Oh, man, You're Gonna Get It! That Petty disc's the one with *Listen To Her Heart* & that song is one of those that reeeally makes me wanna play in a band. Like, who doesn't just neeed to crank out that riff?! 🎸
Hey its me the vacuum shop guy! Great video! Hope you liked that Little Steven album! my shop name is Oreck Vacuums and Records - look forward to seeing you out here again someday although I told Dylan that I get to cart you guys around for a day for some propper food stops and some killer stores he didnt know about!
Hey there!!! Thanks again for having us over! The selection was awesome: See now I definitely need to make it back over there. I’m all in for good food and shops. 🙌🏻
Love that Kurt Vile record. Did not know that there was an actual mural for that album cover until I saw your road trip video. The Records was one of the first power pop bands I got into back in the day. and yeah those early Tom Petty albums are fire. One of my favorite vinyl scores many many years ago: I was digging through a bargain bin and there was a copy of Tom Petty 'You're Gonna Get It" which I needed at the time and it turned out to be a red vinyl promo copy for like two bucks!
Another fun video, Emma! My heart was filled with the best sort of melancholy joy when I listened to how you love the most NJ album of all time, Nebraska!
Hi Emma, Your passion for these records comes through your videos. I was lucky enough to see The Records in '78 at Syracuse University, an afternoon show outside. I finally picked up that Black Crows album also. Have a good weekend, thanks!
Now that’s a real vinyl finds episode. I love it. Nice to see Bruce and the Bangles. I don’t know if you already own it or not, but “Doll Revolution “ is a Bangles album I think you would really enjoy. Great video Emma!
Fantastic haul. Pretty cool you were gifted a record. You mentioned Jeff Lynne. If you like ELO they are playing in Chicago this Friday and Saturday night. Speaking of Lynne and Petty, make sure to check out the Traveling Wilburys. It was a super group consisting of Petty and Lynne along with Bob Dylan, George Harrison and Roy Orbison. Their music is something you would probably like. Have a nice week!
Hey Jim! I actually saw Jeff last weekend in Cincinnati. I’ll probably do a video on that in the future. Love the Traveling Wilburys. I have volume 1 on vinyl :) I hope you’re having a great week!
Richard S is such a nice guy! Solid Petty pickups. I have that Marshall Crenshaw album; it was a recent thrift store find. This make me sound old, but I bought Nebraska the week it came out 😔
Hi Emma Awesome video. Besides being from Philly, I'm a huge Tom Petty fan. Nice to see you picking up some of those Petty essentials. The rabbit hole is deep.
Not the "baby girl!" Heck yeah to all the Petty, Spike is a true story, about some big shot in a bar in FL. Southern Accents is my favorite tune by TP! Marshall, heck yeah! Such a great debut! I need to do that contest of yours.
Oh yes, I am a fan of The Records. I have the UK pressing of the first album with the cool bonus 12". They do not get enough praise. Great production by Mutt Lange, too. I need that Pezband album. I streamed it here on the Tube and thought it was great. I heard a few of those Beach Boys reissues from the 70s with the "MASTERED BY CAPITOL" stamps. Wow, those are the ones to buy. They sounded incredible. Greetings from "My Hometown," Freehold, NJ. Nebraska was recorded the town next to me in Colts Neck. (My brother actually went to Colts Neck High School.) Nebraska is "very Jersey," haha.
Yay - more The Records fans!! I agree - they’re definitely underrated. If you love The Records then YES, pick up Pezband stuff. Great, classic power pop. Thanks for watching!
100%@Black Crowes and their She Talks to Angels song. That one hits me in the feels each time I hear it ... Jealous Again, Hard to Handle ... all so, so good! Great pick!
Hey Emma! Thank you soooo much for the shout out for my channel!! 😃👍 You rock (and yay peer pressure! Jk!)😆 Great vinyl picks from the Jersey trip- I’m on team ‘Southern Accents doesn’t suck’..one if my fav TP albums tbh. Take care! R
Hey Richard! You are so welcome - for the shoutout and the peer pressure :) lol. I’m going to need you and Alex to fight about Southern Accents next stream. I’ll ref. Talk soon!
If you’re digging Kurt Vile, check out the two albums after that - super Neil Young inspired with some more great long jams. I’m sure Jon maybe already bugged you about it, but check out the new MJ Lenderman too. Can’t go wrong with any of the Big Thief albums either.
Hi Emma - You're Gonna Get It is my favorite Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers album & a favorite of the decade for me. 30 minutes of pop perfection. There is an interesting version of When The Time Comes on an anthology that was originally going to open the album but was replaced at the last moment by the more intense version on the actual album. Phil Seymour from Dwight Twilley's band got Tom signed to Shelter then run by Leon Russell !
Hi Emma, What a killer vinyl haul!!! And what a killer contest you have going I will be taking a trip with the fam on the 30th but I will tune in to see the drawing, what time is the drawing taking place? Take care Emma🤗 Craig
Hey Craig! The deadline for entries on the 30th. I’ll probably do a drawing later that week. Maybe Tuesday or Wednesday. I’ll keep everyone posted on the exact day. :)
Marshall Buddy Holly Crenshaw I did like the 1982 single that you just sang but never understood why was he playing Buddy Holly in 1987 La Bamba ? when Elvis Costello could have played the part better .
Great video! Good snags on all the Petty albums. I love The Records and have an OG copy of their first album, and besides Starry Eyes I always loved this track ua-cam.com/video/o2EkJPSuiDk/v-deo.html Love that Bangles album and Nebraska! Cheers

Thank you so much, Ralph. It’s always great hearing from you. 😊

Awesome video. Besides being from Philly, I'm a huge Tom Petty fan. Nice to see you picking up some of those Petty essentials. The rabbit hole is deep.
Hey Rich! Good to hear from you. The never ending rabbit hole … ugh. Lol.

Would love to see an entry from you :)
Kurt Vile-they are all pretty good. Your next two should be Smoke Rings For My Halo and b’lieve I’m Going Down.
I’ll echo Smoke Ring- absolutely stunningly good album 👍
I will check these out. Thank you for the recommendations & for tuning in! :)
I love Repo Records, I go in there 3 days a week usually.
Repo was awesome!
@@EightVinylLow Yes it is and I live 2 miles from it, rarely does a week go by when I'm not there.

Are the Records anything like the Producers
If you’re digging Kurt Vile, check out the two albums after that - super Neil Young inspired with some more great long jams. I’m sure Jon maybe already bugged you about it, but check out the new MJ Lenderman too. Can’t go wrong with any of the Big Thief albums either.
Will do! Thanks for the heads up :)

Hey David! I’d probably rank YGGI towards maybe 4-5 for me. I agree though - such a pop powerhouse. Have a great rest of your weekend!

Good finds - would I qualify for the youngest member of the VC at 54?
Thank you!! YMOTVC has no age requirement 😎 LOL.

Thank you for watching! :)
Been a while since your last video.
I know :( … I usually don’t like to disappear for that long but things have been busy. Thanks for tuning in! :)

1980s a lost decade for music pretty much
