Spo’s platoons in game 1 were trust levels. Level 1 is his starters. Level 2 are the guys he trusts to play. Surprisingly, Pelle made that cut. Then the promising level 3 with the summer league guys that need to earn trust and level up. Ware’s roadmap is pretty clear.

Think they need to prioritize a ball handler in the second unit. Imma be honest, I don’t think Dru Smith is a ball handler you want in the second unit. He can’t do much with the ball. Still waiting for Highsmith to show a little improvement bc he didn’t show much. I can see him and Nasir Little fighting for minutes. At th le back up 3-4.
Highsmith is the best perimeter defender on the team guarding 1-3 n most 4s. Little probably won't get any minutes unless there's a ton of injuries. Everybody sleeps on smith
I want to see JJJ taking on that ball handling role
@dalrajsingh5451 I think we will see that. The roster is full of ball handlers, so I imagine spo lets every one of em bring up the ball n initiate
I listen to the podcast daily and I love the content. But 3:00-11:00 was a hard listen. It was long winded and basically chopped salad. Would have been more mindful and demure to Jimmy’s situation if you had watched the full episodes and asked your insider questions before bringing it to the pod.
