This is one of the most popular Christmas movies here in Germany! It's almost a tradition in my family for over 33 years to watch this film at least once at Christmas time!
"If he doesn't Break..."... FUNNY STORY... When Chevy was Punching the Reindeer, He Broke a Finger! Santa doesn't put up with that! The "Rusty" in this movie was Johnny Galecki... "Dr. Leonard Hofstetter" on the TV Comedy "The Big Bang Theory"!
This movie always makes me laugh. Thanks for watching and sharing with us. Enjoy your big family. Especially this time of the year. Merry Christmas to you and your family, Biss.
Biss innocently asking *"What is queef?"* in her Dodgeball reaction is the gift that keeps on giving. I still randomly bust out laughing. 😂😂😂Merry Christmas everyone!!!
Trivia: The outdoors of the posh snotty neighbours is the same as the Murtaughs in the Lethal Weapon films. In fact, when they arrived to film all the outdoor scenes for this one, there were still props from Lethal Weapon 2 in the yard that had to be removed
It's making the rounds and I thought about it and I think the physical comedy is the best thing about it. I always notice when actors get to move around a lot more and everybody does in this. Chevy of course. The ladder and attic scenes especially. But when everyone is the background they're always doing funny things too. Even the bougie neighbors. I think that just made these funny scenes so memorable.
Merry Christmas, Bisscute !! I suppose it's 'the next day' where you're at (Romania?). l o l. Thank you for being 'you' !!! We Love You. Have a Happy New Year.
It is an amusing movie, with some very popular and often copied pieces to it, although partly because of that I think some parts haven't aged the best, personally. Really enjoyed your reaction.
Seeing this movie around 10 times a year for movie reactions makes me want to re-watch VEGAS VACATION (again). It’s good, but not enough channels react to it, like they do this one and the first one.
We have ham or roast beef on Christmas. I don't know how many Americans have turkey, but I've heard that more popular in the UK. It probably replaced goose.
Hey Hey there Miss Biss❤. I sincerely hope your Christmas was Absolutely perfect. I don't get to see every video you do a reaction to, but I enjoy every one that I can. Have a good night ❤. 😊
Not everyone has turkey for Christmas. We have fresh polish sausage and sauerkraut, ham, pierogis, and all the sides, appetizers, and deserts one could want! Many folks still celebrate with foods of their heritage. My wife’s Great Grandparents were from Lithuania and Croatia so we have some things that they had generations ago. Pretty sure that’s how it is all over USA. So many traditions and customs being celebrated At Christmas 😁
Merry Christmas, Miss Bisscute =) AND SH*TTER WAS FULL! XD ;P Playstation didn't come out until 1995 ;) You mean an AMERICAN Christmas chaos, because they were singing their national anthem ;P Beverly D'Angelo improvised the holding Chevy Chase's junk bit. She only did that in one take, but still hoped that it would be included in the final cut and it did. Chevy broke his pinky finger when punching the santa decorative which is why he went from punching to kicking and that made the cut too.
The bonus issue is essentially due a different set of worker rights systems in the US. We have...less. Typically short of executive level, like CEO, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief X Officer, Senior Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents for Specific Areas, people aren't under contract and union membership is not typical so your pay level can be changed as they wish, when they wish. At the time it was pretty standard for people with Clarke's type of position to have a bonus at Christmas as part of their overall compensation package, but there would be no legal basis for requiring it to be paid out if the company broke with tradition and decided they didn't feel like it or something.
@@Doug_M Nintendo came out in 83, released in the US in 85. Sega Genesis came out in 89, so it would have made more sense for a 1989 Christmas like this movie.
@@puremachinery I actually was in school back then. Nintendo was the thing(and I still have my stack of Nintendo power magazines). We didn't have Genesis until the early 90's.
A Hilarious film. My favorite characters are Cousin Eddie and Aunt Bethany. Favorite line: Cousin Eddie: Everytime Catherine revs up the microwave, I pee my pants and forget who I was for a half hour or so. If this plate gets dented, then my hair just aint gonna look right." 😅😅😅 If you want to see more of the Griswalds, I recommend National Lampoons Vacation (1983), Written by the late John Hughes, Directed by the late Harold Ramis, National Lampoons European Vacation (1985), great movie, best end credits and Vegas Vacation (1997), features Singer Wayne Newton. They are all great films, I highly recommend them. Mr. Shirley, Clark's Boss is played by Brian Doyle Murray, the older brother of Actor Bill Murray. Johnny Galecki, who plays Rusty Griswold in this film would go on to play Leonard Hofstetler, on The Big Bang Theory TV show. Mae Questal (Aunt Bethany) used to voice Betty Boop and Olive Oyl from the Popeye The Sailor Man cartoons. Randy Quaid (Cousin Eddie) is the older brother of Actor Dennis Quaid in real life. This film has a very stacked cast of talent. There is even more than this like Juliette Lewis (Audrey Griswold and Julia Louis Dreyfuss (Margo) and Ellen's Mom, played by Doris Roberts (Everybody Loves Raymond and "Debbie Macrombers ",Mrs. Miracle") Hope you have a Merry Christmas Bisscute!
Definitely drink eggnog ice cold. My dad keeps a couple of pewter mugs in the freezer to drink eggnog out of. I don't like it with alcohol, but I love it without alcohol.
Merry Christmas to my favorite Romanian vampire; I’m Greek Orthodox so technically it isn’t til next month but whatever, I’m so glad I found your channel this year
National Lampoon was a men's humor magazine started at Harvard University and ran from 1964-1998, and made a series of films from 1979-2010. The _Vacation_ series was written by the legendary John Hughes, starting with _National Lampoon's Vacation_ (1983), National Lampoon's European Vacation (1986), _National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation_ (1989), _Vegas Vacation_ (1997), and _Vacation_ (2015). Todd and Margo, the neighbors, are stereotypical Young Urban Professionals ("Yuppies"), snobby new money folks who have the latest things in fashion and technology and brag about it while complaining about old fashioned things. It's not explicitly said, but Clark's company is supposed to be DuPont, one of the biggest chemical companies in the US.
Great reaction Biss like always. I always laugh so hard when i see this movie and that quote "Hallelujah! Holy sh*t! Where's the Tylenol?" Omg its hillarious. There are some fun-facts about this classic. The Griswolds’ neighbor’s house is the same house Murtaugh and his family lived in all the Lethal Weapon movies. The houses on this street are on the Warner Brothers Studios back lot. The house front from Bewitched and The New Gidget appears in the home movie that Clark is watching in the attic. In the scene when the police storm into the Griswolds’ house, the song “Here Comes Santa Claus” sung by Gene Autry is used for the background music. Randy Quaid (cousin Eddie) is the third cousin of Gene Autry. According to Randy Quaid, many of cousin Eddie’s characteristics (most notably the clicking of the tongue) were based off a guy that Quaid knew from when he grew up in Texas years ago who had similar traits. When Clark is in bed trying to read the People Magazine with sticky fingers from the tree sap, the person shown on the cover of the magazine is Producer Matty Simmons. And the scene where the cat bites on the Christmas lights cord and gets electrocuted was nearly cut from the movie. Prior to the first test screening. the studio execs wanted the scene taken out, fearing that it might offend some viewers, but producer Matty Simmons begged them to leave the scene in, and they eventually gave in to his request. After the first test screening, the test audience had scored the cat electrocution scene as the No. 1 favorite scene throughout the entire movie. You need to watch the whole saga Keep up the good work.

Great choice 👍. Merry Christmas Biss.
Clarks boss is Bill Murray’s(Scrooged) oldest brother who was also in Scrooged along with Bill’s brothers John and Joel.
Had no clue about ANY of that. Thank you!!!
your love of food and the look on your face with the turkey deflated was priceless so funny lol Merry Christmas Biss & Family
