True Lies is a great action comedy movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis, I think you would really like it Bisscute 👍
James Cameron made True Lies because Last Action Hero was a bomb & Arnold was depressed & thought his career was finished
That was a fun movie you watched the road runner cool, I've always liked Arnold's accent but i loved yours, Arnold youses a lot of one liners he gets to the point hes kinda funny nice reaction biss
Curtis was one sweet piece of ... back in her day.
@@roberormonde Blow me.
true lies is the best arnie movie besides t2 !!
"COMMANDO" (1985) is my favorite Arnie movie. Once the action starts (within the first 5 minutes) it doesn't stop.
It's such a romantic period-piece!
Even back in the 90's when this move came out, most people didn't catch on that this movie was almost 100% satire. It was basically a spoof of all the action films of the 80's. Arnold was kind of making fun of himself and other action movie actors lol
Disdained by critics and fans upon release, this wonderful satire became a cult classic in later years. One of Arnie's most underrated films. I loved it as a child.
I saw it when it came out and I have no idea why people hated it so much. It rocked then, it rocks now.
This movie is so meta it was meta before meta was even a thing 😅
They didn't know how to market this film, and that probably ended up preventing it from being a huge hit, but the writing was really quite brilliant.
@@neil2444 the writing is **okay**. Wish they'd found something more clever than a "magic" ticket. The biggest issue was it opened against Jurassic Park, which destroyed it at the box office.
The movie failed at the box office, but has aged amazingly well and it now a cult classic of the genre. I love how much the movie pokes fun at all of it and is so very meta today.
its a fun movie indeed, surprised to hear it failed at box office
🤔 It failed at the box office? I mean, I just looked it up. It cost $85 million to make but it generated $137.3 million in revenue.
@@lazyperfectionist2 I believe movies break even after 2.5 times the cost of production, because there are marketing costs and the cinema gets a share of the money too, not all revenue goes to the studio...
Two days to retirement" and sax theme, with the cop on a palm tree, is a reference to a Lethal Weapon)
p.s. and Charles Dance is amazing as always)
Murray Abraham (the bad cop guy) played Salieri in the movie Amadeus, where he basically kills Mozart. The kid was referencing that movie when he said he killed Mozart.
This movie is a pure gold satire and it was way ahead of its time. But you need to know and appreciate all the 80s and early 90s action movie tropes to fully understand it. The humor was the way it was EXACTLY because of that. It was a satirical take on the humor and corny one-liners of THOSE movies... It's too meta and if you're not familiar with movies of that era, it's really hard to get
Now you need to watch True Lies.
I think the biggest problem for anyone not overly familiar with most action films of the 80s and 90s is a lot of the injokes are lost on them. It's still a great film, with a banging soundtrack (Megadeth, AC/DC, Def Leppard and Tesla etc) but it has a deeper meaning for anyone who was obsessed with that era of action films.
Hell, look at the scene where he first enters the police station with the kid. We see Sharon Stones character from Basic instinct and the Robert Patricks T1000 for Terminator 2, and you would only get that if you know the movies.
Yeah, being a kid who grew up on these movies, I liked it a lot, and while I didn't exactly identify with Danny even back in '93, he was relatable in his knowledge of action movie tropes.
Does anyone else notice that Death is played by Gandalf the Black? :D
@@gnericgnome4214 You mean Magneto, surely 🤣
👀Kindergarten Cop (1990) & Twins (1988)
At 44min, the guy with the French accent is Jean Claude Van Damme, also a popular martial artist, action hero in his own movies.
And some of them are actually really good.
For another over-the-top action film from this time, I would highly recommend "The Last Boy Scout", with Bruce Willis and Damon Wayans, and I think it was Halle Berry's first role in a major picture. A LOT of quotable moments from that film.
Did you miss the T2 walking out the door the same time Arnold and the kid walked into the Police Station. Robert Patrick who was the Terminator in the 2nd movie.
Also Sharon Stone was outside to police station lighting a cigarette, a reference to Basic instinct
Megadeth - Angry again in the intro
Charles Dance is perfect, as usual
You mean Benedict. He's been hopping from movie to movie for years - the perfect uncatchable villain.
How do I know? Well, you never saw a body, did you?
Brother Numsie? :)
@@KsinDax ...and Tywin Lannister
when you ROLLED YOUR EYES that was PERFECT! 🤣 really enjoyed your reaction 👍☺
MADALINA 30:37 -- ANTHONY QUINN actor (the older gangster with hat and glasses, at the rooftop funeral) was in movies from the 1940's - 1990's. Popular movies were ZORBA THE GREEK (1964), GUNS OF NAVARONE (1961). He was a two-time Academy Award winner.
(Thanks - Dave Strong)
And he was a Mexican actor
@@alejandromartinez1766 Both of Quinn's parents were Mexican, but his dad had an Irish father, so I don't know if he spoke English as a child or started English when his family moved to Texas ... I'm an old movie fan so I've seen Anthony Quinn in a lot of movies but Zorba and Navarone are his most well known movies. -- I'm hoping Madalina goes back and watches those 2 movies. I always notice Movie Reactors who watch older movies (check out some of the other Movie Reactors that I'm subscribed to) - Dave Strong
Not to forget Lawrence of Arabia (1962) in that popular list.
@ I left out the older movies or where he had a smaller role (like Lawrence Arabia) and also his Italian / International movies because most people wouldn't know them ... being a WW2 movie more people know Navarone then maybe Zorba ... but more people probably know him from 1990's TV ... most Americans now only know movies of the last 20 years (too bad)
And as Zeus in "Hercules" movies and TV show.
Didn't know what to expect with this, but it came out better than I thought. Of course I should trust that Biss makes everything better. 😀🎉
"Put that cookie down!" (Jingle All The Way)
And it's not really a classic line but I like it - "See you at the party Richter!" (Total Recall)
Almost there! C'mon 100K UA-cam plaque woo hoo 🏆
Getting there slowly but surely
@BissFlix 💜
I just realized this is like watching movies with my wife😂
To be, or not to be. Not to be . favorite moment ))
This movie has an awesome soundtrack.
THANKS FOR REACTION
Best Arnold movie by far is Total Recall (1990)
Yep! Just commented the same thing, hopefully she gets to see it, I can’t believe she hasn’t reacted to The Lord of the Rings, also she only just done Silence of the Lambs!
I love this movie ❤
Thank you for reacting to it.
I absolutely love your reactions ❤
Hello Miss Biss!😊 Yep, that was The Roadrunner who made the "Meep, Meep" sounds. He was partial to bird seed, and was chased by Wile E. Coyote. That is funny that Arnold says he will wait for The Governor (of California), which would be him years later.😄 Great reactions to this lighthearted actions/comedy, MB!!!!🎬👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
So glad that you enjoyed it. When it came out audiences & critics were not ready for the over the top corny parady that it was & wanted it to be another typical 80's action movie with some comedy bits.
"True Lies" is a must see for an Arnold movie that gets the action/comedy mix right.
Dear Miss Bisscute, some fun facts or information for you about the movie: Planet Hollywood was a chain of restaurants with films memorabilia of which Arnold, Stallone, and Bruce Willis are supposed to have been partners. The man they interview on the red carpet (minute 44:42) is Jean Claude Van Damme, popular action film actor in the 80's and 90's and martial artist. (by the way you should react to his films Universal Soldier (1992) and Bloodsport (1988)). The T 1000 from Terminator 2 appears at the police station and also Sharon Stone in the role she played in the film Basic Instinct (1992). You should react for it.
This is a fun movie.
For more Arnold: The Villain (1979), Raw Deal (1986), Red Heat (1988), Twins (1988), Kindergarten Cop (1990), and True Lies (1994) are just a few suggestions you might enjoy.
I love this movie! I've watched it several times, the last one was a couple of months ago :D
You wanna be a farmer, here's a couple of acres is one or the best lines I've ever heard 😂❤
This was a fun movie. You watch the road runner Cool, I've always.
Liked the Arnold's accent. But I love yours, Arnold uses a lot of one-liners. It gets to the point. Hes kind of funny. Nice reaction biss Always nice to see you. Have a good.
One.❤😊
Love you reactions, your music reactions as well. This movie is underrated.
The actress who played the daughter, Brigitte Wilson, went on to play Sonja Blade in the first Mortal Kombat movie. Originally Cameron Diaz was going to play as Sonja but she hurt herself and Brigitte Wilson had to step in to the role.
26:23 a Meme is born!!😅😂😅😂 Jajajaja
Surely you appreciate this movie more if you have seen many of his movies and grew up with Arnold, I think this movie was made after Arnold did many action movies and to not be repetitive he gave a different logic to the movie, there are not many references actually.
Only "I'll be back" is a phrase that Arnold uses very often in movies, not only in Terminator, he uses it almost always.
I think both the problem and the charm of this movie is that it's not enough to just see some movies. Even all of Arnie movies. You have to had been around, living in that era to fully appreciate it. I was born in 1980 and practically grew on movies like Commando, Cobra, Rambo, Lethal Weapon, Die Hard and many more A or B-movies of these kind. All of the tropes and type of humor that is satirized here hit right for me and that's why this is one of my favorite movies... but for person who was born in 2000s, it's really really hard to understand it
You're doing a great job. That's why we're here. 👏👏👏👍
Thank you!
True Lies is amazing. You will absolutely love it!
Nice movie. Grazie Miss Biss 🌹
20:54 “‘I’ll be back?’ It’s… It’s from _The Terminator,_ no?”
_The Terminator_ was the _first_ movie in which Arnold used that particular line, but in so doing, he managed to establish a meme for himself, and that turned it into his catchphrase.
Looks like you haven't seen _Terminator 2,_ yet. That's why you didn't pick up on the significance of Robert Patrick, at the police station. Arnold uses the line in that movie, too.
I wish Arnie was one of my grandpaS
Biss, in its time this film was very mistreated by critics, however over time it has become a cult film, there are other classic Arnold films that you can react to and that I think you will like: Total Recall (1990), True Lies (1994), Twins (1988) Conan (1982), The Running Man (1987). Loved your reaction as usual Miss Bisscute thanks for this one❤❤❤
btw, Mr Death is Gandalf from LOTR!! Ian McKellen. You're welcome
I saw this movie in theatres when it came out, thought it was great. Couldn't understand why it was criticized and failed but it has come into its own. Glad to see , it's a deserving film. Thanks for reacting to it 😊👍‼️
Well, that was time well spent. 🤔
Try Arnold's movies "Total Recall" (1990) and "True Lies" (1994).
👍
Excelente reaccion Bisscute 😎💪🏽
Thank you so much
Great movie!! Lets goooo!! 🤣😂💪😎💪
Charles Dance is fantastic in this 😁
I love how Danny spends half the movie trying to explain things to Jack, while Jack just flat-out disregards piece after piece of empirical evidence like he's somehow disabled and now I'm having a panic attack.
4:59, 😢 RIP Joan Plowright. The "joke" of her featuring here was that she was married to Sir Lawrence Olivier. Flew over 99% of heads, I suspect.
I've always loved this movie it is very underrated
I'm always happy to be here supporting your content it's always worth it🫶great movie reaction😁
My fav Arnold movies: this one, Conan the Barbarian, Terminator 1 and 2, Jingle All The Way, Total Recall, Commando, Predator.
Wassup Bisscute love your videos and can't wait for more 😊😊
Another popular Arnold line is from Kindergarten Cop, he said he had headache and one of the kids said it might be s tumor, Arnie's iconic response It's not a tumor
Oh, might have to check out that movie someday
This movie has such a soft spot in my
Hamlet (1996) directed by and starring Kenneth Branagh (among many, MANY others) is fantastic. :) Unlike most or all the Hamlet movies, it actually has every line from the play by William Shakespeare. The movie is four hours long. xD
Good fun movie Arnie in form especially with his one liners. Good reaction. BEEP BEEP I'll BE BACK!♥
"I really iced that guy, to cone a phase.."
the movie Death comes out of is The Seventh Seal by Ingmar Bergman, which you should definitely watch :) It's in Swedish though, so youll need subtitles
It's not just Arnold movies. It's poking fun at action movies in general lol. It's almost nostalgic.
Some great lines! Get into the Choppa! Commando, The Bridge is Out - True Lies, it's not a Tuma!! - Kindergarten Cop, Conan The Barbarian movies, Total Recall - what the f****
Thanks
4:58 “Shakespeare’s _Hamlet_ _couldn’t_ be more exciting.”
“Um, I do agree, Shakespeare is exciting.”
He _can_ be, when he’s presented the right way. At least in the US, we tend to do it wrong. You take a college course in this country in which he and his work will be a subject, they give you a printed copy of a _script_ he wrote, as if he were a _novelist,_ and when you read this script, his prose usually comes across as awkwardly _archaic._
But you watch a movie _based_ on that play, with the lines delivered by good actors, and they become _poetic._
5:32 “Don’t talk. Just _do_ it.”
“😄 They have to deliver the _lines._ What do you mean ‘Don’t talk?’”
I’m sayin’. Shakespeare passed away in 1616, more than 408 years ago. Nothing he wrote has been changed _since_ then, so if someone is going to do justice to something he wrote, they will make an attempt to stick to the original script. That means delivering the _lines_ in the script. This is the way he wrote it, _completely_ unaware that motion pictures would come along, one day.
I know you haven't seen a lot of Arnold Schwarzenegger films but I feel you got the gist of it. You laughed and reacted at all the appropriate moments. This wasn't just poking fun at Arnold Schwarzenegger films. It was poking fun at action films of that era in general and I feel you've probably seen enough action films to get it. Great reaction, Biss!
The song at 8:58 is called Angry Again. It was recorded by Megadeth exclusively for this movie. You should check it out!
Oh nice
this is the best arnold movie. this is the first arnold movie i saw at my friends house in 1994. good times.
Nice, thanks for watching
Arnold's first role was in Hercules In New York. It's worth a watch.
This movie was ok, but your reaction was fantastic! You had me rolling with you snarky remarks. Great times Biss!
Glad you enjoyed it
Arnold's best dramatic/non-action movie is Maggie. He plays the father of a girl who is turning into a zombie.
"I've never seen Jason!" I recommend Jason and the Argonauts cos that was thte title of the movie in the paper he was reading.
Thanks for the recommendation
“Get to the choppeeer!!!”
I think the thing about this movie is that it opens your imagination. Seeing it as a kid always made me think of what movies I would have liked to visit and how I would have affected the plot. My number 1 choice was the Star Wars movies. :D
Love this movie. Also love the fact that back then, the soundtrack gave me a way to get the MTV 10th Anniversary version of Dream On. I also enjoyed Angry Again by Megadeath. It was a pretty good soundtrack overall.
"Rubber baby buggy bumpers!!: Best movie line EVER lol Also, Last Action Hero bombed, BUT it has an amazing OST!! Arnold thought it was a good idea to make a movie making fun of his movies/movie style...the masses/critics didn't think so 😢
Planet Hollywood was a chain of restaurants highlighting movie and memorabilia etc.. they were around for awhile, then the people lost interest and the chain fall apart etc
@44:50 at the movie premier - that's Jean-Claude VanDamme
The movie is all about making fun of itself. Always I enjoyed watching the movie with you, M xoxo "Be seeing you" (which a line from an old TV show 🙃).
Glad you enjoyed the reaction
Thank you 😊 beautiful queen 👑 for the reaction ❤
Yeah, one movie that should be seen before this one, is "Amadeus". It's not even an Arnold movie but it's referenced because of a shared actor in both
True Lies is a fantastic Arnold movie! Kindergarten Cop, Commando and Total Recall are a few others!
Thanks for the suggest
I loved this movie!
44:47 That was Jean-Claude Van Damme Biss. You should watch some of his movies like Bloodsport, Double Impact, Universal Soldier, Hard Target and Timecop.
The commitments film has a great soundtrack. Also Cocoon was a good sci fi movie.
Fun one, Miss Biss! I actually think Arnold does a pretty good job with comedy You might enjoy Kindergarten Cop with Arnold working undercover as a kindergarten teacher. Thanks for sharing this one. I always love the exploding ice cream truck, LOL!
Great suggestion!
This is a very fun movie!
I find the kid character rather annoying, but the film itself is rather fun, even if I don't really seek it out. Charles Dance is definitely the one that helps this movie the most, in my opinion.
This was a pretty good one in the lineup of Arnold comedy movies. You might like Twins or Kindergarten Cop too.
Kindergarden Cop is another good Arnold movie. He said he liked to alternate between an action movie and a comedy.
Oh? might have to check it out sometime
There’s something rotten in Denmark, and Hamlet is taking out the trash. I really wish someone had made that movie. It would be awesome I bet 😂
Hahaha maybe in the future they will
the Hamlet scene....you mentioned modern takes on the stories...if you haven't "Romeo + Juliet" from 1996 is a masterclass of blending a classic into a modern story....and has tonnes of stars in it from the time
Got it
For another funny Arnold, go see Kindergarten Cop. It starts out very violent, but it turns really cute and sweet. And then Maggie. That one is a much later movie, and it is bitter sweet. And then Terminator Genisys, where he plays Pops, the old Terminator. Who spent a lifetime caring for little Sarah.
Yes you should see Rosemary's Baby and Hannibal from Silence of the lambs!
Got it
Aww, damn, now I want eggs benny too 😄
Necessary Arnold films: Total Recall, Running Man and Commando.
True lies
my favorite Arnold movie (besides Terminator 1 & 2) is Commando...
Watching this reaction just made me realize that Ian McKellen is the death guy
Thanks for watching
It's satire! You can't take it too seriously. If you view it with that in mind, it's actually a great movie. I'm bummed that it never gets its due.
Gotcha, thanks for watching
Honestly, 3/5 seems really generous from someone who hasn't seen any of the movies this one is making fun of. Recommending this to someone who doesn't know those films is like recommending "Scream" or "Cabin in the Woods" to someone who hasn't watched any slasher movies - of course _some_ of it will still land, but it's going to be much more satisfying for people who know the films they're spoofing.
I get that, thanks for watching

"Cloak & Dagger" (1984) had a similar concept, in which a boy's imaginary friend is a spy hero from a role-playing game. IMO, though, "The Last Action Hero" does it much better, and with more humor.
