter boxes. Leaving one as clay only for now and the other I'm starting off with 25% pellet to remaining of clay until my too babies get familiar with pine pellets. House already smells a heck of a lot better. Going to save me buckoo bucks as well since a 40lb bag of pine pellets just cost $7.65 after tax at Tractor Supply Company whereas a $40lb box of Arm an Hammer Multicat cost over $21 after tax at Wal-Mart. Supposedly pellets will require much less use as well, so I'm hoping my cats will like it since cost of everything is not going down. lol
    :)

      That's awesome, thanks for sharing! Yes, we started mixing the pine with the clay, going 25-75, then 50-50, then 75-25, then 100% pine over the course of about 2 months. It was an adjustment period for sure, but now, totally glad we switched over. You're correct, it costs a lot less (for those who aren't near a tractor supply and want to try pine, here it is on Amazon amzn.to/3u5nAmM it just costs right much more). And yep! Best part is the smell and the fact that there's not clay litter all over my floor :)

      @@my-honest-review They took to the pine blend immediately, so I just went full pine today. Kept the other two containers as is for now and they haven't really used the clay so that made my day. Haven't had to scoop up soft poo yet, though. lololololol
      My house smells wonderfully pine now; hope soon, the clay dust goes down, too. :)

      @@lylek8933 Awesome! What we do with the solid waste (unless too soupy!) is just lightly fish it out with a poop scoop and flush it. Seems to work!

      @@my-honest-review Afraid to flush wood pulp even though, if you think about it, that's what paper is. lol
      As a side note, my trash bin never smelled better. lol

      @@lylek8933 very true, I try hard not to allow but just a tad of those pine pellets to get flushed at a time. If the poop is hard enough most time the pine pellets just fall off of it and don't cling to it as I'm trying to fish it out. When in doubt, I just throw it away with the pee pee saw dust.

      Glad it was helpful, thanks for watching. If you are new to kitty cats, one other piece of advice I may offer you is to get them onto a flea protection regimen. Here's a video I did on that a while ago ua-cam.com/video/46nS_g49dag/v-deo.htmlsi=C_xdveHEcvG4QzEy And here's a video we did on the food we use as well ua-cam.com/video/WSLsciw-eZk/v-deo.htmlsi=lFZ41h1rraiAs2St Good luck in your cat journey, they are so rewarding :)

    When I was searching for information on changing to a pine pellet sifting litter system I found your review. It's great, thank you. I thought the suggestion for using cardboard was good. I cut some cardboard from the delivery box. I had gotten an Arm & Hammer box but I found that when I put the cardboard in there was absolutely no clearance space between the sifting pan and the underpan. So much so that it couldn't be clipped with the clips that came with it. I guess that is not important. But I did want to ask you if with the brand of box you got is there more space between the levels? I would appreciate any comment or suggestions you can give me.

      Hi Rebecca, thanks for the comment. Yes, there is enough clearance between the levels, and what I have now found to work even better than cardboard is pee pads that you can get on Amazon. Like these here: www.amazon.com/live/video/0a3d9b3152e1437ba86be9ae4fa3c03d?ref=cm_sw_al_DVZhIShXHGITJ You can cut these down and make 4 pads out of one to fit the size litter pan we reviewed. Hands down, the best advice I can give is to clean the litter pan at least once a day, better morning and night if you have time.

      Thank you for your feedback. I ended up purchasing the Breeze XL litter box for my 3 cats and it’s working very well with the pine pellets. I still have the original smaller Arm & Hammer pan that I keep out on my porch for them and I found that 2 layers of local community newspaper works very well with it. Easy clean up that way.
      And I have found that when using the pine pellets it is good to clean the sawdust out at least once a day. The Breeze system came with their own expensive pellets. I tried them and absolutely did not like it. That product is not environmentally healthy and sustainable as is the pine pellets. I am fortunate to own my own home with woods on the property where I am able to throw out the sawdust. That cannot be done with the Breeze litter. It’s pretty weird stuff I think.

    The slot openings on the sifting pan look large enough to let the pine litter pellets slip through to the lower pan or maybe get stuck in the slot openings. Does this happen?😊

    • @my-honest-review
      @my-honest-review  Рік тому +2

      The large pellets do not fall thru until they get wet, and then sometimes you have to just push it thru with your scooper at that point. We love it, wish we had discovered it earlier for sure.

    This wouldn't work the same way with clay clumping litter.. you'd want to sift out the no used litter to the bottom pan and toss away the chunks.
    ... and I would NOT recommend doing that because of the crazy amount of dust you'd release.

    • @my-honest-review
      @my-honest-review  Рік тому

      Yes, what I have found is that this type of litter pan works best with the pine litter. We are trying to get away from all that dust with traditional clay litter. Thanks for the feedback!
