Billy, how did I miss this video 2yrs ago? Genuinely brought a tear to my eye. I used to fish off the hook as a lad. Threw in ten times more metal than I got back but did manage the occasional (small) fish. Watched my uncle loose a big double bass out of Roslair harbour. Those were the days, nearly 60yrs ago now. See ya on da beach lad.😊
Loving this episode mate. Mum's parents were from Wexford and Tipperary. I have many, many relatives, alive and dead in these parts. Strangely, my wife, an Aussie too , her ancestors were the Whittys from Wexford too. I guess that we have a similar outlook on life. Thanks for making and showing. 😊
Great video Billy, hoping to head out there this weekend. Praying for a couple of bass🙏🏼. Just discovered your channel and it's fantastic. Full of honest advice and you can hear the joy you get out of fishing. Keep up the great work!!👍🏻
Hi Billy, great fishing again mate, summer fishing excellent,,went to the exact place 3 year ago and damn shallow, took me a day or so to find some deep water,,the light house and the walk way through the corn field gave it away ,brought back some great memories,,thanks buddy...😉👌👌
Ah jaysus!! Down in my territory Billy! You should have gone down too Slade. If your still down in the county there are Bream being caught on the south coast and a few days ago plenty of Mackeral off the point in Rosslare Strand, this is also a good place too catch Smothhound, the odd tope and good place for Dabs or lure fishing for Bass. If your still down and looking for marks where I have had success feel free to ask
Nice one Billy, nice spot that 👌 love a black lure in coloured water also going on dusk, savage gear seeker in black does me proud for the bass, tightest of lines bro 🏴 🇮🇪 💪

Going to try sea fishing for the first time ever, next week. You reckon weedless jigs be handy? Like a cheb rig with a soft plastic. They work in lakes 🤣
Usually with sea fishing, most people will use 20 lb braid. And a 30 to 40 lb leader, so weed is not actually a problem! Rocks are the problem! The wordless laws are just not necessary in most situations. They would have a place on an estuary, where there's eel grass and that sort of thing
Not far from you down in St Ives, Cornwall. Did get me a lil pollock yesterday and my boy got a schoolie bass. Lost a few lures but retrieved some at low tide earlier today. Excellent video Billy. What IS that black metal lure - looks like a SG Surf Seeker/black pearl - just blacker... Looks like Ireland is treating you well - tight lines brother.
Great video thanks Billy! Fabulous mark there. Some beautiful dark markings & colours on the Wexford Pollock, and a tidy few Mackerel. Question - if you're freezing Mackerel for bait, do ya clean them? Reason for asking is that I bought some whole frozen ones from a tackle shop, and when they defrost, they absolutely stink. I've never smelt anything so evil! If you wipe yer paws on yer jeans, you can't get rid of the smell for weeks! Stay safe & well Brother! 🎣🎣👍👍
Hi Trampster, and thank you. That's a good question. If I use them predators, I leave the guts in. And if it's for flatfish, or whatever I gut them first. thanks Brother 👍😁👌
Love it mate great video, beautiful spot and plenty of fish, happy days! How long are you home in beautiful Ireland and are you going back to Norway? 😎🎣👌
Hi Kevin. You can't get the reel the rod anymore, they don't make them. But the rod is daiwa shore spin, and the reel is shimano super 5000. A 15/60gr rod will do the job, and just a 4000/ 5000. Thanks Brother 👍😁
Great action! It was worth the wait. I know you spend all your time fishing the salt water but do you know any good pike spots inland? Back in the day Ireland was famous for big pike. Cheers brother!
Hello Billy, what app do you use to check water depths, u can find a decent one but yours seems handy. When's your next trip over to Norway, some awesome videos you put up over there.

Hi I had the same question about the navigation app. I can't seem to find one that does not require a subscription? Is the one that you use free and if so could you share the name of it please
Hi Christopher. You can use it for free if it is the light version, but it will not work in the country your device is registered in. So if you wanted to work on home grounds you will have to subscribe there is nobody that has a free version. Thanks Brother 👍😁
